The circulant graph Sn, where S ⊆ Zn \ {0}, has vertex set Zn and edge set {{x, x + s}|x ∈ Zn, s ∈ S}. It is shown that there is a Hamilton cycle decomposition of every 6-regular circulant graph Sn in which S has an element of order n.

Objective: To examine the methods used by a sample of regular ecstasy users to determine the content and purity of ecstasy pills, their knowledge of the limitations of available pill testing methods, and how pill test results would influence their drug use behaviour. Method: Data were collected from regular ecstasy users (n = 810) recruited from all eight capital cities of Australia. Data were analysed using multiple logistic regression and chi-square (chi(2)) tests of association. Open-ended responses were coded for themes. Results: The majority of the sample(84%) reported attempting to find out the content and purity of ecstasy at least some of the time, most commonly asking friends or dealers. Less than one quarter (22%) reported personal use of testing kits. There was a moderate level of awareness of the limitations of testing kits among those who reported having used them. Over half (57%) of those reporting personal use of testing kits reported that they would not take a pill if test results indicated that it contained ketamine and over three quarters (76%) reported that they would not take an "unknown" pill (producing no reaction in a reagent test). Finally, a considerable majority (63%) expressed interest in pill testing should it be more widely available. Conclusions: The majority of regular ecstasy users sampled in this Australian study report previous attempts to determine the content and purity of pills sold as ecstasy. Although only a small proportion have used testing kits, many report that they would do so if they were more widely available. The results of pill tests may influence drug use if they indicate that pills contain substances which ecstasy users do not want to ingest or are of unknown content. More detailed research examining ways in which pill testing may influence drug use is required to inform evidence-based policy. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Half of all cancers in the United States are skin cancers. We have previously shown in a 4.5-year randomized controlled trial in an Australian community that squamous cell carcinomas (SCC) but not basal cell carcinomas (BCC) can be prevented by regular sunscreen application to the head, neck, hands, and forearms. Since cessation of the trial, we have followed participants for a further 8 years to evaluate possible latency of preventive effect on BCCs and SCCs. After prolonged follow-up, BCC tumor rates tended to decrease but not significantly in people formerly randomized to daily sunscreen use compared with those not applying sunscreen daily. By contrast, corresponding SCC tumor rates were significantly decreased by almost 40% during the entire follow-up period (rate ratio, 0.62; 95% confidence interval, 0.38-0.99). Regular application of sunscreen has prolonged preventive effects on SCC but with no clear benefit in reducing BCC.

The design, development, and testing of an X-band 137-element passive reflect away capable of incorporating active devices such as transistor amplifiers is presented. In order to avoid grating lobes in the radiation pattern, the interelement spacing is minimized using dual-feed aperture-coupled patch antenna elements. Far-field radiation pattern results are presented and compared with the predicted radiation patterns. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

The design of an antenna that combines a radial line slot array and a circular patch to operate as a dual band (2.4/5.2 GHz) antenna at the access point of a WLAN is presented. The design has been accomplished using commercially available Ansoft HFSS and in-house developed software. The designed antenna shows good performance in terms of return losses, radiation pattern and circular polarization in the two, 2.4 and 5.2 GHz, frequency bands. Due to its good electrical performance and a relatively low profile and low developmental cost, it should be found attractive for use as an access point antenna for dual band operation.

In this work, a new design concept in chest imaging for MRI application is presented. A focused, 8-element transceive torso phased array coil is designed to investigate transmitting focused B1 field deep within the torso to enhance signal intensity and use in conjunction with SENSE reconstruction technique. Hybrid FDTD/MOM method is used to accurately predict the RF behavior inside the human torso. The simulation results reported herein demonstrate the feasibility of the design concept which shows that B1 field focusing with SENSE reconstruction is achievable, and the 8-element transceive torso phased array coil has the advantage to be used in transmit and receive mode for optimum and fast chest imaging.
