Um artesão de matrioshkas - Ficção histórica e metaficção em Rubem Fonseca

Esta dissertação analisa os recursos metaficcionais nos contos e romances de Rubem Fonseca, incluindo os que tratam de eventos e personagens históricos, fundindo, assim, ficção e História. Para tanto, nos apoiamos em teóricos que se debruçam sobre a metaficção, esta tendência que marca o Pós-Modernismo em literatura, a exemplo de Linda Hutcheon (1991), Patricia Waugh (2003) e Gustavo Bernardo (2010). Um dos escritores brasileiros mais respeitados dentro e fora de nossas fronteiras, Fonseca estreia nos anos 1960 trilhando um caminho próprio dentro da prosa de ficção brasileira, não só pelas narrativas violentas, faceta pela qual ele é mais conhecido, mas também pelo caráter autorreflexivo, autoconsciente e digressivo de seus textos. Acusado de ser repetitivo, nota-se que, se é verdade que seus personagens em geral são “tipos” (o artista culto, o detetive, o “garanhão”), ele costuma experimentar na forma, variando os focos narrativos de maneira a entretecer camadas narrativas e parodiar gêneros: O caso Morel, por exemplo, é um romance policial que implode o romance policial; o conto "H.M.S. Cormorant em Paranaguá", por seu turno, é uma homenagem à segunda geração romântica brasileira, representada por Álvares de Azevedo, em uma conformação pós-moderna de pastiche. A obra cinquentenária de Rubem Fonseca joga luz sobre questões que estão na “ordem do dia”, como o tripé artista-sociedade-mercado, e introduz um outro olhar sobre o passado histórico - incluindo a História da cultura, principalmente da literatura. As narrativas aqui analisadas testam os limites que separam – ou não – a ficção da dita realidade, e são por nós classificadas nas seguintes categorias: autobiografia romanceada, romance biográfico, romance histórico pós-moderno, pastiche, metaficção historiográfica e metaficção policial.

Espaço público e sociabilidade urbana: apropriações e significados dos espaços públicos na cidade contemporânea

Study public space is studying the city and its dynamics through a representation point. The changes that are observed in these spaces and in the relations established there, or with it, are related to changes that occurred in the city as a whole, in the urban way of living. Study public space allied to urban sociability permits an even better focus on this relation between people in these spaces and with the spaces and in the consequences and fragile aspects this relation can impose to people and cities. This work is aimed towards this relation between public space and urban sociability. Through a conceptual/theoretical discussion aims, specifically, comprehend how to establish and what is the relation between urban space and urban sociability (appropriation/perception of place, tendencies of seclusion), from an isolated analysis of each one of these themes in the contemporaneous city. The Brazilian public space has peculiar characteristics, arising from its historical process of construction, also influenced by the public sphere fragile construction that permeates it, as well as more recent variables such as the sensation of insecurity and commodification of these places. The urban sociability influences and is influenced along all this process of significance and reframing of the public space. The conceptual discussion about each isolate variable provides the necessary coverage for discussion and analysis of the relation between them and the consequence of this relation in the city, such as the notation of relevant experiences of this process of revaluation of the public space. The hereby search is not through a path to reestablish the relation as it already existed, but also for an understanding of the dynamic as is established today and for existing possibilities for maintenance and appreciation of the relation between people and the city by believing in its importance to urban life

The present work seeks to investigate and discuss about the Greek Tragedy s elements at Ariano Suassuna s romance called τ Romance d A Pedra do Reino e o Principe do Sangue do Vai e Volta, connecting it directly to mythic, epic, poetic, and romances aspects at his work. The romance has as the protagonist the backcountry Pedro Dinis Quaderna. Quaderna is a character which is simultaneously popular, elitist, enigmatic, naive, and an intellectual man that has a great erudition. Quaderna is a character that seeks, by using the Literature, to reestablish a Brazilian backcountry kingdom which he s supposedly the king, always trying to empathizes the Brazilian northeast region like if it was a nation apart. By impressing a national personality to the Brazilian northeast , Quaderna tries to become an epic poet just like Homer, denoting a strong influence of the Epopee. Quaderna, just like many characters of Greek Tragedy, has at his family past time a lot of tragic circumstances. These facts that ocurred to his relativos like the your uncle Pedro Sebastião Garcia Barreto s death, the disappearement of his cousin Sinésio, and the contest between the brothers Arésio and Sinésio, and others aspects, remind us remarkable influences, beyond the Epopee, of the Greek Tragedy. By reading the romance we may notice many similarities between Quaderna s trajectory and Greek Tragedy heroes. To make an analysis about the tragic aspects at Suassuna s work, we need to dialogue with many theoreticals that have written about the tragic and comparate with many parts of Suassuna s with classics character s texts of Greek Tragedy.
