Octavo pamphlet with sporadic annotations including occasional notes of residence, notes of graduates who became physicians, and asterisks next to the names of some alumni who died after the Catalogue's publication, generally between 1777 and 1782, but also including additions added in the early 1800s. Most heavily annotated with residences and death dates for earliest classes on first page of catalog.

Student notebook of Benjamin Waterhouse: 1776

Volume containing notes taken in 1776 by Benjamin Waterhouse (1754-1846) on medical lectures given in Scotland by University of Edinburgh Professor Andrew Duncan (1744-1828). The lectures focused on pathology, with attention given to secretion, absorption, nutrition, excretion, circulation, and respiration. There are also notes on common medicines and their indications and contraindications, such as emetics, cathartics, diaphoretics, and diuretics.

Address of the Trustees of a London Charity School to the Parent of a proposed scholar, 1776 June 24

This two-and-a-half-page handwritten document contains a copy of a set of rules for a parent of a school identified as "Saint Mary Rotherhith United Society."

Payment order for Joseph Belknap on behalf of Samuel Sewall, 1776 July 1

Handwritten order to John Sale to pay scholarship funds to Joseph Belknap for use by student Samuel Sewall (Harvard AB 1776), signed by Charles Chauncey, Jonathan Williams, and Daniel Marsh. The student's name is spelled "Samuel Sewal" in the document.

Letters from Daniel White to Andrew Hall, March 23, 1799

These two letters, both written on the same document, appear to be White's response to accusations from the father of one of his students at the Medford grammar school. Andrew Hall appears to have accused White of punishing his son too severely. In the letters, White denies Hall's accusations while defending his apparently strict approach to discipline. It is not certain whether both these letters were intended for Hall, or if one was written to another (unnamed) upset parent.
