Anàlisi dels coneixements intuïtius i del canvi conceptual en infants de parvulari, sobre els animals que viuen el seu entorn

En aquest projecte es reflexiona sobre l’ensenyament de les ciències al parvulari i com els infants aprenent conceptes relacionats amb el regne animal. La ciència escolar classifica la gran diversitat d’espècies que formen aquest regne en dos grans blocs, els vertebrats i els invertebrats, però en els patrons que ens ofereixen els animals per descobrir a ull nu aquestes particularitats són molt complexes d’observar. La visió que tenen els infants de parvulari sobre els animals del seu entorn sovint és molt allunyada de la realitat i els alumnes es creen concepcions alternatives per entendre els animals que observen. En l’estudi es realitza un recull de dades, a l’inici i el final d’una unitat didàctica, analitzant les representacions i les diferents formes de classificació dels animals de l’entorn que utilitzen els infants. Les conclusions són una reflexió sobre el perquè d’aquests coneixements alternatius i la manera de com aconseguir un canvi conceptual.

Per un patrimoni conceptual de J.-J. Rousseau

Més enllà de les controvèrsies sobre l’obra de Jean-Jacques Rousseau, el cert és que la seva obra i la mitologia que al seu entorn s’ha construït formen part del que podríem anomenar el patrimoni conceptual de la pedagogia.1 Escrits i idees, matèria i pensament, però també proposta i resposta, formarien, per tant, l’elenc dels elements a l’entorn de la seva figura als quals s’ha atorgat valor. Tres elements que, en si mateixos, representen una aportació a la pedagogia, tant per allò que s’esdevingué com per les reaccions que provocà. De tal manera que bé podem afirmar que aquest autor esdevé com un dels fonaments de la memòria pedagògica. En aquest sentit, no és estrany que, en ocasió del tricentenari del seu naixement, hagin estat diverses les iniciatives per a la difusió de la seva biografia, del seu pensament i, també, del deixant que les seves propostes han tingut.

Place branding : a conceptual and theoretical framework

Within the context of rising competition between territories, identity has become the most important element of recognition, differentiation and commodification in the communicative process within which cities, regions and countries position themselves. Geographical spaces thus compete in terms of this identity, which is then subjected to fierce comparison and competition (Nogué, 1999; Anholt, 2007a). The territorial brand thus entails the reinvention of places through a process of brand construction (branding) based on the promotion of the individual and collective identities of geographical spaces; these identities, in turn, are imbued with the intangible factors associated with their respective territorial identities.

Standardized enforcement: Access to justice vs. contractual innovation

We model the effect of contract standardization on the development of markets andthe law. In a setting in which biased judges can distort contract enforcement, we findthat the introduction of a standard contract reduces enforcement distortions relative toreliance on precedents, exerting two effects: i) it statically expands the volume of trade,but ii) it crowds out the use of open-ended contracts, hindering legal evolution. We shedlight on the large-scale commercial codification undertaken in the nineteenth centuryin many countries (even common-law ones) during a period of booming commerce andlong-distance trade.

Application of theoretical models to financial innovation

The present paper is aimed at providing a general strategic overview of the existing theoretical models that have applications in the field of financial innovation. Whereas most financialdevelopments have relied upon traditional economic tools, a new stream of research is defining a novel paradigm in which mathematical models from diverse scientific disciplines are being applied to conceptualize and explain economic and financial behavior. Indeed, terms such as ‘econophysics’ or ‘quantum finance’ have recently appeared to embrace efforts in this direction. As a first contact with such research, the project will present a brief description of some of the main theoretical models that have applications in finance and economics, and will try to present, if possible, potential new applications to particular areas in financial analysis, or new applicable models. As a result, emphasiswill be put on the implications of this research for the financial sector and its future dynamics.

Pintoresco : Evaluación de los procesos de aprendizaje conceptual

El documento recoge los hitos del desarrollo de Pintoresco, una aplicación orientada a la evaluación de los procesos de aprendizaje conceptual que se examinan a partir de su uso por usuario ordinario. La aplicación permite obtener datos del proceso de aprendizaje conceptual en un contexto en que la estructura interna de las clases en que se produce una partición no depende de las propiedades específicas de los patrones de estímulo que son distintos para cada usuario sino de la forma lógica de la propia partición.

