Given the significant impact that cultural events may have in local communities and the inherent organization complexity, it is important to understand their specificities. Most of the times cultural events disregard marketing and often marketing is distant from art. Thus an analysis of an inside perspective might bring significant returns to the organization of such an event. This paper considers the three editions (2011, 2012 and 2013) of a cultural event – Noc Noc – organized by a local association in the city of Guimarães, Portugal. Its format is based in analogous events, as Noc Noc intends to convert everyday spaces (homes, commercial outlets and a number of other buildings) into cultural spaces, processed and transformed by artists, hosts and audiences. By interviewing a sample of people (20) who have hosted this cultural event, sometimes doubling as artists, and by experiencing the three editions of the event, this paper illustrates how the internal public understands this particular cultural event, analyzing specifically their motivations, ways of acting and participating, as well as their relationship with the public, with the organization of the event and with art in general. Results support that artists and hosts motivations must be identified in a timely and appropriate moment, as well as their views of this particular cultural event, in order to keep them participating, since low budget cultural events such as this one may have a key role in small scale cities.

The world is increasingly in a global community. The rapid technological development of communication and information technologies allows the transmission of knowledge in real-time. In this context, it is imperative that the most developed countries are able to develop their own strategies to stimulate the industrial sector to keep up-to-date and being competitive in a dynamic and volatile global market so as to maintain its competitive capacities and by consequence, permits the maintenance of a pacific social state to meet the human and social needs of the nation. The path traced of competitiveness through technological differentiation in industrialization allows a wider and innovative field of research. Already we are facing a new phase of organization and industrial technology that begins to change the way we relate with the industry, society and the human interaction in the world of work in current standards. This Thesis, develop an analysis of Industrie 4.0 Framework, Challenges and Perspectives. Also, an analysis of German reality in facing to approach the future challenge in this theme, the competition expected to win in future global markets, points of domestic concerns felt in its industrial fabric household face this challenge and proposes recommendations for a more effective implementation of its own strategy. The methods of research consisted of a comprehensive review and strategically analysis of existing global literature on the topic, either directly or indirectly, in parallel with the analysis of questionnaires and data analysis performed by entities representing the industry at national and world global placement. The results found by this multilevel analysis, allowed concluding that this is a theme that is only in the beginning for construction the platform to engage the future Internet of Things in the industrial environment Industrie 4.0. This dissertation allows stimulate the need of achievements of more strategically and operational approach within the society itself as a whole to clarify the existing weaknesses in this area, so that the National Strategy can be implemented with effective approaches and planned actions for a direct training plan in a more efficiently path in education for the theme.

The aims of this study were (1) to analyse the influence of cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) and parental overweight status (POS) and socioeconomic status (SES) on abdominal obesity. This study was comprised of 779 adolescents (12-18 years). Waist-height ratio (WHtR), 20 m shuttle-run test to ascertain CRF, POS according to World Health Organization recommendations and SES of parents using level of education were analysed. Using WHtR, the prevalence of abdominal obesity was 21.3% (23.5% girls and 17.9% boys; p = 0.062). Regardless of gender, participants who belonged to the WHtR risk group had significantly (p ≤ 0.05) lower CRF scores than the WHtR non-risk group; 84.4% of girls who belonged to the WHtR risk group had one or two overweight parents (p ≤ 0.05). Boys with low CRF (OR: 6.43; CI: 3.33-12.39) were more likely to belong to the WHtR risk group compared with their lean peers. Girls with low CRF (OR: 1.78; CI: 1.14-2.78) and with at least one overweight parent (OR: 2.50; CI: 1.07-5.85) or two overweight parents (OR: 4.90; CI: 2.08-11.54) were associated with the risk of abdominal obesity. This study highlights the influence of adolescents' family on abdominal obesity, especially in girls. Further, the data suggested that low CRF was a strong predictor of risk values of abdominal obesity in adolescence.

The aims of this study were as follows: (1) to analyze differences in cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF), parents' body mass index (BMI) and birth weight (BW) between non-overweight (NOW) and overweight/obese (OV/OB) adolescents, and (2) to investigate the association of those variables with the risk of their biological offspring being OV/OB. This study comprised 788 adolescents (477 girls and 311 boys), aged between 12 and 18 years. CRF was predicted by maximal multistage 20-m shuttle-run test according to the procedures described in FITNESSGRAM. Children's BMI was classified according to the International Obesity Task Force. Adolescents' BW was assessed from each child's pediatric record at birth. Parents' OV/OB status was defined and classified according to the World Health Organization. Socioeconomic status was defined by parental education. The prevalence OV/OB was 21.4 and 5.3%, respectively, and there were no gender differences. A presente dissertação/trabalho de projeto pretende ser um contributo para uma abordagem científica de um problema que nos últimos anos ganhou dimensão e contornos diferentes, tornando-se um dos polos das preocupações dos professores, chegando mesmo a extravasar a escola, alargando-se aos variados setores da sociedade. O estudo teve como objetivo geral conhecer as representações dos vários atores educativos sobre a indisciplina na sala de aula, e no ambiente escolar, do 3º ciclo na escola em estudo. Ao analisar as relações interpessoais, pretende-se também compreender a relação entre os comportamentos de disciplina e as práticas pedagógicas dos professores. O planeamento da investigação foi feito de acordo com os conceitos e perspetivas recolhidas de autores de referência, com os documentos legais e enquadradores do problema e com as pesquisas já realizadas neste domínio. Optou-se por uma metodologia com um tratamento misto de natureza quantitativa/qualitativa desenvolvida através do método de estudo de caso. A pesquisa realizou-se por meio de inquéritos por questionário aos professores que lecionam o 3º ciclo, percecionando- se através das relações entre as variáveis um quadro da realidade da escola em estudo. Privilegiou-se igualmente a compreensão dos comportamentos tidos como indisciplinados, partindo da própria perceção dos sujeitos envolvidos, através das entrevistas semi-diretivas aos diretores de turma do 3º ciclo, coordenador dos assistentes operacionais, presidente da associação de pais e à diretora da escola. O estudo realizado permite reconhecer as dificuldades na relação pedagógica professor/aluno; o desrespeito pela autoridade do professor; a ineficácia das medidas preventivas; a ineficiência das medidas sancionatórias aplicadas; ausência da autoridade paternal; bem como a falta de estratégias convergentes por parte dos professores no controlo das causas da indisciplina. O estudo termina com a elaboração de um plano operacional de intervenção que tem como finalidade diminuir a indisciplina na sala de aula na escola X.
