This subseries contains one brief handwritten certification that Loammi Baldwin's son may study the French language as part of his college studies.

Annotated almanac, 1745

Almanac containing calendar pages with sporadic annotations of unidentified measurements and interleaved pages with short handwritten entries about Winthrop's daily activities, and astronomical and meteorological observations. The entries include personal notes about travel, the weather, deaths in the community, notes of public fasts for the Louisbourg expedition (February 28) and the "Indian war" (September 19), and a note of the surrender of Louisbourg (June 17). There is an entry listing the burials and baptisms in Boston by month, with the deaths subdivided for white and black individuals, and notes of "French prisoners" for July and "Fever & flux" for September.

Annotated almanac, 1757

Almanac containing calendar pages with sporadic annotations of measurements, two annotations about the weather, and a sentence in Hebrew. The volume also contains a laid-in leaf that includes personal entries noting deaths in the community, the cancellation of Harvard's Commencement due to a drought and the presence of the French fleet at Louisbourg (July 13), the weights of the Winthrop family (January 1), and a note of Charlestown burials and baptisms for the year.

Annotated almanac, 1755

Almanac containing calendar pages with sporadic annotations of measurements and small one-word notes. Winthrop often corrected the almanac's printed chart for the rising and setting of the sun. There are a few handwritten entries including a note in Latin about Winthrop's mother. An unattached sheet of paper folded into the almanac has burial and baptism statistics for Boston and Charleston, and entries about General Braddock's defeat by the French (July 9), a battle between General Johnson and the French and Indians under the Baron de Dieskau (September 8), the execution of two slaves for murdering their master (September 18), and a note that President Holyoke preached the Dudleian lecture (November 25).

Written mostly in a copperplate hand in black ink, and illustrated with watercolor drawings.

This is a contemporary draft composition reviewing the course of the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars. Tudor offers opinions on England’s diplomatic options after the renewal of hostilities and Prime Minister William Pitt the Younger: "His task is momentous and all Europe are watching his movements with anxiety." The document is signed "Marcus Valinus."
