This article presents and explores the axioms and core ideas, or ides-force, of the Fascist ideologies of the first third of the twentieth century. The aim is to identify the features that define the term Classical Fascism as a conceptual category in the study of politics and to uncover the core ideas of its political theory. This analysis requires an appraisal of both the ides-force themselves and the political use that is made of them. If these appreciations are correct, Classical Fascism is characterized by a set of ideological and political aims and methods in which ideas, attitudes and behaviours are determined by an anti-democratic palingenetic ultranationalism underpinned by a sacralized ideology; the quest for a united, indissoluble society as apolitical system and, at the same time, the collective myth that mobilizes and redeems the nation; and third, violence as a political vehicle applied unchecked against internal opposition and against external enemies who challenge the nations progression towards the dream of rebirth and the culmination of this progression in the form of an empire.

El component religis ha estat molt important en la formaci de persones que han tingut un paper destacat en lanomenada societat civil a partir de la recuperaci de la democrcia: la formaci religiosa que van rebre va desenvocar, posteriorment, en acci poltica. I aquesta aproximaci l'hem treballada a travs de la fora duna publicaci anomenada 'Forja', una revista de la Confraria de la Mare de Du de Montserrat de Virtlia, que articul al seu voltant tot un camp simblic de sentit. Sha descrit el que sha anomenat entorn Virtlia, un entorn creat per unes institucions, les escoles Virtlia i la Confraria de la Mare de Du de Montserrat de Virtlia, i una xarxa de relacions personals. Les escoles Virtlia van ser vigents entre 1939 i 1995. Ms de cinquanta anys i generacions, sent les del periode 1940-1960 en el centre daquest treball.

This paper contributes to the literature on both embodied technical progress and firm dynamics, by formulating an endogenous growth model where selection and imitation play a fundamental role in helping capital good producers to learn about the productivity of technologies embodied in new plants. By calibrating the model to some key aggregates particularly relevant for the embodied capital literature, among them the growth rate of the relative investment price, the model quantitatively replicates the main facts associated to firm dynamics, such as the entry rate and the tail index of the establishment size distribution. In line with the previous literature, it also predicts a contribution to productivity growth of embodied technical progress and selection of around 60%

Este trabajo de investigacin tiene como objetivo el anlisis de las circunstancias sociopolticas que propiciaron la aparicin y consolidacin del nacionalismo como paradigma dominante en la creacin de una nueva identidad colectiva coreana. El nacionalismo ha sido, en las ltimas dcadas, el discurso dominante dentro de la sociedad y la poltica coreana. De la derecha a la izquierda, pasando por los conservadores y los radicales, el pueblo coreano ha acogido de manera anloga el discurso nacionalista, siendo un instrumento utilizado abiertamente por las diferentes fuerzas gubernamentales para su propia legitimacin poltica y moral tanto en el norte como en el sur.

Contemporary policy makers in most European destination countriesexpress a great concern about reunification of migrants families. Newrestrictions multiply in almost all countries, on the grounds thatmigrants would take advantage of a too lax system and that it wouldfoster an influx of non-desirable migrants. So far, quantitative evidenceis scarce on migrants practices in matter of family reunification.Taking advantage of a unique longitudinal dataset that includesSenegalese individuals surveyed both at origin (in Senegal) and inEurope (France, Italy and Spain), we perform event-history analyses toshow three things. First, couple separation is very often a long lastingsituation. Second, when separated because of international migration,wives and husbands do not only reunify in Europe but quite commonlyin Senegal. And third, those who reunify in Europe are those who arethe most adapted or adaptable to the European culture and economy.

It has been claimed that extreme black holes exhibit a phenomenon of flux expulsion for Abelian Higgs vortices, irrespective of the relative width of the vortex to the black hole. Recent work by two of the authors showed a subtlety in the treatment of the event horizon, which cast doubt on this claim. We analyze in detail the vortexextreme black hole system, showing that, while flux expulsion can occur, it does not do so in all cases. We give analytic proofs for both expulsion and penetration of flux, in each case deriving a bound for that behavior. We also present extensive numerical work backing up, and refining, these claims, and showing in detail how a vortex can end on a black hole in all situations. We also calculate the back reaction of the vortex on the geometry, and comment on the more general vortexblack hole system.

