Estudio especroscópico de objetos de bronce procedentes de la sec. est. corte J. Ullastret

Con intención de comprobar una posible evolución en la composición de las aleaciones de los objetos de bronce en diversos períodos cronológicos, así como de establecer posibles diferencias entre piezas de naturaleza diversa, y principalmente con ánimo de demostrar la fabricación de las mismas en el yacimiento por medio de la comparación de escorias y fragmentos de piezas terminadas de una misma procedencia locativa, intentando al mismo tiempo determinar la procedencia del mineral utilizado, procedimos a escoger una serie de veinticinco muestras de bronce provenientes del corte J, que junto al corte Q, situado a poca distancia del mismo, son las zonas que 'han aportado una mayor cantidad de elementos de bronce en el yacimiento de Ullastret.

Les ceràmiques gregues, sobretot atiques, s' estudien des del punt de vista tipologic i decoratiu, pero també atenent a les categories funcionals i a la posició d'aquests materials dins el conjunt de cerarruques fines i dins del conjunt de ceramiques d'importació. Es condou l'existencia d'una facies original, pero vinculada, per diferents raons, amb la de la Iberia centre-meridional i amb la de l'area hel·lenitzant del golf del Lleó.

L'Oracional hispànic de Verona i la topografia cristiana de Tarraco a l'Antiguitat cristiana: possibilitats i límits

L'Oracional hispanic de Verona ha estat sempre referencia obligada per als estudis de topografia de l'Antiguitat tardana a Tarragona. L'estudi intenta conjugar la litúrgia amb l'arqueologia per a coneixer l'emplaçament de les esglésies de Tarraco vers el 700. L'analisi litúrgica de l'Oracional no només permet assegurar que les conegudes rubriques de les processons del diumenge de Carnestoltes no pertanyen a l'ordo catedral, sinó que, també, permet identificar una quarta església -a més de les de Sant Fructuós, Sant Pere i la Catedral-, per a la qual va ser adaptat el Codex Veronensis i que, probablement, estava advocada a sant Hipolit. També és novedosa la proposta per a l'emplaçament de l'església de Sant Pere, en una volta de la capçalera oriental del Circ -desafectat de la seva funció com a edifici d'espectacles- que argumentem mitjançant un text de 1174 del Diplomatari de Poblet.

La necròpoli talaiòtica de s'Illot des Porros

El jaciment és situat dins del terme municipal de Santa Margalida, a la part meridional de la badia d' AIcúdia, damunt d'un petit illot de forma vagament el·lipsoidal, d'uns 70 m per 45 m, situat a uns 50 m de la línia de costa i a uns 500 m a l' oest de la gran necropoli de Son Real (o Punta deIs Fenicis) (Tarradell, 1964), amb la que guarda una relació evident (Uim. 1). La hipotesi que en epoca antiga hagués pogut estar unida aterra ferma (Tarradell, 1964,23) és, segons sembla, versemblant, pero de moment no ha estat verificada. Les restes arqueologiques es concentren a la meitat meridional, ja que la resta de l'illot a penes s'aixeca per damunt del nivell del mar i és batuda per les onades; no sembla probable que mai hi hagi hagut en aquesta zona cap tipus d'ocupació humana.

Preliminary report of the first season work of the International Pluridisciplinary Archaeological Expedition to Bactria 2007

A prior long-term and complex evaluation of the already available data on the geophysical prospecting during the first season work carried out at 2006, at the archaeological site of Tchinguiz Tepe of Termez, took place to decide the strategy to follow during the campaign of 2007. This previous evaluation of the information, on one hand, leaded to the decision to increase the geophysical prospecting at Tchinguiz Tepe, on the other hand, to decide the exact location of areas where the archaeological interventions.would carry out. The main objective at the beginning of this new season was to crosscheck the reliabilityof the measurements and, at the same time, to establish the unknown up to the present archaeologicaland chronological sequence of Tchinguiz Tepe. Meanwhile, the geophysical prospecting also wasextended to the outskirts of the city were the localisation of an unknown up to now Buddhist Monasterywas possible.

The International Pluridisciplinary Archaeological Expedition in Bactria (IPAEB) was created in 2006.The name underlines the international character of the team (which includes Uzbeks, Spanish, French, British and Greek members), the presence of specialists from various fields apart from archaeology and the fame of Bactria1.

This year the development of our project can be divided into two main clearly different parts, on one hand the laboratory work, where the sampled ceramic individuals has been prepared and analyzed and the elaboration of the data obtained during the excavation of 2007 has been finished and, on the other hand, the field work developed at the archaeological site during this specific year (2008).In the mark of the analytical work a significant number of ceramic individuals (144) from the different stratigraphical units from various areas of the excavation of Termez and Tchinguiz Tepe sampled duringthe new and previous field works has been archaeometrically characterized. This specific material includedindividuals dated into the Hellenistic and Sassanian period, which has been confirmed by C14dating upon organic samples.At the same time, in the mark of the field work of 2008 the archaeological record, already started tobe under study during the excavation of 2007, has been completed and two new archaeological recordshave been registered on of which is located in the area of Tchinguiz Tepe. For the archeological studythe information of the previous geophysical prospecting has been indisputably taken into considerationand the same methodology has been applied to crosscheck the latter archaeological results.

The archaeological site of Cuyacabras (Quintanar de la Sierra, Burgos) is one of main early medieval reference settlements in Upper Arlanza basin lands and it attracts a great amount of visitors. The monumental featured half-caved church and the necropolis consisting of several burials dug into the rock present around the whole area are material evidences of an ancient hill town which has remained uninhabited from middle XIIIth century. New fieldworks on this whole site, excavated during the sixties, have been focused on improving the scientific impact of the site and setting up to date the records and information entries for the necropolis. All obtained data emphasize the weakness of several principles used to put in value the settlement, and they also suggest a revision of several-year-old discussions on one hand, and on the other one, they encourage scholars to propound new up to date theories which will fi t better with our knowledge"s current context.

En tot cas, jo voldria que aquesta conferència fos això que he dit: una breu lliçó sobre la importància de les equacions diferencials. Parlaré d'elles des de el punt de vista del models, és a dir, dels fenòmens que modelitzeu. I intentaré explicar que malgrat el seu origen antic, totes elles segueixen presentant avui en dia problemes nous i interessants, tant des de el punt de vista teòric com pràctic.

Cuevas ceremoniales en Teotihuacán en el período Postclásico

En un artículo anterior, presentamos algunos de los datos obtenidos durante los trabajos de investigación realizados en las cuevas situadas al sudeste de la Pirámide del Sol (lámina 1, cuadrante N3E2, Millon 1973). Durante los meses de marzo a agosto de 1993 se realizaron excavaciones en esta área, que permitieron definir un complejo subterráneo ceremonial compuesto por tres cuevas integradas dentro de un patio hundido. En este artículo se exponen los datos arqueológicos de la tercera cueva que ha proporcionado materiales pertenecientes a fases de ocupación posteotihuacanas (900/1000-1200 dC) y su relación con otras investigaciones realizadas en la zona arqueológica en los últimos años.

El objetivo de este breve artículo es presentar dos pequeños fragmentos de bronce procedentes de un sepulcro de La Clota (Calaceite, Teruel) que han sido identificados recientemente como pertenecientes a un trípode de tipo chipriota. Pasamos revista sucintamente a las principales cuestiones que plantea el hallazgo: cronología, orígenes, contexto social e influencia en el artesanado local.
