Measuring social impact: A guideline to implement a tableau de bord

Many impact-seeking organisations cannot measure and demonstrate their social impact because they either lack technical expertise or requisite financial and human resources. This report clarifies the process of social impact measurement to help these organisations engage in social impact measurement practices. It presents a simple guideline to create a measurement approach based on the Tableau de Board. The guideline has been developed through a theoretical revision of best practices in social impact measurement, academic research and the author's individual thoughts and ideas. While a first testing of the approach revealed positive feedback, only future broad-scale testing will demonstrate the approach’s validity and feasibility.

Amadeo e Orpheu: para o desenvolvimento das relações entre Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso e a revista Orpheu

Amadeo de Souza-­‐Cardoso é commumente incluído em capítulos sobre a revista Or-­‐ pheu fundada por Fernando Pessoa e Mário de Sá-­‐Carneiro. Contudo, a integração do pintor na historiografia de Orpheu não foi revista, nem expandida. À medida que apro-­‐ fundamos a leitura de historiadores, como José-­‐Augusto França, apercebemo-­‐nos de que o papel desempenhado pelo pintor na revista se torna contraditório. Por um lado, Amadeo de Souza-­‐Cardoso é o maior representante da pintura no grupo de Orpheu (ultrapassando Guilherme de Santa-­‐Rita, que efectivamente publicou quarto hors-­‐ textes na revista modernista). Por outro lado, Amadeo vê-­‐se votado a um isolamento em Manhufe que parece dificultar o contacto com os projectos em ebulição em Lisboa. Nesta dissertação, focar-­‐se-­‐ão os mecanismos favoráveis à associação de Amadeo de Souza-­‐Cardoso ao grupo de Orpheu (o discurso de Almada) e os discursos que colocam em risco tal integração (o movimento sensacionista de Pessoa baseado em hierarquias artísticas). O projecto consolida-­‐se através da convocação das obras de Amadeo para as discus-­‐ sões literárias e pictóricas potenciadas pela revista Orpheu. Deste modo, investe-­‐se quer na reavaliação e no desenvolvimento dos estudos comparatistas anteriores, quer no distanciamento de abordagens estritamente biográficas ou documentais que podem ter bloqueado tentativas de comparação.

How to monitor and improve Unilever JM Supply Chain processes to become the best of Portugal’s sector in 2015?

Unilever Jerónimo Martins is a Portuguese joint-venture leading firm in what concerns the supply chain industry of fast-moving consumer goods in Portugal. The scope of analysis of this Work Project is focusing on Unilever-JM operations and services in the Portuguese market regarding quality, efficiency and effectiveness over B2B customers. It will be analysed the possibility of development and implementation of a performance measurement system, Tableau de Bord, which will be crucial for the identification of potential opportunities of improvement with impact in the supply chain processes. This will be completed through the establishment of KPI’s to monitor and manage periodically logistics, planning and customer service processes’ performance, which are the ones where the bottlenecks are impacting more in the supply chain. In this work project the nexus causality for the problems will also be discussed and some recommendations will be prepared to tackle the inefficiencies found through the monitoring of the previous core processes, in order to improve efficacy and quality service of the supply chain.
