Grateloupia lanceola (Cryptonemiales, Rhodophyta) en las costas de la Península Ibérica: Estudio morfológico y anatómico

Grateloupia lanceola (J. Agardh) J. Agardh emend Ardré & Gayral es citada por primera vez para las costas noratlánticas y mediterráneas españolas. Su estudio morfológico, anatómico y ecológico aporta nuevos datos que permiten discutir la posición sistemática y taxonomía de esta especie, así como su distribución geográfica.

Notas sobre la vegetación bentónica del litoral de la Península Ibérica. II. Ulva rigida C. Agardh var. fimbriata J. Agardh. en las costas españolas: su variabilidad morfológica y anatómica

Se comenta en esta nota el hallazgo en las costas españolas de Ulva rigida var. fimbriata, ofreciéndose nuevos datos sobre su morfología y caracteres anatómicos, así como su distribución geográfica.

Diversity of functional groups in the vegetation sandy seashore of the Grande, Anclitas and Caguamas Cays (Jardines de la Reina Archipelago, Cuba)

Sandy shores are known to be extreme ecosystems where the vegetation has evolved many morphological and physiological adaptations for its survival. With the aim of identify possible relationships between the vegetation´s functional diversity with abiotic factors and its corresponding quantification, we collected data on the abundance and richness of the sandy coast vegetation complex in Grande, Anclitas and Caguamas keys. Its flora is largely characterized by the dominance of hemicryptophytes and chamaephytes plants with nanophyllous leaves and displaying dispersal syndromes such as zoochory and anemochory. However, the functional groups´ richness, in the present study, varies from one key to another. Functional diversity is similar between the wet and dry seasons, and its spatial variation is influenced by the interplay of the set of abiotic factors herein studied.

Contribución al conocimiento algológico del litoral levantino (España, Mediterráneo) III

Se cita la presencia de 28 taxones de algas marinas interesantes procedentes del litoral levantino (Espafla, Mediterráneo occidental). Veinticuatro constituyen nuevas citas para dicho tramo del litoral mediterráneo peninsular. Destaca la presencia de Peyssonnella codana, primera cita para las costas mediterráneas españolas; Peyssonnelia magna, Metapeyssonnelia feldmannii, Ceramium fastigiatum var. flaccida, y Cystoseria sauvageauana var. polyoedematis.

Brassica oleracea L. distribution and ecology in the Iberian atlantic coasts

The distribution and ecology of Brassica oleracea in the atlantic coasts of Iberian Peninsule are studied. A new association or nitrified maritime cliffs is described: Crithmo-Brassicetum oleraceae. This community has been included in the Alliance Crithmo-Armerion due to the high presence of halophitic species.

6. Consideraciones nomenclaturales y sistemáticas en el orden "Ammophiletalia" Br.-BI. 1933

La primera propuesta de sistematización fitosociológica, a nivel de alianza, de las comunidades vegetales de las dunas litorales de las costas europeas, fue la de Braun-Blanquet (Jahrb. St. Gallischen Naturwiss. Ges. 57(2): 346. 1921); allí se describe la alianza Ammophilion para incluir dos asociaciones: “Ammophila-Medicago mnarina-Assoziation” y “Crucianelletum”. La primera es el holotipo de la alianza (CEN, Art. 18), puesto que la segunda no fue válidamente publicada (CPN, Art. 7). Posteriormente el mismo autor (Braun-Blanquet, Prodr. Groupements Vég. 1: 5. 1933) describe el orden Ammophiletalia para incluir las alianzas Ammophilion (holotipo del orden) y Ononidion angustissimae all. prov.

New wild Brassica oleracea L. germplasm at its western distribution limit in the Iberian Peninsula

An exploration and collection mission for wild Brassica oleracea populations was carried out in spring and summer of 2013. The aim of this collection was to expand the number of accessions of wild Brassica oleracea available for basic and applied research in plant breeding. In this paper we report a new accession of wild Brassica oleracea in an unexplored coastal area of Galicia, NW Iberian Peninsula. Details of population ecology and vegetation, soil, climate and geographic data were recorded for this population. The “Endangered” threat category for the region is proposed, and actions for in situ and ex situ conservation are proposed. Seeds will be added to the germplasm collections of University of Santiago de Compostela and Misión Biológica de Galicia (CSIC) for further research on diverse aspects of the dynamics and ecophysiology of the population along with characterization and evaluation of useful traits.

La ruptura de una economía moral y las deslegitimación de las deudas hipotecarias

In Spain, during the recent housing bubble, purchasing a home seemed the most advantageous strategy to access housing, and there was a wide social consensus about the unavoidability of mortgage indebtedness. However, such consensus has been challenged by the financial and real-estate crisis. The victims of home repossessions have been affected by the transgression of several principles, such as the fair compensation for effort and sacrifice, the prioritisation of basic needs over financial commitments, the possibility of a second chance for over-indebted people, or the State's responsibility to guarantee its citizens' livelihood. Such principles may be understood as part of a moral economy, and their transgression has resulted in the emergence of a social movement, the Plataforma de Afectados por la Hipoteca (PAH), that is questioning the legitimacy of mortgage debts. The article reflects on the extent to which the perception of over-indebtedness and evictions as unfair situations can have an effect on the reproduction of the political-economic system, insofar the latter is perceived as able or unable to repair injustice.
