Magnetization reversal mechanisms in colloidal dispersions of magnetite particles

We have studied the structural and magnetic properties of colloids consisting of different concentrations of magnetite particles dispersed in kerosene. Our data for the temperature dependence of the low field magnetization and the saturation coercive force of the samples evidenced the occurrence, in different temperature ranges, of Neel- and Brown-type relaxation processes whose characteristics were largely influenced by strong dipolar interparticle interactions.

Temperature dependence of the magnetization processes in Co/Al oxide/Permalloy trilayers

The magnetization process of Co/Al oxide/Py trilayers and its evolution with the temperature have been analyzed. The particular behavior of the Co layers, including the shift of the hysteresis loops and a coercivity increase with the decrease of temperature, is related with the apparition of a CoO layer at the Co/Al-oxide interface.

Systematic study of the temperature dependence of the saturation magnetization in Fe, Fe-Ni and Co-based amorphous alloys

Magnetization versus temperature in the temperature interval 2-200 K was measured for amorphous alloys of three different compositions: Fe 81.5B14.5Si4, Fe40Ni38 Mo4B18, and Co70Fe5Ni 2Mo3B5Si15. The measurements were performed by means of a SQUID (superconducting quantum interference device) magnetometer. The aim was to extract information about the different mechanisms contributing to thermal demagnetization. A powerful data analysis technique based on successive minimization procedures has demonstrated that Stoner excitations of the strong ferromagnetic type play a significant role in the Fe-Ni alloy studied. The Fe-rich and Co-rich alloys do not show a measurable contribution from single-particle excitations.

Influence of the pseudopotential on the properties of liquid rubidium at 315 K

The influence of the pseudopotential on both the structure and the self-diffusion of liquid rubidium at the melting point has been investigated by means of molecular-dynamics calculations. The model potential considered has been computed from the pseudopotential of Ashcroft, the dielectric function of Geldart and Vosko, and a Born-Mayer term. Four different values for the core radius which enters as input in the pseudopotential have been considered. In this way we have been able to observe and interpret the effect of this contribution on the properties of the liquid.

ZigBee/ZigBee PRO security assessment based on compromised cryptographic keys

Sensor networks have many applications in monitoring and controlling of environmental properties such as sound, acceleration, vibration and temperature. Due to limitedresources in computation capability, memory and energy, they are vulnerable to many kinds of attacks. The ZigBee specification based on the 802.15.4 standard, defines a set of layers specifically suited to sensor networks. These layers support secure messaging using symmetric cryptographic. This paper presents two different ways for grabbing the cryptographic key in ZigBee: remote attack and physical attack. It also surveys and categorizes some additional attacks which can be performed on ZigBee networks: eavesdropping, spoofing, replay and DoS attacks at different layers. From this analysis, it is shown that some vulnerabilities still in the existing security schema in ZigBee technology.

Diradicals acting through diamagnetic phenylene vinylene bridges: Raman spectroscopy as a probe to characterize spin delocalization

We present a complete Raman spectroscopic study in two structurally well-defined diradical species of different lengths incorporating oligo p-phenylene vinylene bridges between two polychlorinated triphenylmethyl radical units, a disposition that allows sizeable conjugation between the two radicals through and with the bridge. The spectroscopic data are interpreted and supported by quantum chemical calculations. We focus the attention on the Raman frequency changes, interpretable in terms of: (i) bridge length (conjugation length); (ii) bridge conformational structure; and (iii) electronic coupling between the terminal radical units with the bridge and through the bridge, which could delineate through-bond spin polarization, or spin delocalization. These items are addressed by using the"oligomer approach" in conjunction with pressure and temperature dependent Raman spectroscopic data. In summary, we have attempted to translate the well-known strategy to study the electron (charge) structure of π−conjugated molecules by Raman spectroscopy to the case of electron (spin) interactions via the spin delocalization mechanism.