The archives of the Prefecture of the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs provide a perspective from which to reconstruct the broad range of legal circumstances in which Spanish residents in various regions of the country find themselves immersed (assets of relatives who have died without wills or family in Peru, political conflicts, legal problems -whether criminal or civil as a result of business activities- or the requested intervention ofconsular authorities when decisions considered detrimental to their compatriots are made by prefects and sub-prefects). The legal framework protecting Spanish nationals in Peru is analysed to understand the mechanisms of immigration in the country and the mechanisms that led them to keep their Spanish nationality, even after establishing wide-reaching family and business interests

Norton in the genesis, published in 1932, and new edition in 1938, of Walter B. Cannon"s book The Wisdom of the Body. With the analysis of this case study, we aimed at contributing to the current criticism of the dominant view, which tries, in an uncritical manner, that scientific popularization follows an ineluctable, continuous and linear evolution.

El 31 de desembre de 1945 les cons franquistes van aprovar una Llei de Redempci de Censos especfica per a Catalunya. Es tractava d'una llei que permetia als censataris, s a dir, als emfiteutes, als propietaris de finques gravades amb censos, d'accedir a la propietat plena de les "seves" finques, s a dir, de les finques de les quals eren titulars del domini til. D'entrada, la promulgaci d'una llei com aquesta, en el marc d'un rgim franquista, pot provocar un cert desconcert. En el discurs historiogrfic dominant sobre l'Espanya contempornia, la supervivncia dels censos ha estat vista com una prova de la supervivncia dels drets feudals, s a dir, com una clara rmora del passat, com una evidencia del carcter incomplet de la revoluci liberal, i tamb com un obstacle al desenvolupament agrari i, per tant, al creixement econmic'. Una llei de redempci de censos ha tendit a ser vista, en aquest context, com una llei clarament beneficiosa per al conjunt de la societat i, en particular, per a la pagesia i els sectors ms populars. El corollari que es deriva daquesta percepci implica, admetem-ho, una visi favorable al paper del franquisme: aquest regim hauria exercit, en aquest terreny especfic de les relacions socials agrries, un paper modernitzadori, i tamb, un paper clarament favorable a les classes populars

L'espionatge s una prctica que, en tant que poc coneguda pel seu component fosc i discret, ha estat present en la Histria de la Humanitat des de lEdat Mitjana fins als nostres dies. El present treball intenta dur a terme un estat de la qesti sobre el paper de lespionatge sovitic en la primera meitat del segle XX, concretament, des del naixement de lEstat bolxevic (la Revoluci Russa de 1917) fins a la fi de la Segona Guerra Mundial (el 1945). En aquest sentit, els mbits analitzats comporten una diversitat que deixa palesa la complexitat de lentramat burocrtic i organitzatiu adjacent a aquest ofici. Tamb geogrficament esdev una tasca transversal estesa per tot el Planeta. Aix tamb, els parmetres emprats per lespionatge sovitic no comprenen lmits i les purgues acabaran esdevenint lnic instrument possible per a aconseguir imposar el seu gran propsit: La Revoluci Socialista Mundial. Ents com a una prctica dirigida pel propi Stalin, a voltes oberta a voltes oculta, lespionatge tamb acabar esdevenint una tasca per a espiar els propis espies la majoria dels quals seran titllats de tradors, trotskistes i feixistes

The present paper aims at an historical reconstruction, in the framework of the publishing industry in the years between the two World Wars, of the role played by the publisher William W. This paper describes Question Waves, an algorithm that can be applied to social search protocols, such as Asknext or Sixearch. In this model, the queries are propagated through the social network, with faster propagation through more trustable acquaintances. Question Waves uses local information to make decisions and obtain an answer ranking. With Question Waves, the answers that arrive first are the most likely to be relevant, and we computed the correlation of answer relevance with the order of arrival to demonstrate this result. We obtained correlations equivalent to the heuristics that use global knowledge, such as profile similarity among users or the expertise value of an agent. Because Question Waves is compatible with the social search protocol Asknext, it is possible to stop a search when enough relevant answers have been found; additionally, stopping the search early only introduces a minimal risk of not obtaining the best possible answer. Furthermore, Question Waves does not require a re-ranking algorithm because the results arrive sorted
