Reliable misrepresentation and teleosemantics

Mendelovici (forthcoming) has recently argued that (1) tracking theories of mental representation (including teleosemantics) are incompatible with the possibility of reliable misrepresentation and that (2) this is an important difficulty for them. Furthermore, she argues that this problem commits teleosemantics to an unjustified a priori rejection of color eliminativism. In this paper I argue that (1) teleosemantics can accommodate most cases of reliable misrepresentation, (2) those cases the theory fails to account for are not objectionable and (3) teleosemantics is not committed to any problematic view on the color realism-antirealism debate

Cribatge de simptomatologia depressiva en població universitària catalana : associació amb perfil de personalitat i branca de coneixement dels estudis cursats

La simptomatologia depressiva és una problemàtica incapacitant i freqüent en la població dels països occidentalitzats, tot i que existeix notable disparitat entre les xifres aportades per diferents treballs. Al nostre entorn, a més, no ha estat estudiada en població universitària. La relació de la simptomatologia depressiva amb determinats trets de personalitat, fonamentalment el neuroticisme, ha estat reportada àmpliament en la literatura; tanmateix, no existeixen estudis recents en el nostre entorn, i també hi ha incertesa en la relació entre personalitat i tipologia d’estudis universitaris. Thirty years after neo-liberalism hegemony, the states shows its incapacity for driving democratically exceptional situations like global economical crisis. In this context, it seems a particularly interesting issue to exam the popular alternatives that are growing to reject the institutional paralysis. This work take these problems since European perspective, especially this one of Spain, and its scope is justify the new forms of civil disobedience that are growing. They are analyzed not like"paradoxes" of democracy, but like necessary instruments of participative democracy into a really exceptional scenario

It is considerer through the prism of a new kind of fiction, related to history and an incipient realism, which grows up along the 15th century.
