Copy of William Watson's account for painting and glazing of Holden Chapel, September 1801

Contains an itemized list of costs for painting and glazing tasks to be completed and supplies needed by Watson for Holden Chapel. Tasks include painting Doctor Warren's room twice, painting window sashes and shutters, transporting glass from Boston, and setting each window pane. Supplies needed include oil, white lead, and putty.

Account of time spent on College jobb, April 1813-1816

Sewn volume detailing the hours worked possibly by a carpenter or mason during the construction of University Hall. In addition to time worked, daily entries log the workmen employed on the project and the tasks completed in each room of University Hall. The back cover has several small drawings and illustrations inscribed with the year 1816.

Notebook with paper cover containing a handwritten list of the members of the Massachusetts General Court arranged by county and town. Pearson identified characteristics of the politicians including whether they were chosen by the people or Legislature, were for or against the College, were for or against the Virginia Resolutions, and whether they were "a good Federalist."

Quarterly account book, 1722-1751

The quarterly accounts are held in one tall folio volume spanning the years 1722-1751. The volume contains three sections: a journal of quarterly accounts tallying money owed to the Butler by students and tutors, followed by a journal of purchases made by the Butler, and finally, written tête-bêche (from the back cover forward), a ledger with weekly calculations and final quarterly sums owed the Butler by students and tutors.

One folio-sized leaf containing a handwritten unidentified statement with calculations by year between June 1785 through January 1799. The entries include a yearly figure and "deduct" amounts, and amounts include cents suggesting the figures represent income or repair amounts, as opposed to rents.

Two folio-sized leaves containing a one-page handwritten list of the "Accounts of Houses in Cambridge belonging to the College" with purchase dates between 1790 and 1795, sale prices, and rent amounts, and a list of repair amounts. The statements are attested by Ebenezer Storer, the College Treasurer.

Wm Howe & others Account and Receipt, 1768 May 21

Itemized handwritten bill for the services of eight men who guarded the College property on April 3, 1768. Includes a note by Deputy Sheriff William How[e] acknowledging receipt of payment by President Holyoke on May 21, 1768.

Sloop Cyrus account for Charter to West Indies, 1793 July 27

One folded folio-sized leaf containing handwritten financial entries compiled by William Winthrop from February 1793 to July 1793. The entry notes that the sloop made a "voyage to the West Indies" between February and May 1793.
