Categorization of bibsonomy tags to apply privacy-preserving mechanisms.

In this technical report, we approach one of the practical aspects when it comes to represent users' interests from their tagging activity, namely the categorization of tags into high-level categories of interest. The reason is that the representation of user profiles on the basis of the myriad of tags available on the Web is certainly unfeasible from various practical perspectives; mainly concerningthe unavailability of data to reliably, accurately measure interests across such fine-grained categorization, and, should the data be available, its overwhelming computational intractability. Motivated by this, our study presents the results of a categorization process whereby a collection of tags posted at BibSonomy #http://www.bibsonomy.org# are classified into 5 categories of interest. The methodology used to conduct such categorization is in line with other works in the field.

La organització doncs, ha de vetllar per a aconseguir la millora contínua i encetar el camí de la excel.lència. Aquest projecte que presento informa de la situación actual respecte de la gestió en el Departament d’Arquitectura de Computadors tenint en compte tots els seus àmbits competencials. La finalitat és establir una estratègia orientada a resultats per tal de donar resposta a les expectatives dels seus membres i als usuaris potencials de tal forma que permeti garantir els serveis oferts.

Modification of the Perrine-Baum diagram to improve the calculation of high voltage electric lines

Through the history of Electrical Engineering education, vectorial and phasorial diagrams have been used as a fundamental learning tool. At present, computational power has replaced them by long data lists, the result of solving equation systems by means of numerical methods. In this sense, diagrams have been shifted to an academic background and although theoretically explained, they are not used in a practical way within specific examples. This fact may be against the understanding of the complex behavior of the electrical power systems by students. This article proposes a modification of the classical Perrine-Baum diagram construction to allowing both a more practical representation and a better understanding of the behavior of a high-voltage electric line under different levels of load. This modification allows, at the same time, the forecast of the obsolescence of this behavior and line’s loading capacity. Complementary, we evaluate the impact of this tool in the learning process showing comparative undergraduate results during three academic years

Hierarchical categorisation of tags for delicious

In the scenario of social bookmarking, a user browsing the Web bookmarks web pages and assigns free-text labels (i.e., tags) to them according to their personal preferences. La teoría de Morales-Ramis y el algoritmo de Kovacic

La teor\'\ı a de Morales–Ramis es la teor\'\ı a de Galois en el contextode los sistemas din\'amicos y relaciona dos tipos diferentes de integrabilidad:integrabilidad en el sentido de Liouville de un sistema hamiltonianoe integrabilidad en el sentido de la teor\'\ı a de Galois diferencial deuna ecuaci\'on diferencial. En este art\'\i culo se presentan algunas aplicacionesde la teor\'\i a de Morales–Ramis en problemas de no integrabilidadde sistemas hamiltonianos cuya ecuaci\'on variacional normal a lo largode una curva integral particular es una ecuaci\'on diferencial lineal desegundo orden con coeficientes funciones racionales. La integrabilidadde la ecuaci\'on variacional normal es analizada mediante el algoritmode Kovacic.
