Executive order no. 2016-25

This executive order by Governor Nikki R. Haley declares that a continued emergency exists to suspend the federal rules and regulations that restrict certain registration, permitting, length, width, weight, load, and hours of service requirements as set forth below in order to ensure the delivery of gasoline and other fuels as well as the efficient use of gasoline for delivery of any item, further directing the South Carolina Department of Transportation and the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, and the State Transport Police as needed, to comply with this Order.

Executive order no. 2016-44

This executive order by Governor Nikki R. Haley determines that an emergency exists in the State South Carolina for the limited purpose of complying with the declaration of emergency in the State of Georgia and hereby suspend of Part 395 (drivers' hours of service) of Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations. She further directs the South Carolina Department of Transportation and the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, and the State Transport Police as needed, to suspend the federal rules and regulations that limit the hours operators of commercial vehicles may drive, in order to ensure the uninterrupted supply of equipment, goods, services, and any other item needing to be moved on the highways of the States of Georgia and South Carolina.

SC revenue ruling #16-1

After several inquiries from the trucking industry, the Department of Revenue established the conversion factors for compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas in August, 2014. This advisory opinion now represents the Department’s official position concerning these conversion factors. The Department also recently established the conversion factor for liquefied propane gas. Preliminary report, Student Achievement and Vision Education (SAVE) proviso 55.5

During the 117th General Assembly of South Carolina, the Commission for Minority Affairs introduced the Student Achievement and Vision Education (SAVE) Proviso. The Proviso was so named to emphasize the importance of addressing student achievement by closing the gap that exists between majority and minority student performance and visioning students toward educational success through the implementation of the Education and Economic Development Act. This report documents the progress to date on the study; the impact of budget cuts on the CMA and complying agencies; the CMA's ability to complete the comprehensive study document using most current information; and the need for further study beyond February 2009.

Retail Food Establishments: Guide to HACCP Plans

A Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system is a plan to reduce the risk of safety hazards in food. The HACCP System identifies potential biological, chemical and physical hazards from the time the food enters the facility to when it is served. The Hazard Analysis identifies critical control points based on the ingredients, raw materials and processes. Control measures are then identified, implemented and monitored to ensure the ongoing safety of the finished products.
