This layer is a georeferenced raster image of the historic paper map entitled: Carte de la Tartarie Orientale : pour servir a l'Histoire générale des voyages, tirée des cartes levées par les PP. Jesuites. It was published by Pierre de Hondt in 1750. Scale [ca. 1:8,000,000]. Covers a portion of Northeast China and Eastern Siberia and Sakhalin, Russia. Map in French. The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to the Asia North Lambert Conformal Conic coordinate system. All map collar and inset information is also available as part of the raster image, including any inset maps, profiles, statistical tables, directories, text, illustrations, index maps, legends, or other information associated with the principal map. This map shows features such as drainage, cities and other human settlements, shoreline features, the Great Wall of China, and more. Relief shown pictorially.
