O trecho bem podia ter sido assinado por Saussure, mas é de Aristóteles (Poét. 1451 a). A estrutura sistêmica compreende um conjunto de ingredientes, formais e conteudísticos, ou tout se tient. As tramas sistasicamente bem compostas, sujeitas a uma verosímil e necessária mise en intrigue, enquadram-se num todo, numa estrutura mereolôgica compacta e ordenada que tem princípio, meio e fim, e não devem começar nem terminar ao acaso. Os termos desis (complicação), metábasis (mudança de fortuna), anagnorisis (reconhecimento, e lusis (desenlace) são os operadores mereolôgicos que se encarregam de gerir a estrutura dinâmica seqüencial. «The impressions that succed one another, as the pages of the book are tumed, are to be built into a structure» (Lubbock 1972: 19). A verosimilhança e a necessidade, verdadeiros imperativos estruturais, hão-de impor a ordem. Embora hoje saibamos perfeitamente que, de acordo com a segunda lei da termodinâmica, num sistema fechado e isolado, a desordem, a entropia, deve aumentar, ou pelo menos não diminuir, à medida que o tempo passa.

The purpose of this work is to create a case to reflect about the leadership role of José Mourinho in Real Madrid CF, considering his successful background experiences in FC Porto, Chelsea FC and FC Inter. The case is based on the failure of the Special One in Real Madrid CF. This paper is mainly focused in the leadership process, charismatic leadership and contingency theory of leadership. Moreover it is intended to introduce concepts about the influence of leaders in the organizational culture, the management of human resources, and the role of a leader adapting to a different context.

The “Logoplaste: Conquering the world one bottle at a time” case is based on the real story of the Botton family and their journey to build the globally known company Logoplaste. Famous for its “hole in the wall” strategy within the plastics industry, Logoplaste is not only one of the major plastic bottles manufacturers in the world, but also a company which has been proving us that a shared leadership system can be successful within a family business. This case intendeds to demonstrate the dynamics of a family business, illustrating the complexity of the decision making process and how they have successfully mastered dual management in a family firm. Moreover, it also aims to demonstrate that a family firm can be managed in such way that sustainable growth, as a key pillar, can be enabled through a strong focus on internationalization and innovation. A teaching note is available at the end of the case in order to guide students and teachers in their readings. Discussions questions, for debate in class environment, are also provided together with suggested answers drawn together to increase the critical sense and theoretical application of the themes studied in class.
