This study analyses the access and use of financial services by small business owners in the cities of Mozambique, as an important tool for boosting economic growth and diminishing inequality. It correlates owners’ and business characteristics with the probability of adopting Points-of-Sale (POS), Mobile Banking and Mobile Money in everyday transactions. The main findings highlight that what mostly affects the use of POS is the size of business and the volume of transactions (positively correlated with POS adoption), while using mobile phone technologies for payments predominantly depends on the owner’s age and whether he/she is a frequent cellphone user. Moreover, to increase the use of electronic means of payment it is necessary to increase financial literacy and improve the banking services.

In Portugal mainland the Cenozoic record occurs largely in several basins. Even in the same basin, the sedimentary record shows meaningful lateral facies and thickness changes. However, the main sedimentary ruptures and overall lithologic characteristics of the infillings stades are quite similar in the same basins, as a result of the geodinamic evolution of Iberia and the Cainozoic times eustatic and climate changes. A stratigraphic framework is proposed in order to allow a less complex use of the lithostratigraphic units as referred in the geological maps and literature. Some topics for future research are suggested.

The impact of pre-analytical phase in the results is the objective of our work Knowing that, this is the most important stage in the procedure of testing in the laboratory and because the independent variables the laboratory are difficult to control because these are several limitations of both the professional and the patient, sometimes does not assign importance to that desired result are reliable. How the pre-analytical phase can interfere with the result of a research work, there is another constraint to consider the testing process to be performed in individual laboratory with certified quality, but not involved in harvesting, handing, storage and transport of the sample, important procedures that translate a good sample management in the preanalytical phase, necessary for the reliability of results of clinical research studies.

Zara was founded in 1975 by Amancio Ortega Gaona, soon becoming the largest and most successful chain of the Galician group Inditex (Industria de Diseño Textil) and a pioneer of the rising fashion category of Fast Fashion. Its innovative vertically-integrated strategies, combined with its emphasis on quality and demand-based offer have shaped the world of fashion and brought forth many questions on its future sustainability and growth. Zara has always relied on its store network for advertising its product offer; allowing its garments to “speak for themselves”. With the continued pressure felt in the industry, management has pressed some concerns about future company growth and creative, innovating solutions must be implemented to guarantee Zara’s future growth. The case-study narrative focuses on these issues and leaves readers with an open question regarding what decision to implement.
