Sistemas agrarios sustentables y transiciones en el metabolismo agrario: desigualdad social, cambios institucionales y transformaciones del paisaje en Catalunya (1850-2010)

How did farmers maintain soil fertility as they cultivated the same land over decades and centuries? How did they transfer energy and nutrients (nitrogen, potassium, phosphorous) across the landscape to fertilize crops? How did farmers structure landscapes (field, pasture, woodland) to sustain communities, ensure long-term productivity, and produce profits? We summarize in this article the results of the ongoing research on the last stage of organic agriculture in Catalonia carried out by our project. We also outline the forthcoming steps to continue our research.

Stereoselective Synthesis of (-)-Spicigerolide

(-)-Spicigerolide was enantioselectively synthesized from a protected (S)-lactaldehyde. The synthesis of the polyacetylated framework relied on two Zn-mediated stereoselective additions of alkynes to aldehydes as well as a regiocontrolled [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement of an allylic acetate. The pyranone moiety was constructed via ring-closing metathesis.

Unsaturated Oxazolopiperidone Lactams: an Unexpected Domino-type Double Conjugate Additioncyclization Process

Reactions of 2-acetylindole enolate with unsaturated oxazolopiperidones 3, 4 and 10 unexpectedly gives pentacyclic dilactams 6, 7 and 11, respectively, resulting from a domino-type process involving two successive conjugate additions and a final cyclization.

S’ha tingut en compte que Salt és una població amb un alt percentatge de població immigrant, el fet que l’AMPA de l’escola s’ha involucrat molt en el projecte d’ampliació, que el projecte es basa en criteris ecològics i de sostenibilitat i que es volia que l’escola quedés ben integrada en el seu entorn

Chorros relativistas de origen estelar: los microcuasares

Galactic microquasars are certainly one of the most recent additions to the field of high energy Astrophysics. These new objects are just X-ray binaries with the ability to generate relativistic jets and their interest has been growing during the last decade. Today, they represent primary targets for all space based observatories working in the X-ray and [gamma]-ray domains. Behind such interest, there is hope that their study will assist us to understand some of the analog phenomena observed in distant quasars and active galactic nuclei, wich share with microquasars practically the same scaled-up physics. Microquasars are also believed to be among the different kind of sources responsible for the violent and ever changing appearance of the [gamma]-ray ski. In this paper we review the general situation of the microquasar topic, their identification and study, including comments on the recent observational and theoretical discoveries most relevant in our opinion.
