Desempenho mecânico de embalagens rígidas utilizadas na indústria agroquímica: estudo de compressão

The world population is growing at exponential scales, thus the demand for food grows significantly. The use of pesticides is seen as a way to meet the demand for food and increase the efficiency and productivity of the agricultural sector. BASF SA in partnership with packaging suppliers represent a remarkable scene in the Brazilian market in the agrochemicals sector. In 2014, the Department of Agro from BASF Packaging, identified in its production process certain deformation of its rigid packaging during the filling process of pesticides. This phenomenon is probably caused by the low resistance to compression that the package is used. In order to eliminate the deformation of rigid packaging arising from the filling step, a study will be conducted in conjunction with the supplier JET UNIPAC whose on line problems occurred more frequently. The study is to identify the strength of the rigid containers standardize a compression resistance value at which the package is not deformed after the filling step. This study will present an investigation through experiments combined with theoretical concepts in order to determine possible causes for the emergence of this phenomenon. At the end of the study, a solution to eliminate or reduce to the maximum the packaging deformation problem appears

Maternidade e natureza: dominadores comuns?

Encontramo-nos inseridos em uma crise que afeta diversas dimensões da vida do planeta e imersos em uma sociedade pautada no 'progresso' civilizatório desenfreado que se utiliza da dominação como instrumento central. A percepção hegemônica atual se pauta no universo como um universo mecânico, no meio natural a puro serviço humano e na mulher inferiorizada, padronizada e subordinada ao homem. Este trabalho parte da necessidade de assinalar os mecanismos que dominam, excluem, padronizam e normatizam a maternidade como os mesmos que dominam a natureza e traçam a crise ecológica. Tendo como referencial teórico, o Ecofeminismo relaciona e interconecta os padrões de dominação da natureza como os mesmos que propagam a subordinação da mulher dentro de sistemas patriarcais. Utilizando como método a revisão bibliográfica não-sistematizada, a pesquisa traça paralelos entre movimentos feministas e ecológicos mostrando a maternidade como um foco a ser olhado cuidadosamente para termos uma quebra nos padrões atuais de desenvolvimento. Para melhor organização, registro do conteúdo e acesso às obras consultadas foram feitos fichamentos das mesmas com corpo contendo resumo, citações, transcrições e reflexões

Análise de misturas solo-agregado reciclados de resíduos sólidos da construção civil, para fins de pavimentação de vias urbanas de baixo volume de tráfego

This work deals with the continuation of Scientific Initiation research initiated by Tamura (2012), which draws up a mixture of soil and recycled aggregate analysis for paving of low traffic volume roads using local materials from the Vale do Paraíba region. The main steps of the process were the soil and recycled aggregate characterization, along with grading tests and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) applied to the soil, the recycled aggregate and the mixture of soil and recycled aggregate; aiming their use as base and sub-base in paving urban roads. The results are discussed, emphasizing the mechanical behavior. The current results are compared with the results of IC Tamura research, taking decisions over this job to the final product best result. For a greater understanding of the work in general were described paving, its structure, its components and its physical behavior. It has been intended to emphasize the importance of the mixture of soil and recycled aggregate to meet the quality requirements and compliance with the specifications of current technical standards, in the context of durability, natural materials economy, decreases volume in landfills and cost reduction

Dispositivo de microdescargas em gases na pressão atmosférica

This work describes the development of an electro-mechanical micro-discharges device operating at ambient condition of pressure and temperature, capable to produce plasma jets for surface finishing. The discharges are produced through a needle shape electrode hollow cathode type by which flows the helium gas. The voltage applied on the electrode is provided for an AC/AC switching voltage converter of full-bridge topology. The converter is energized by a power line of 110/220 VAC, 60 Hz and gives a 1000 V peak-to-peak from 5 kHz to 40 kHz square waveform output. The output frequency is defined by a control signal provided by an external signal generator. The equipment setup includes output acquisition of voltage and current and a photo-detector for photo-electrical measurements, which allows an optical characterization of the plasma jet

Análise e comparação de orelhamento na liga AA3104 após laminação a quente

Aluminum has been widely used in the forming and manufacture of beverage cans, specific aluminum alloy AA3104, which manufacturers are increasingly demanding as to mechanical properties, quality and reducing waste. This work describes the analysis and comparison of the behavior of earing AA3104 aluminum alloy samples of final thicknesses of 1.80 and 2.10 mm. Were obtained after a hot rolling process, a total population of 86 samples for the two different thicknesses, of which 23 samples of 1.80 mm and 2.10 mm 63 samples. After removal of samples, there was a mechanical test inlay, then characterizing the earing in them. The results earing to the thicknesses of 1.80 and 2.10 mm were analyzed and compared statistically to give 7.1% and 7.4% on average, respectively, correlated with the hot rolling process variables, showing that they are statistically equal and that the process variables do not affect the end result desired, ranging from 7.0 to 7,5%

Concepção de um dispositivo fisioterápico: parapodium mecanizado

This paper presents a proposal to redesign a physical therapy device for patients with quadriplegia, called parapodium. With the help of the Association of Parents and Exceptional Friends of Guaratinguetá, it was possible to know the currently used device and from this it was conceived changes, allowing the increase of freedom of its central portion, in the down and across positions with mechanical drive . This adaptation is to introduce improvements in the routine of physical therapy professionals and reduce ergonomic problems resulting from repetitive strain during the transfer of patients to the parapodium. In addition to providing greater security for patients who require the use of this equipment. The proposed device comprises: wheel, gearbox and brake systems used for actuation, allowing a degree of turning of the rear post, along an axis which is fixed to the gearbox and the rear structure that permits posterior movement. The mechanism allows the rear post rotate from 0 ° to 90 °. The estimated cost to make the proposal is lower than the marketed parapodiuns, reaching the device's functional expectations
