Generació bisbalenca del 77: Mazoni, Miquel Abras i Sanjosex : Retrat d’una historia musical

El present Treball Final de Grau se centra en la vida i la carrera professional de tres cantautors bisbalencs que formen part del panorama musical català actual: Miquel Abras, Jaume Pla (conegut com a Mazoni) i Carles Sanjosé (conegut com a Sanjosex). A través d’ells s’ha estirat un fil que ens ha portat a descobrir la historia musical de la Bisbal des dels inicis de la famosa orquestra La Principal de la Bisbal (1888), passant per les dècades dels anys 80 i 90 amb grups com Komando Moriles o Club Moriarty, fins arribar a d’avui amb ells tres. L’anomenada Escena Bisbalenca avarca un panorama musical molt important per a la capital de la comarca del Baix Empordà. A partir d’aquí, s’han fet entrevistes a tota persona que hi estava relacionada, com la regidora de cultura de l’Ajuntament de la Bisbal, la discogràfica Bankrobber, els encarregats del projecte Escena Bisbalenca, entre altres. Gràcies a aquestes trobades, s’ha pogut fer un reportatge exhaustiu de per què la música a la Bisbal pren un paper tan rellevant; i poder saber per què tres musics que han nascut al mateix any i al mateix lloc han triomfat a la vegada.

L'impacte de la iconografia musical en les dinàmiques socials : David Bowie o el poder social de les imatges musicals

El present treball de recerca posa de relleu que la música és un element fonamental de la configuració de les societats humanes actuals i analitza un cas concret, el de l'artista britànic David Bowie, per il·lustrar els mecanismes pels quals un artista pot convertir-se en una icona i, d'aquesta manera, influir decissivament en la configuració d'elements de l'imaginari social compartit.

Simulating fuel consumption and vehicle emissions in an Australian context

Road transport is a major source of air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions around the world. There is an increasing interest in accurate information on local vehicle emission levels for policy development and sustainable traffic management. Previous studies have shown that emission predictions for the Australian situation need to reflect both the Australian fleet and driving behaviour to avoid unreliable outcomes. This paper discusses a new Australian vehicle emission software (PΔP) and a case-study where traffic simulation software (Aimsun) is combined with PΔP to demonstrate how consistent results can be achieved for the Australian situation. The case-study is an Australian city modelled using the microscopic simulator to generate the required trajectory data of each individual vehicle for the emission model. The simulation results are used in a number of ways: to assess the impacts of urban driving behaviour on fuel consumption, to create maps showing where and when elevated emission levels occur and to compare results with another program (COPERT Australia). The paper will also discuss where further research is required.

Pathétique Sonata : a study of musical aspects in subjection of aesthetic aims

This study makes an attempt to capture some of the aesthetic ideas prospering in the latter half of the eighteenth century and investigates in what way these are possibly being manifested in different musical aspects in Beethoven's early work, and most specifically in his eight sonata, often referred to as the Pathétique sonata. Beginning the first chapter with an introduction to aesthetic notions in Beethoven's age, the second chapter is mostly concerned with anecdotes regarding the Pathétique sonata. Further the third chapter exhibits possible influences between Cherubini, Beethoven and Wagner, and the last three chapters treat different musical and aesthetic aspects like Beethoven's relation to the C minor tonality, the German Sturm und Drang movement, and finally some parallels that can be found between literature and music.

The relevance of theobromine for the beneficial effects of cocoa consumption.

Cocoa consumption began in America and in the mid sixteenth Century it quickly spread to Europe. Beyond being considered a pleasant habit due to its rich sweet lingering taste, chocolate was considered a good nutrient and even a medicine. Traditionally, health benefits of cocoa have been related with the high content of antioxidants of Theobroma cocoa beans. However, the direct psychoactive effect due to methylxanthines in cocoa is notable. Theobromine and caffeine, in the proportions found in cocoa, are responsible for the liking of the food/beverage. These compounds influence in a positive way our moods and our state of alertness. Theobromine, which is found in higher amounts than caffeine, seems to be behind several effects attributed to cocoa intake. The main mechanisms of action are inhibition of phosphodiesterases and blockade of adenosine receptors. Further mechanisms are being explored to better understand the health benefits associated to theobromine consumption. Unlike what happens in other mammals -pets- included, theobromine is safe for humans and has fewer unwanted effects than caffeine. Therefore, theobromine deserves attention as one of the most attractive molecules in cocoa.

