La sistematización de experiencias: claves para la interpretación crítica

La sistematización es un ejercicio que se realiza en torno a experiencias prácticas cuya propuesta es cambiar la realidad social. Estas experiencias expresan procesos sociales dinámicos y complejos en los que intervienen múltiples factores. Nos permite comprender procesos y resultados, aprender lecciones y comunicar el conocimiento generado, así como las lecciones aprendidas sobre una o varias experiencias.AbstractSystematization is an exercise on practical experiences, addressed to making a change in social reality. These experiences reflect complex and dynamic social processes that include multiple factors. Systematization helps us to further understand complex dynamic social processes and outcomes, to learn lessons, and to communicate the knowledge generated, as well as the lessons learned, in regard to those experiences. 

El abuso sexual a niñas, niños y adolescentes: un secreto familiar, un problema familiar, un problema social

This investigation has the purpose of identifying how to prevent through educational processes, and then eradicate, the sexual abuse against children and adolescents in rural communities from Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. The premise is that sexual abuse cannot be approached in an isolated way; it requires integral and committed actions of the institutions in charge of children and adolescents’ integral protection and development. This implies considering: the legal framework, the response offered by government and private organizations towards the prevention and attention of rights as well as their actions to penalize and restore the violated rights; the role of families as main responsible of the well being of their children and the role of children and adolescents.

Proposal for Labor Market Integration of Teachers in Contexts of High Social Vulnerability

The purpose of this paper is to share a proposal for teacher’s labor market integration in contexts of high social5 vulnerability. This paper is the result of a research conducted in a priority attention primary school6 of the central canton of Heredia7. It explored the labor market integration process of teachers, considering the community, family and student reality of a population social risk. The research that supports this proposal is based on a qualitative approach, since the diagnosis process is not intended to provide answers that could be commonly applied to other education centers in similar contexts, but to make an exploratory approach of teachers’ reality and their integration process into education institutions of high social vulnerability. Therefore, although this paper intends to share this experience, it does not aim to unify integration practices, but to be an input in carrying out similar processes.  (5) The concept of high social vulnerability is understood based on Sojo’s approach (2003), which defines it as marginal urban communities in areas considered by the Costa Rican government as priority areas with the greatest social, economic backwardness in the country, and high rates of violence, leisure, unemployment and drug addiction. Rural Participation in the Territorial Development Processes

This paper discusses the urgency of creating a bridge between social participation and civic capacity building.  The permanent dialogue between expert and local knowledge should sustain significant, relevant learning processes from/to the rural areas of the Central American region.  Consistency and persistence of these processes will enhance human welfare based on the changes experienced in the rural areas.  Numerous Central American initiatives require effective social and institutional participation to be implemented.  Education, in its different forms and through its different resources, has the crucial responsibility of helping citizens to take advantage of those initiatives.
