MVVC - Museu virtual Viana do Castelo: Um guia turístico para a cidade

A UE tem manifestado em matéria de turismo, a necessidade de serem criados novos produtos turísticos, com base na oferta total e única de cada uma das localidades. Se existirem recursos naturais, recursos culturais, bem como uma oferta de serviços complementares que incluam uma rede viária de fácil acesso e aeroporto nas imediações, alojamento e restauração existem as condições necessárias para desenvolver (novos) produtos locais. Viana do Castelo, cidade do nordeste português localizada no topo do país, reúne os recursos naturais, culturais e os serviços descritos atrás, razão pela qual foi alvo da concepção de um guia turístico virtual, com o objectivo de desenvolver e promover os seus produtos (turísticos) na comunidade local. Denominado "MWC", Museu Virtual Viana do Castelo, o guia turístico virtual estará escrito em português. Pretende ser traduzido noutros idiomas, inclusive para língua gestual e Braille. ABSTRACT; EU defends the creation of new touristic products, underlining each country has its own potentialities. To create new touristic products, mean to develop the local opportunities there are to be worked out. If there are natural resources, cultural resources, as well services supported by a good road network including airport nearby, several kind of accommodation and catering services it is possible to create new (local) products. Viana do Castelo is a Portuguese city, located in the Norwest top of Portugal. It meets all the resources mentioned above and other more, the reason why it is being conceived a virtual touristic guide, to develop and to promete its products among its local community. Named "MWC”, the Viana do Castelo Virtual Museum will be written in Portuguese language and later on in another language, sign languages and Braille.

As rotas Jacobeias em Portugal : estudo e divulgação do caso alentejano. Proposta de valorização - criação de um museu virtual e de um centro de interpretação

As peregrinações, entre elas a Santiago de Compostela, marcaram profundamente a sociedade europeia. Além das questões religiosas, os caminhos de Santiago originaram a criação de uma rede de infraestruturas que permitiu o desenvolvimento de regiões e aglomerados urbanos. Para provar a importância desses caminhos no distrito de Évora partimos de uma abordagem aos testemunhos patrimoniais evocando S. Tiago (móveis e imóveis, materiais e imateriais), procurando, como objectivo da Dissertação de Mestrado, conceber um projecto para divulgação da informação recolhida. Assim, sabendo que a sociedade actual exige mais informação visual na compreensão do legado cultural, optámos pela criação de um Museu Virtual e de um Centro de Interpretação. Se os Museus Virtuais oferecem inúmeras possibilidades de acesso às manifestações culturais, possibilitando ainda a formação através de tecnologias aplicadas na educação, os Centros de Interpretação criam condições de acolhimento e visita adequadas, fornecendo informações essenciais na compreensão e valorização dos legados patrimoniais. ABSTRACT: The pilgrimages, among them Santiago de Compostela, profoundly marked European society. ln addition to religious matters, the Way of Saint James led to the creation of a network infrastructure that enabled the development of regions and urban areas. To prove the importance of these pathways in the district of Évora part of an asset with reference to testimonies S. James (movable and immovable, tangible and intangible), for such purpose the master's thesis, designing a project to disseminate the information collected. So, knowing that society is demanding more visual information to understand the cultural legacy, we decided to create a Virtual Museum and an Interpretation Center. lf the Virtual Museums offer many opportunities for access to cultural events and can therefore training through technologies applied to education, the Centers for Interpretation create conditions for the reception and visit appropriate, providing key information in understanding and appreciation of legacies.

Reconstituição histórica virtual do retábulo-mor da Igreja do Espírito Santo de Évora: aplicação ao Património da infografia web-based

As a part of a multidisciplinary and integrated research, including conservation sciences and history, a proposal is presented for the historical reconstitution and the virtual restoration of the mannerist altarpiece of the main altar at the Espírito Santo Church, in Évora. The collected data is abundant and the scientific information, because of its technicality, is less prone to be easily understood by the general public, thus becoming less accessible. Web-based infographics are explored as privileged forms of disseminating results and raising awareness to Cultural Heritage. The project materializes as an Internet platform where data and a reconstitution proposal are shared in a visual and interactive way. In addition to the digital virtual reconstitution (2D), some tridimensional models (3D) are presented of various elements of the altarpiece, obtained using methods of computer graphics and digital photogrammetry

Conception of a YBCO Superconducting ZFC-Magnetic Bearing Virtual Prototype

This paper presents the conception of an original superconducting Frictionless Zero Field Cooling bearing virtual prototype. In previous work also shown in this conference, a viability study of a Zero Field Cooling-superconducting bearing concept was conducted. It showed that the virtual prototype is feasible. Moreover, the simulation studies showed that a Zero Field Cooling superconducting track provides not only effective lateral stability but also higher levitation forces than the commonly used Field Cooling tracks. In this paper the new Zero Field Cooling -bearing virtual prototype is modeled in 3D. The virtual prototype was designed having in mind: i) a future implementation in high density polyurethane, for low temperature robustness; ii) future manufacturing in a three axes CNC milling machine and; iii) future implementation of some parts using an additive manufacturing technique.
