Este estudo prope-se fazer uma anlise comparativa de dois manuais de leitura do ensino primrio, um em Lngua Portuguesa e o outro em Lngua Alemã. A pesquisa aponta afinidades e temas comuns na forma como em ambos os livros so abordados elementos representativos da identidade nacional e da memria colectiva. O nosso trabalho procura evidenciar, atravs dos manuais analisados e de uma fundamentao terica, a manipulao destes conceitos durante o perodo do Estado Novo e do Terceiro Reich, poca a que se reportam os manuais escolares. A nossa dissertao de mestrado insere-se no mbito da Literatura Comparada, apoiando-se no que diz respeito sua fundamentao terica em estudos e autores trabalhados no contexto das disciplinas de Literatura e Cultura de Massas e de Literatura Infanta-Juvenil, investigaes essenciais para estabelecer uma anlise comparativa entre os dois manuais de leitura do ensino bsico. ABSTRACT: This study aims at a comparative analysis of two primary textbooks, one in Portuguese and the other in German language. The research points out common topics, affinities as well as a similar approach to representative elements of the National Identity and the Collective Memory in Portugal and in Germany. Based on the analysis of the schoolbooks mentioned and supported by a theoretical ground basis, our work tries to show the manipulation of these concepts during the years of the Estado Novo and the Third Reich, the period of time in which both schoolbooks were published and taught. Our dissertation applies to the study field of Compared Literature, having its theoretical ground basis on studies and authors referred to in the scope of the disciplines of Literature and Culture of the Masses as well as Childrens and Youth Literature which provided us essential knowledge for a comparative analysis of these two primary schoolbooks.

Esta pesquisa estuda Incidente em Antares, de Erico Verssimo, e O co e os caluandas, de Pepetela, na perspectiva da stira menipeia. Para alm da biografia dos autores, busca-se discutir as origens do gnero da menipeia, recuperando o seu mais importante representante - Luciano de Samsata. , porm, sob a teoria de Mikhail Bakhtin que se analisam as obras dos escritores brasileiro e angolano. Quer-se verificar a presena de especficas caractersticas da stira menipeia, as quais so o carnaval e o riso ritual, a pardia, a liberdade imaginativa, o fantstico e seus desdobramentos, as cenas excntricas, os contrastes, a polifonia, a utilizao de gneros intercalados e a chamada publiscstica atualizada. No ltimo captulo h uma observao sociolgica das obras, o que permite pens-las como um retrato das sociedades a que os autores se referem. Besides de authors' biography, it tries to discuss the origin of the genre, recovering its most important representative - Luciano de Samosata. However, the search analyses the works of the Brazilian and Angolan writers upon the theory of Mikhail Bakhtin. lt intends to verify the presence of the specific characteristics of the menippean satire, which are: carnival and the ritual Iaughting, parody, imaginative freedom, the fantastic and its unfolding, eccentric scenes, contrasts, polyphony, intercalary genres and the up-to-date publiscistic. ln the last chapter there is a sociologic observation concerning the works, which allow thinking about them as a portrait of the societies that the authors want to discuss.