La Formación de la imagen turística inducida: un modelo conceptual

Teniendo en cuenta que la imagen turística ha sido reconocida como uno de los elementos más influyentes para la competitividad de los destinos turísticos, el principal objetivo de este artículo es construir un marco conceptual que muestre la influencia de la red relacional del destino en su imagen emitida. En este contexto, se asume que la imagen tu rística es una construcción social resultante de lainteracción de los distintos agentes que intervienen en el destino turístico (administraciones públicas, instituciones locales, empresas turísticas, etc.); y se propone un modelo teórico para mostrar los efectos de la red relacional del destino turístico en la calidad de la imagen turística creada en términos de conocimiento generado y, por tanto, en su competitividad

High-growth firms and innovation: an empirical analysis for Spanish firms

This paper analyses the effect of R&D investment on firm growth. We use an extensive sample of Spanish manufacturing and service firms. The database comprises diverse waves of Spanish Community Innovation Survey and covers the period 2004–2008. First, a probit model corrected for sample selection analyses the role of innovation on the probability of being a high-growth firm (HGF). Second, a quantile regression technique is applied to explore the determinants of firm growth. Our database shows that a small number of firms experience fast growth rates in terms of sales or employees. Our results reveal that R&D investments positively affect the probability of becoming a HGF. However, differences appear between manufacturing and service firms. Finally, when we study the impact of R&D investment on firm growth, quantile estimations show that internal R&D presents a significant positive impact for the upper quantiles, while external R&D shows a significant positive impact up to the median. L'educació des del punt de vista racional. El currículum conceptual i procediment evolutiu, els programes de desenvolupament intel·lectual

L’article centra, en primer lloc, el sentit del títol: l’educació que potencia la refl exió lògica i racional, suportada en el còrtex cerebral, i la situació educativa actual, que no té establert amb claredat un currículum educatiu específi c per a l’ensenyament obligatori sobre actituds, sociabilitat, valors, emocionabilitat i creativitat. D’altra banda, es propugnen programes de desenvolupament intellectual molt útils, molts dels quals se centren en el treball que suporta la part cortical del cervell: lògica i operacions mentals deductives, inductives… Per tant, tenim currículums centrats en aspectes racionals que, paradoxalment, requereixen programes transversals sobre aspectes també racionals i, a més, obliden aspectes emocionals i creatius. Finalment, es fan dues propostes-suggeriments: una revisió del currículum basada en les aportacions de les neurociències, i la focalització del currículum en el desenvolupament harmònic de la persona, centrat en quatre pilars: Saber, Fer, Estar i Innovar. Les recents lleis educatives, però, no ho contemplen.

Estratigrafia i evolució conceptual d'un paisatge de muntanya al massís del Garraf: la Maçana-Rovirós-Térmens (Begues)

En aquest estudi, l'aplicació regressiva de tècniques com la prospecció arqueològica, la foto i cartointerpretació, els SIG i el buidatge documental han permès la reconstrucció diacrònica del paisatge de l'àrea de la Maçana-Térmens-Rovirós (Begues). L'estudi paisatgístic del Garraf revesteix un singular interès per la seva condició muntanyenca i la seva intensa antropització. Els entorns de muntanya són medis especialment sensibles a processos de canvi, especialment en el cas del massís del Garraf, proper a importants nuclis d'habitació des de l'antiguitat. El nostre treball mostrarà com, en ocasions, el canvi paisatgístic ha estat irreversible al massís.

Collaborative explicit plasticity framework: a conceptual scheme for the generation of plastic and group-aware user interfaces

The advent of new advances in mobile computing has changed the manner we do our daily work, even enabling us to perform collaborative activities. However, current groupware approaches do not offer an integrating and efficient solution that jointly tackles the flexibility and heterogeneity inherent to mobility as well as the awareness aspects intrinsic to collaborative environments. Issues related to the diversity of contexts of use are collected under the term plasticity. A great amount of tools have emerged offering a solution to some of these issues, although always focused on individual scenarios. We are working on reusing and specializing some already existing plasticity tools to the groupware design. The aim is to offer the benefits from plasticity and awareness jointly, trying to reach a real collaboration and a deeper understanding of multi-environment groupware scenarios. In particular, this paper presents a conceptual framework aimed at being a reference for the generation of plastic User Interfaces for collaborative environments in a systematic and comprehensive way. Starting from a previous conceptual framework for individual environments, inspired on the model-based approach, we introduce specific components and considerations related to groupware.

El debat i l"evolució conceptual de la carpeta d"aprenentatge universitària: un reflex del procès de canvi del model educatiu

[eng] The learning portofolio represents a meeting point for the big questions than have concernend teaching since the 1990s: the formative character of the assessment, the issue of competencies, metacognition and the students's critical thinking, the role played by ICTs, and the idea of collaborative learning considered in the long term. The article looks at how these subjects have taken shape in the learning portofolio and how they have determinded its evolutin.
