Relatório EPE - Relatório de estágio em Educação Pré-Escolar: O presente relatório de estágio emerge da prática pedagógica supervisionada na educação de infância inserida no curso de mestrado de educação pré-escolar e ensino do primeiro ciclo do ensino básico. Esta foi desenvolvida no jardim de infância da Escola Básica de Monte Aventino que integra o Agrupamento de Escolas António Nobre. O estágio formativo efetuado teve como principal intenção o desenvolvimento de competências profissionais associadas à capacidade de reflexão sistemática antes, durante e pós-ação tendo em vista o desenvolvimento de uma ação educativa baseada na investigação de práticas e na co-construção de saberes profissionais. No sentido de alcançar as competências estabelecidas e de direcionar a prática educativa para os interesses e necessidades das crianças foram exercidas várias etapas cíclicas do processo educativo como a observação, planificação, reflexão e avaliação. Deste modo a metodologia eleita para o exercício deste ciclo espiral assentou na investigação-ação uma vez que esta permite indagar sobre as práticas desenvolvidas tendo em vista a sua reestruturação voltada para as carências demonstradas. Como estratégia de formação, esta metodologia também possui grandes potencialidades sendo que foram igualmente utilizados procedimentos como reflexões individuais, narrativas colaborativas e guiões de observação orientados para o favorecimento da investigação individual e colaborativa das práticas exercidas em díade e tríade de formação. O desenvolvimento das diversas ações referidas conduziu ao alcance das competências enunciadas que confluíram na formação do perfil profissional da mestranda capaz de criar um integrado do currículo, recorrer ao exercício das etapas do processo educativo assim como à organização do ambiente educativo.

Purpose – The aim of this article is to present some results from research undertaken into the information behaviour of European Documentation Centre (EDC) users. It will reflect on the practices of a group of 234 users of 55 EDCs covering 21 Member States of the European Union (EU), used to access European information. Design/methodology/approach – In order to collect the data presented here, five questionnaires were sent to users in all the EDCs in Finland, Ireland, Hungary and Portugal. In the remaining EU countries, five questionnaires were sent to two EDCs chosen at random. The questionnaires were sent by post, following telephone contact with the EDC managers. Findings – Factors determining access to information on the European Union and the frequency of this access are identified. The information providers most commonly used to access European information and the information sources considered the most reliable by respondents will also be analysed. Another area of analysis concerns the factors cited by respondents as facilitating access to information on Europe or, conversely, making it more difficult to access. Parallel to this, the aspects of accessing information on EU that are valued most by users will also be assessed. Research limitations/implications – Questionnaires had to be used, as the intention was to cover a very extensive geographical area. However, in opting for closed questions, it is acknowledged that standard responses have been obtained with no scope for capturing the individual circumstances of each respondent, thus making a qualitative approach difficult. Practical implications – The results provide an overall picture of certain aspects of the information behaviour of EDC users. They may serve as a starting point for planning training sessions designed to develop the skills required to search, access, evaluate and apply European information within an academic context. From a broader perspective, they also constitute factors which the European Commission should take into consideration when formulating its information and communication policy. Originality/value – This is the first piece of academic research into the EDCs and their users, which aimed to cover all Members State of the EU.

This study deals with the problem of how to collect genuine and useful data about science classroom practices, and preserving the complex and holistic nature of teaching and learning. Additionally, we were looking for an instrument that would allow comparability and verifiability for teaching and research purposes. Given the multimodality of teaching and learning processes, we developed the multimodal narrative (MN), which describes what happens during a task and incorporates data such as examples of students’ work.

This paper examines the relationship between the level of satisfaction towards Human Resources Management practices among repatriates and the decision to remain on the home company after expatriation. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews of 28 Portuguese repatriates who remain and 16 organisational representatives from eight companies located in Portugal. The results show that (1) compensation system during the international assignment; (2) permanent support during the international assignment and; (3) recognition upon the return of the work and effort of expatriates during the international assignment are the most important HRM practices for promoting satisfaction among repatriates. Moreover, it is at repatriation phase that repatriates show higher dissatisfaction with HRM support. These findings will be discussed in detail and implications and suggestions for future research will be proposed as well.

The concept of HRM perceptions is a growing interest in the literature, as one of the antecedents of HRM outcomes. Regardless, not only the cognitive aspect of perception is interesting in this field (what you think) but also the affective perspective is of interest (how you feel about it). In this study we propose a scale for assessing satisfaction with the perceptions of the HRM practices. A 24 item Likert-type scale was developed considering literature review, to assess subjects’ satisfaction with Human Resources Practices in a healthcare setting. Talked reflections were held and a survey encompassing all workers from a Hospital was conducted later, with a sample of 922 subjects. Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis were performed; reliability was tested using Cronbach’s alpha. The scale presents good psychometric properties with alpha values that range from .71 to .91. Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis demonstrated that the scale presents a very good fit with CFI= 0.94, AGFI= 0.88, and RMSEA= 0.07. The present study represents a first approach in the usage of this scale and despite having a large sample, respondents originate from a single institution. This study presents a pertinent scale towards measuring a seldom explored construct of the worker-organization relationship. The scale is parsimonious and results are promising. There seems to be very little research on how subjects feel about the HRM practices. This construct, very much in line with more recent studies concerning worker perceptions can be especially interesting in the context of the worker-organization relationship.
