The recent proposals presented by EPA aimed to reduce the dependency of fossil fuels and to lower current emissions levels, hoping to gradually shift electric generation units to renewable energy sources. Actually, the Final Rule Proposal announcement day exhibited a negative Abnormal Return on Fossil Fuels but the following days had positive Abnormal Returns, mostly due to legislative change perceived by financial markets which eased up implementation periods of the proposed measures in the Final Rule when compared to the Draft Rule. Oppositely, Renewables and Solar Portfolios exhibited negative Cumulative Abnormal Returns over the period surrounding the Final Rule.

The paleontological richness of Morocco has been scientifically known since at least the early 20th century. The region of the Middle Atlas, more specifically the Boulemane area, has been however only sparsely studied since the 60’s when it supplied various vertebrate fossils from the Middle Jurassic.In the beginning of the 2000’s some fossil bones were discovered in a new fossil-site near the village of Taghrout, in the Boulemane area and in September 2013 a Moroccan-Portuguese expedition made excavations in the site with the help locals from the village of Taghrout. The site is Pleistocene in age and is located on a rare bone bearing small high-altitude sedimentary basin, non-charted in previous geological maps. The excavations yielded new bone material from large mammals. The most common findings are elephants ascribed to the genus Elephas, but artiodactyls, turtles, and in-situ hominid Acheulean tools were also collected. During the excavation campaign the Jurassic sites were revisited and new dinosaur trails and possible crocodilomorph bones were discovered. Surface collection of in a cave near Taghrout with Holocene mammal material, including the genera Canis, Capra, Bos, Panthera and Hystrix was also conducted and its fossils elements identified.

Crocodylomorph eggs are relatively poorly known in the fossil record when compared with skeletal remains, which are found all over the world, or when compared with dinosaur eggs. Herein are described crocodiloid eggshells from the Upper Jurassic Lourinhã Formation of Portugal, recovered from five sites: Cambelas (clutch), Casal da Rola, Peralta (eggshell fragments), and Paimogo North and South (three partial crushed eggs and eggshell fragments). The clutch of Cambelas, composed of 13 eggs, is the only sample not found in association with dinosaur eggshells. Morphological characters of the eggshells described herein, such as shell units and microstructure, are consistent with the crocodiloid morphotype. As such, this material is assigned to the oofamily Krokolithidae, making them the oldest known crocodylomorph eggs so far and the best record for eggs of non-crocodylian crocodylomorphs. Two new ootaxa are erected, Suchoolithus portucalensis oogen. et oosp. nov, for the clutch of Cambelas, and Krokolithes dinophilus, oosp. nov., for the remaining eggshells. The basic structure of crocodilian eggshells has remained stable since at least the Late Jurassic. Additionally, the findings suggest previously unknown biological associations with contemporary archosaurs, shedding light on the poorly understood egg morphology, reproduction strategies and paleobiology of crocodylomorphs during the Late Jurassic.
