L’alè del clarinet : la respiració en la interpretació musical amb el clarinet

El projecte és una proposta d’exploració i reflexió personal sobre la respiració en la interpretació musical amb el clarinet i els aspectes corporals i pedagògics relacionats que fan possible l’estat psicofísic necessari per a una interpretació fluïda, creativa i amb veu pròpia. Per al seu desenvolupament, s’ha aprofundit en el coneixement de l’anatomia i fisiologia de la respiració, així com en la consciència corporal per aplicar-ho a la interpretació amb el clarinet i desenvolupar unes eines per a la seva didàctica. El mètode de treball consta de tres fases: la documentació, les entrevistes i les sessions didàctiques. Tot plegat ha significat un profund aprenentatge a nivell personal.

On the artificial creation of the EL2 center by means of boron implantation in gallium arsenide

In the present work, an analysis of the dark and optical capacitance transients obtained from Schottky Au:GaAs barriers implanted with boron has been carried out by means of the isothermal transient spectroscopy (ITS) and differential and optical ITS techniques. Unlike deep level transient spectroscopy, the use of these techniques allows one to easily distinguish contributions to the transients different from those of the usual deep trap emission kinetics. The results obtained show the artificial creation of the EL2, EL6, and EL5 defects by the boron implantation process. Moreover, the interaction mechanism between the EL2 and other defects, which gives rise to the U band, has been analyzed. The existence of a reorganization process of the defects involved has been observed, which prevents the interaction as the temperature increases. The activation energy of this process has been found to be dependent on the temperature of the annealing treatment after implantation, with values of 0.51 and 0.26 eV for the as‐implanted and 400 °C annealed samples, respectively. The analysis of the optical data has corroborated the existence of such interactions involving all the observed defects that affect their optical parameters

Pair Creation of Black Holes Joined by Cosmic Strings

We argue that production of charged black hole pairs joined by a cosmic string in the presence of a magnetic field can be analyzed using the Ernst metric. The effect of the cosmic string is to pull the black holes towards each other, opposing to the background field. An estimation of the production rate using the Euclidean action shows that the process is suppressed as compared to the formation of black holes without strings.

The target audiences are departments and institutions unfamiliar with UCD but whose work is related to the definition, creation, and update of a product or service.

La improvisació musical, sota el microscopi.

UNA DE LES FORMES MÉS COMPLEXES de comportament creatiu és la improvisació musical, tan típica d'alguns estils com el jazz i el freestyle rap, però que tanmateix es pot aplicar a qualsevol estil, des de la música clàssica fins al rock'n'roll, passant per la música tradicional. Roger E. Beaty, de la Universitat de Carolina del Nord, als EUA, ha publicat un treball a Neuroscience and Biobehavioral Reviews on compara l'activitat neural durant la improvisació musical en músics de diferents estils. Els resultats indiquen que els processos mentals seguits per uns i altres no són exactament els mateixos, i que les principals diferències es troben en la predominança de control cognitiu durant la improvisació o alternativament de pensament divergent.
