This brief note from Samuel Gerrish to library keeper Joshua Gee is dated only as "Thursday Evening" and refers to payment issues related to the printing of the Library Catalogue. Gee refers to the note in his December 24, 1723, letter to President Leverett (UAIII 50.27.14 Box 1, Folder 7).

Receipt signed by Joshua Gee, [1723/4] January 14

This receipt acknowledges payment from the Harvard College Treasurer Edward Hutchinson for Joshua Gee's service in preparing the Library Catalogue. The receipt is dated as January 14, 1723, but presumably follows the December 25, 1723, vote of the Harvard Corporation to pay Gee for his services and refers to January 14, 1723/4.

Annotated almanac, 1759

Almanac containing a laid-in leaf and calendar pages with sporadic annotations of measurements, a note of the printer's markings on Winthrop and his wife's watches (January). The laid-in leaf includes personal entries about a measles outbreak (January), the death of his "negro man George" (May 13), the presence of bears in the area (September), the surrender of Quebec (October 16), the heights of Winthrop's son Jemmy and a "new negro boy" named Scipio, and deaths in the community including the burial and baptism statistics for Boston.

Annotated almanac, 1759

Almanac with three notations scattered among the calendar pages and one laid-in leaf containing entries about the weather, a list of deaths in the community arranged by date and containing names, age, and cause, a measles outbreak (January 5), an earthquake (February 2), and a bill of mortality for the first parish of Cambridge. Most entries appear to be in the hand of Hannah Winthrop; part of the list of deaths in the community and the bill of mortality appear to be in John Winthrop's hand.

Hand-sewn paper binding. Catalogue interleaved with unlined pages holding obituary information collected for graduates who died in 1818 through 1821, beginning with the Class of 1744. The catalogue pages are annotated with asterisks next to the names of alumni who died after the Catalogue's publication.

Bound with Catalogus eorum qui adhuc in Universitate Harvardiana ab anno MDCXLII ... gradus laurea donati sunt ..., 1813, a published alphabetical index of Harvard graduates; an additional handwritten, alphabetical index follows with the names of members of the Classes of 1814-1818. A list of "Mem. of those persons who have deceased since the last edition was printed in 1818" includes death dates through 1820.
