LA GERENCIA DE LOS SERVICIOS ESPECIALIZADOS DE INFORMACIÓN CONCEBIDOS COMO UNA EMPRESA AMPLIADA

El concepto de empresa ampliada, dentro de la gerencia de servicios, permite analizar las funciones y objetivos de las bibliotecas, aprovechar oportunidades y superar limitaciones que tradicionalmente han sido motivo de estancamiento. La economía de servicios y los avances de la tecnología de los sistemas de información, exigen a las bibliotecas un papel más agresivo en cuanto a su identificación con la misión, visión y objetivos de las organizaciones a las cuales pertenecen. Aplicar el concepto de empresa ampliada, podría permitir a las bibliotecas lograr los beneficios propios de una red de valor, en contraposición de las desventajas de un trabajo aislado de sus clientes internos, externos y finales.

It is a matter of pride that Costa Rica and the National University, both with extensive experience in the development of library we are the headquarters for the first time, an event that brings together three different activities on this theme: the Central American Seminar, Workshops and Standing Committee of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, which will strengthen the monitoring and Manifestos on Public Libraries, Schools and Internet IFLA-UNESCO. Proposed network of mobile libraries: alternative information to rural communities in Costa Rica

This study examines the services provided by the bookmobile of SINABI-Public Libraries in rural communities visited Costa Rica during 2009 and 2010 according to the sample selected for the presentation of a proposed Mobile Library Network to Costa Rica.Each country has very heterogeneous populations and the populations in unfavorable geographical areas (rural or urban fringe areas) and areas without library service or cultural institution, they have specific information needs. By its terms can not exercise the right to information, while urban areas have greater influence and social advantage to have easy access to various information resources.The mobile library services are presented as an ideal tool to deliver library services to any population, mainly those remote communities and vulnerable state as rural areas. Bookmobile is defined as any means of transport (buses, trains, boats, motorcycles, boats, animals, etc.), which shifts documentary material.

The key to graduate professionals with sufficient capacity to meet the research demands of users, should be the vision and the commissioning of schools and their academic library. All these efforts must be linked systematically to ensure the use of data recorded on their knowledge and information units.
