ARTISTA RIZOMA – O LUGAR DO ARTISTA, COMO PROFESSOR E INVESTIGADOR NO ENSINO SUPERIOR

Este trabalho é apoiado em entrevistas/conversas sobre o lugar do artista como investigador no ensino superior, usando o exemplo português e o tratado de Bolonha para compreender as transformações contemporâneas da inscrição da arte na investigação e no ensino superior.

El campo ampliado de la ilustración en contemporaneidad. Breves consideraciones a partir de la experiência en la enseñanza superior

In this paper, we return once again to the definition of illustration, combining the contributions of visual arts and graphic design. Contributing to the discussion in an open and speculative. We analyze the subject based on the theory, but also on the observed practice in contemporary times. We cross references with the higher education lecturing in the master in Illustration and Animation at Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e Ave, while giving a broad picture of illustration practice in Portugal.

Comissão de fiscalização e disciplina do sindicato nacional do ensino superior (CFD/SNESup): quem somos, o que temos feito e para que serve?

A Comissão de Fiscalização e Disciplina, como o próprio nome indica, serve para fiscalizar e disciplinar, no caso de necessidade, adequação, proporcionalidade, sempre com uma intervenção mínima. De acordo com o art. 8º/6 dos Estatutos do SNESup cabe à CFD declarar a perda ou suspensão compulsiva da qualidade de associado na sequência de processo disciplinar, em virtude de incumprimento grave dos respectivos deveres. Abstract: The Audit and Discipline, as its name implies, is to supervise and regulate, in case of necessity, appropriateness, proportionality, always with minimal intervention. According to art. 8/6 of the Statute SNESup it is for the CFD to confiscate or forced suspension of membership in the disciplinary procedure, due to a serious breach of his duties.

As práticas de auditoria interna nas Instituições Públicas de Ensino Superior portuguesas

Este artigo visa analisar as práticas de auditoria interna (AI) nas Instituições Públicas de Ensino Superior (IPES). A metodologia utilizada para desenvolver este trabalho foi o inquérito por questionário, submetido on-line, às IPES portuguesas. Como resultado foi obtida uma taxa de resposta de 43%. Com este estudo concluímos que a maioria das IPES não tem departamento de AI, nem sabe quando o poderá ter. Nos politécnicos, ao contrário das universidades, a existência de um departamento de AI está relacionada com a dimensão da instituição. De facto, com este projeto verificámos que ainda existe um longo percurso a percorrer para que as IPES e os seus órgãos de gestão estejam sensibilizados para a importância da AI. Assim, esperamos que com o presente artigo tenhamos contribuído para enriquecer um pouco mais a literatura académica, apresentar a importância da AI e os benefícios associados a esta para que possa despertar o interesse para a sua implementação.

Robust temporal alignment of multimodal cardiac sequences

Given the dynamic nature of cardiac function, correct temporal alignment of pre-operative models and intraoperative images is crucial for augmented reality in cardiac image-guided interventions. As such, the current study focuses on the development of an image-based strategy for temporal alignment of multimodal cardiac imaging sequences, such as cine Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or 3D Ultrasound (US). First, we derive a robust, modality-independent signal from the image sequences, estimated by computing the normalized crosscorrelation between each frame in the temporal sequence and the end-diastolic frame. This signal is a resembler for the left-ventricle (LV) volume curve over time, whose variation indicates di erent temporal landmarks of the cardiac cycle. We then perform the temporal alignment of these surrogate signals derived from MRI and US sequences of the same patient through Dynamic Time Warping (DTW), allowing to synchronize both sequences. The proposed framework was evaluated in 98 patients, which have undergone both 3D+t MRI and US scans. The end-systolic frame could be accurately estimated as the minimum of the image-derived surrogate signal, presenting a relative error of 1:6 1:9% and 4:0 4:2% for the MRI and US sequences, respectively, thus supporting its association with key temporal instants of the cardiac cycle. The use of DTW reduces the desynchronization of the cardiac events in MRI and US sequences, allowing to temporally align multimodal cardiac imaging sequences. Overall, a generic, fast and accurate method for temporal synchronization of MRI and US sequences of the same patient was introduced. This approach could be straightforwardly used for the correct temporal alignment of pre-operative MRI information and intra-operative US images.
