User requirements of multimedia authentication are various. In some cases, the user requires an authentication system to monitor a set of specific areas with respective sensitivity while neglecting other modification. Most current existing fragile watermarking schemes are mixed systems, which can not satisfy accurate user requirements. Therefore, in this paper we designed a sensor-based multimedia authentication architecture. This system consists of sensor combinations and a fuzzy response logic system. A sensor is designed to strictly respond to given area tampering of a certain type. With this scheme, any complicated authentication requirement can be satisfied, and many problems such as error tolerant tamper method detection will be easily resolved. We also provided experiments to demonstrate the implementation of the sensor-based system

Mussorgsky's Sunless cycle is aesthetically and stylistically an anomalous member of his oeuvre. Its notably effaced, pared-down, and withdrawn qualities present challenges to critical interpretation. Its uniqueness, however, renders it a crucial work for furnishing the fullest possible picture of Mussorgsky as a creative artist. The author of its texts, Golenishchev-Kutuzov (whose relationship with Mussorgsky at the time of its writing possibly extended beyond the platonic) has been identified by recent scholarship as an essential eye-witness for those to whom Stasov's populist characterization of the composer does not ring entirely true. Golenishchev-Kutuzov believed that in Sunless Mussorgsky first revealed his authentic artistic self. According to Golenishchev-Kutuvoz, Mussorgsky regarded his signal achievement in Sunless to have been the eradication of all elements other than feeling. In other words, he had thrown off the stylistic shackles imposed by the aesthetics of realism and relied entirely on intuitive harmonic invention as the sole conveyor of a purely subjective, affective meaning in the cycle. This hypothesis forms the point of departure for an investigation of select numbers of the cycle. Analysis reveals that the affective aspect is riot the only significant element operative. Alongside remnants of the realist style, there is evidence, of varying degrees of subtlety, for a knowing use of symmetrical pitch organization. Mussorgsky not only adapted the usual referential attachments of symmetrically based chromaticism-typically found in Russian operas of the second half of the nineteenth century-he also, through extremely simple but effective means, synthesized the intuitive harmonic and rational symmetrical elements of the cycle's pitch organization so that the latter emerges seamlessly out of the former. This remarkable synthesis ensures the cycle's uniformity of tone while also allowing for a reading that extends beyond the generally affective to the symbolically more specific. This symbolic level of reading offers several interpretative possibilities, one of which may refer even to the relationship of the poet and the composer. Irrespective of such potentials for interpretation, the most significant achievement in the cycle remains the synthesis of the intuitive/affective and rational/symbolic elements of its organization. Songs 1, 2, 3, and 6 of the cycle are considered in detail.

Two-dimensional (2-D) strain (epsilon(2-D)) on the basis of speckle tracking is a new technique for strain measurement. This study sought to validate epsilon(2-D) and tissue velocity imaging (TVI)based strain (epsilon(TVI)) with tagged harmonic-phase (HARP) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Thirty patients (mean age. 62 +/- 11 years) with known or suspected ischemic heart disease were evaluated. Wall motion (wall motion score index 1.55 +/- 0.46) was assessed by an expert observer. Three apical images were obtained for longitudinal strain (16 segments) and 3 short-axis images for radial and circumferential strain (18 segments). Radial epsilon(TVI) was obtained in the posterior wall. HARP MRI was used to measure principal strain, expressed as maximal length change in each direction. Values for epsilon(2-D), epsilon(TVI), and HARP MRI were comparable for all 3 strain directions and were reduced in dysfunctional segments. The mean difference and correlation between longitudinal epsilon(2-D) and HARP MRI (2.1 +/- 5.5%, r = 0.51, p < 0.001) were similar to those between longitudinal epsilon(TVI), and HARP MRI (1.1 +/- 6.7%, r = 0.40, p < 0.001). The mean difference and correlation were more favorable between radial epsilon(2-D) and HARP MRI (0.4 +/- 10.2%, r = 0.60, p < 0.001) than between radial epsilon(TVI), and HARP MRI (3.4 +/- 10.5%, r = 0.47, p < 0.001). For circumferential strain, the mean difference and correlation between epsilon(2-D) and HARP MRI were 0.7 +/- 5.4% and r = 0.51 (p < 0.001), respectively. In conclusion, the modest correlations of echocardiographic and HARP MRI strain reflect the technical challenges of the 2 techniques. Nonetheless, epsilon(2-D) provides a reliable tool to quantify regional function, with radial measurements being more accurate and feasible than with TVI. In recent years, acoustic perturbation measurement has gained clinical and research popularity due to the ease of availability of commercial acoustic analysing software packages in the market. However, because the measurement itself depends critically on the accuracy of frequency tracking from the voice signal, researchers argue that perturbation measures are not suitable for analysing dysphonic voice samples, which are aperiodic in nature. This study compares the fundamental frequency, relative amplitude perturbation, shimmer percent and noise-to-harmonic ratio between a group of dysphonic and non-dysphonic subjects. One hundred and twelve dysphonic subjects ( 93 females and 19 males) and 41 non-dysphonic subjects ( 35 females and 6 males) participated in the study. All the 153 voice samples were categorized into type I ( periodic or nearly periodic), type II ( signals with subharmonic frequencies that approach the fundamental frequency) and type III ( aperiodic) signals. Only the type I ( periodic and nearly periodic) voice signals were acoustically analysed for perturbation measures. Results revealed that the dysphonic female group presented significantly lower fundamental frequency, significantly higher relative amplitude perturbation and shimmer percent values than the non-dysphonic female group. However, none of these three perturbation measures were able to differentiate between male dysphonic and male non-dysphonic subjects. The noise-to-harmonic ratio failed to differentiate between the dysphonic and non-dysphonic voices for both gender groups. These results question the sensitivity of acoustic perturbation measures in detecting dysphonia and suggest that contemporary acoustic perturbation measures are not suitable for analysing dysphonic voice signals, which are even nearly periodic. Eight phenolic acids and two abscisic acid isomers in Australian honeys from five botanical species (Melaleuca, Guioa, Lophostemon, Banksia and Helianthus) have been analyzed in relation to their botanical origins. Total phenolic acids present in these honeys range from 2.13 mg/100 g sunflower (Helianthus annuus) honey to 12.11 mg/100 g tea tree (Melaleuca quinquenervia) honey, with amounts of individual acids being various. Tea tree honey shows a phenolic profile of gallic, ellagic, chlorogenic and coumaric acids, which is similar to the phenolic profile of an Australian Eucalyptus honey (bloodwood or Eucalyptus intermedia honey). The main difference between tea tree and bloodwood honeys is the contribution of chlorogenic acid to their total phenolic profiles. In Australian crow ash (Guioa semiglauca) honey, a characteristic phenolic profile mainly consisting of gallic acid and abscisic acid could be used as the floral marker. In brush box (Lophostemon conferta) honey, the phenolic profile, comprising mainly gallic acid and ellagic acid, could be used to differentiate this honey not only from the other Australian non-Eucalyptus honeys but also from a Eucalyptus honey (yellow box or Eucalyptus melliodora honey). However, this Eucalyptus honey could not be differentiated from brush box honey based only on their flavonoid profiles. Similarly, the phenolic profile of heath (Banksia ericifolia) honey, comprising mainly gallic acid, an unknown phenolic acid (Phl) and coumaric acid, could also be used to differentiate this honey from tea tree and bloodwood honeys, which have similar flavonoid profiles. Coumaric acid is a principal phenolic acid in Australian sunflower honey and it could thus be used together with gallic acid for the authentication. These results show that the HPLC analysis of phenolic acids and abscisic acids in Australian floral honeys Could assist the differentiation and authentication of the honeys. © 2005 Elsevier Ltd. Security protocols preserve essential properties, such as confidentiality and authentication, of electronically transmitted data. However, such properties cannot be directly expressed or verified in contemporary formal methods. Via a detailed example, we describe the phases needed to formalise and verify the correctness of a security protocol in the state-oriented Z formalism.
