XXXTOUR és una empresa que té com a principal negoci fer d'intermediari per a les agències de viatge i els particulars que vulguin reservar places hoteleres, d'una banda, i per als establiments hotelers, de l'altra. Així, doncs, contracta aquestes places a uns proveïdors i les ven a aquests clients. En l'actualitat, els proveïdors comuniquen a XXXTOUR totes les dades referents a les places mitjançant documents impresos i per telèfon, i els treballadors de l'empresa les han d'introduir al sistema d'informació de l'empresa. Per mitjà del nou sistema, els proveïdors, a més de poder emprar la funcionalitat actual, podran accedir al portal d'XXXTOUR i introduir les seves pròpies dades. I quan rebin una petició de places les podran confirmar accedint al portal, de manera que el client tindrà les places sol·licitades molt més aviat, cosa que millora el servei.

Aquest sistema, donarà la possibilitat als funcionaris d'una determinada Delegació, de conèixer la seva productivitat via web, als caps de Servei introduir les avaluacions dels empleats al seu càrrec sense necessitat de reunió prèvia, i al cap de personal la de validar la productivitat i exportar el fitxer resultat a l'aplicació de Nòmines.

Els empleats d¿una empresa volen compartir i consultar les seves imatges per motius laborals i d'oci i volen accedir a aquestes des de qualsevol punt on tinguin accés a Internet. Per aquest motiu la aplicació estarà dissenyada en un entorn Web.

L'objectiu principal és crear una maqueta basada en PLL, que permeti als treballadors de la UOC dur a terme les tasques més rellevants de la seva feina quotidiana. El projecte passa per estudiar quines eines es fan servir en l'actualitat com a punt de referència. A partir d'aquestes trobar les seves homòlogues en PLL i fer que s'integrin dins de la infraestructura actual de l'organització amb el mínim impacte possible

Dur a terme la implementació d'un portal de recerca de feina a través d'Internet. Aquest portal servirà com a punt de trobada entre empreses i treballadors. Permetrà a les empreses publicar les seves ofertes de treball i als usuaris veure aquestes ofertes i inscriure's si ho consideren oportú.

Aquest document és la memòria de com s'ha realitzat el programari Sistema Gestor de Vacances utilitzant la tecnologia Java, concretament, l'estàndard JAVA EE6. Es tracta d'una aplicació web per gestionar les vacances dels treballadors d'una empresa composta per una seu central i varies sucursals distribuïdes per tot Catalunya.

Construcció d'un portal Web per a COMMusic, una famosa empresa de venda de música per Internet. Aquest portal web haurà de permetre l'accés a tres tipus d'usuaris: públic en general, socis i empleats de la botiga. La implementació de tota l'aplicació, ha estat realitzada en el llenguatge Java. S'ha obtat per seguir una arquitectura J2EE, d'aquesta manera ens ha permès realitzar una aplicació robusta, escalable i altament reutilitzable.

With this final master thesis we are going to contribute to the Asterisk open source project. Asterisk is an open source project that started with the main objective of develop an IP telephony platform, completely based on Software (so not hardware dependent) and under an open license like GPL. This project was started on 1999 by the software engineer Mark Spencer at Digium. The main motivation of that open source project was that the telecommunications sector is lack of open solutions, and most of the available solutions are based on proprietary standards, which are close and not compatible between them. Behind the Asterisk project there is a company, Digum, which is the project leading since the project was originated in its laboratories. This company has some of its employees fully dedicated to contribute to the Asterisk project, and also provide the whole infrastructure required by the open source project. But the business of Digium isn't based on licensing of products due to the open source nature of Asterisk, but it's based on offering services around Asteriskand designing and selling some hardware components to be used with Asterisk. The Asterisk project has grown up a lot since its birth, offering in its latest versions advanced functionalities for managing calls and compatibility with some hardware that previously was exclusive of proprietary solutions. Due to that, Asterisk is becoming a serious alternative to all these proprietaries solutions because it has reached a level of maturity that makes it very stable. In addition, as it is open source, it can be fully customized to a givenrequirement, which could be impossible with the proprietaries solutions. Due to the bigness that is reaching the project, every day there are more companies which develop value added software for telephony platforms, that are seriously evaluating the option of make their software fully compatible withAsterisk platforms. All these factors make Asterisk being a consolidated project but in constant evolution, trying to offer all those functionalities offered by proprietaries solutions. This final master thesis will be divided mainly in two blocks totally complementaries. In the first block we will analyze Asterisk as an open source project and Asterisk as a telephony platform (PBX). As a result of this analysis we will generate a document, written in English because it is Asterisk project's official language, which could be used by future contributors as an starting point on joining Asterisk. On the second block we will proceed with a development contribution to the Asterisk project. We will have several options in the form that we do the contribution, such as solving bugs, developing new functionalities or start an Asterisk satellite project. The type of contribution will depend on the needs of the project on that moment.

Aquest projecte es basa en la creació d'una intranet de gestió documental personalitzada i adequada a les necessitats de l'empresa. És una eina basada en la comunicació de l'empresa amb els treballadors des de qualsevol part del mon y per sobre de tot, en qualsevol moment, amb un accés ràpid, senzill i útil. Amb una programació web ampliable i optimitzable. Tot això seguint les regles marcades per als procediments ISO9001 i EN9100.

Lack of physical activity can cause health problems and diminish organizational productivity. We conducted a 12-months long field experiment in a financial services company to study the effects of slow-moving treadmills outfitted for office work on employee productivity and health. 43 sedentary volunteers were assigned randomly to two groups to receive treadmill workstations 7 months apart. Employees could opt at will for standard chair-desk arrangement. Biometric measurements were taken quarterly and weekly online performance surveys were administered to study participants and to more than 200 non-participants and their supervisors.In this study we explore three questions concerning the effects of the introduction of treadmills in the workplace. (1) Does it improve overall physical activity? (2) Does it improve health measures? (3) Does it improve performance? The answers are as follows. (1) Yes (net effect of almost half an hour a day). (2) Yes (small gains, one minor decline). (3) No and yes (initial decline followed by increase to recover to initial level within one year) – based on weekly employee self reports.

This paper analyses the extent to which individual and workplacecharacteristics and regional policies influence the use and duration ofparental leave in Spain. The research is based on a sample of 125,165people, and 6,959 parental leaves stemming from the ‘Sample ofWorking Life Histories’ (SWLH), 2006. The SWLH consists of administrative register data which include information from threedifferent sources: Social Security, Municipality and Income TaxRegisters. We adopt a simultaneous equations approach to analyse theuse (logistic regression) and duration (event history analysis) ofparental leave, which allows us to control for endogeneity and censoredobservations. We argue that the Spanish parental leave scheme increases gender and social inequalities insofar as reinforces genderrole specialization, and only encourages the reconciling of work andfamily life among workers with a good position in the labour market(educated employees with high and stable working status).