La improvisació musical, sota el microscopi.

UNA DE LES FORMES MÉS COMPLEXES de comportament creatiu és la improvisació musical, tan típica d'alguns estils com el jazz i el freestyle rap, però que tanmateix es pot aplicar a qualsevol estil, des de la música clàssica fins al rock'n'roll, passant per la música tradicional. Roger E. Beaty, de la Universitat de Carolina del Nord, als EUA, ha publicat un treball a Neuroscience and Biobehavioral Reviews on compara l'activitat neural durant la improvisació musical en músics de diferents estils. Els resultats indiquen que els processos mentals seguits per uns i altres no són exactament els mateixos, i que les principals diferències es troben en la predominança de control cognitiu durant la improvisació o alternativament de pensament divergent.

By means of a literature review this paper aims at shedding more light on the potentialities of unhealthy food/drink taxation in changing eating patterns and life styles and hence combating the obesity epidemic. One remarkable point that emerges when assessing the set of selected papers is the existence of a wide diversity of objectives, methodologies, settings and datasets, policies implemented and results achieved by all these studies, which undoubtedly adds complexity to any attempt to draw a general conclusion on fast food taxation. Most of the examined studies predict a rather modest fiscal impact on unhealthy food and drinks consumption and/or nutrition intake and consequently a poor result on weight loss and obesity, by the interplay of several factors among them the effects of cross-price elasticities.

Educación musical intercultural a través de un proyecto europeo Comenius y su aportación a las competencias básicas

La experiencia se enmarca en un proyecto de intercambio Comenius desarrollado entre los años 2002-2005, con la participación de seis centros europeos. A partir de la asignatura de prácticas de los alumnos de la Universidad de Girona, se ha implicado la educación musical en el proyecto y se ha desarrollado, a lo largo de tres cursos, una rica experiencia intercultural a través de la canción, la danza y la composición. A su vez, se analizan las aportaciones del proyecto al trabajo de las competencias básicas de la etapa

Desenvolupar competències ètiques a l'educació musical i corporal. Un estudi empíric als estudis de mestre en educació infantil a la Universitat de Barcelona

This paper presents an ongoing investigation regarding ethical competence, protective factors, strengths of character and coping strategies analyzed in a sample of students in Early Childhood Education Degree from the University of Barcelona. Along with a theoretical study will be an observational study using standardized instruments and standardized, which include the VIA-IS questionnaire Seligman. With all that is expected to draw conclusions to improve the training of teachers in kindergarten, especially since the subjects of musical expression and body where they develop these skills ethics.

Entornos e-learning como soporte de aprendizaje a la asignatura educación musical en infancia

The music is a compulsory subject in the first stage of primary education. We detected several teachers from different educational areas, including the area of music, using e-learning platforms and web tools for teaching the curriculum that marks the “Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya”. From the body of analysis has drawn the picture in e-learning platforms, analyzing the types and uses. Through the sample of e-learning platforms in music education, have identified four schools with e-learning platforms in advanced stage. We performed a case study on one of these platforms for content analysis and validate the interview format used; this has served to create a model that can be used in other centers with e-learning platform for music subject.

De la metodologia a la pràctica : anàlisi de les metodologies d'ensenyament musical i elaboració d'una proposta metodològica per a la pràctica docent en l'àmbit del llenguatge musical a les escoles de música

Aquest treball vol ser una revisió d'algunes de les principals metodologies desenvolupades al llarg del segle XX per l'ensenyament del llenguatge musical. Aquesta revisió serà completada amb una anàlisi comparada de les visions filosòfiques i els objectius didàctics de les diferents propostes, d'on extreure unes conclusions per a una possible nova proposta didàctica. Les metodologies que s'analitzen són les dels següents autors: Émile Jaques-Dalcroze, Carl Orff, Zoltán Kodály, Edgar Willems i Maurice Martenot.