Up-conversion effect of Er- and Yb-doped ZnO thin films

Visible up-conversion in ZnO:Er and ZnO:Er:Yb thin films deposited by RF magnetron sputtering under different O2-rich atmospheres has been studied. Conventional photoluminescence (325 nm laser source) and up-conversion (980 nm laser source) have been performed in the films before and after an annealing process at 800 °C. The resulting spectra demonstrate that the thermal treatment, either during or post-deposition, activates optically the Er3+ ions, being the latter process much more efficient. Moreover, the atmosphere during deposition was also found to be an important parameter, as the deposition under O2 flow increases the optical activity of Er+3 ions. In addition, the inclusion of Yb3+ ions into the films has shown an enhancement of the visible up-conversion emission at 660 nm by a factor of 4, which could be associated to either a better energy transfer from the 2F5/2 Yb level to the 4I11/2 Er one, or to the prevention of having Er2O3 clustering in the films.

El projecte, proposa el canvi de 11 a 25 Kv de la xarxa de mitja tensió de la ciutat de Lleida, amb l'objectiu d'unificar sistemes, avançar cap a una convergència d'unificació de tensions, homogeneïtzar l'explotació, eliminar equips obsolets, reducció d'estocs, etc.

Proyecto de diseño de las instalaciones de climatización y eléctrica de un local destinado a tareas de laboratorio y oficinas para una industria cerámica

El objetivo del presente proyecto será el definir, en su totalidad, las instalaciones de climatización/ventilación y eléctrica, de un local destinado a realizar las tareas de laboratorio de resistencia de materiales y oficinas para una industria cerámica. Esta iniciativa nace como una necesidad de este tipo de empresas a ofrecer unos productos de mayor calidad que la competencia, bastante dura en la zona donde se encuentran. Aún y la existencia de laboratorios homologados que ofrecen este tipo de servicios, se cree necesario este tipo de instalaciones, basados en la investigación de nuevos materiales y/o productos, pudiendo así ofrecer al cliente las máximas garantías de calidad de los productos finales obtenidos.

Projecte d'una instal·lació elèctrica i una instal·lació solar fotovoltaica connectada a la xarxa de baixa tensió, en una nau industrial

Dissenyar la xarxa elèctrica d'una nau industrial i dissenyar una instal·lació solar fotovoltaica connectada a la xarxa de baixa tensió. Per a la instal·lació de la nova xarxa elèctrica s'ha aprofitat tot l'enllumenat, els endolls i els interruptors existents en la nau, de l'anterior instal·lació, que s'ha quedat obsoleta degut a la instal·lació de noves màquines. S'ha escollit una instal·lació solar fotovoltaica connectada a la xarxa elèctrica perquè s'utilitza una energia purament neta i inesgotable, perquè té una bona rentabilitat.

Disseny d'una instal·lació fotovoltaica autònoma amb grup electrogen de suport en un edifici a Artesa de Lleida

El present projecte té com a objectiu l'estudi de la implantació d'una instal·lació fotovoltaica autònoma amb grup electrogen de suport en un edifici a Artesa de Lleida. Aquest edifici es troba aïllat de les xarxes de distribució i per aquest motiu s'ha d'autoabastir energèticament mitjançant els recursos energètics de la zona.

Proyecto de diseño de la totalidad de las instalaciones básicas de un local de restauración

La redacción del proyecto se centra en el diseño y dimensionado de las instalaciones básicas para el correcto funcionamiento de un restaurante. Como punto de partida se toma el diseño del local y sus respectivas zonas. A partir de este punto y con la normativa vigente, en concreto, el Código Técnico de la Edificación, procedemos al cálculo de las instalaciones que harán posible el servicio del local al público. Instalaciones como: eléctrica, climatización y ventilación, incendios, agua, saneamiento, gas, entre otras.

El projecte preten fixar els requeriments tècnis que haurà de complir l'establiment, per poder portar a terme, sense impediments, la posterior legalització de les instal·lacions que són objecte d'aquest projecte.
