Resumo:
Los enfoques más recientes en el área de la organización industrial plantean, a grandes rasgos que la conducta de las empresas o bien su comportamiento estratégico, es lo que determina su desempeño y la estructura industrial.El comportamiento estratégico dentro del análisis de la organización industrial en la banca, parte del supuesto de que la conducta de cada uno de los bancos será diferente, y que estas conductas en conjunto definen la estructura industrial, la cual será dinámica.El Banco Central de Costa Rica, según lo establece su Ley Orgánica, es responsable de promover la eficiencia y estabilidad del sistema financiero y de pagos, por tanto es consciente de la necesidad de profundizar en el análisis y conocimiento del sistema bancario. El interés concreto por el tema de organización industrial surge porque este mayor conocimiento del sistema conforma un apoyo importante para la formulación de política y la toma de decisiones de alto nivel.

En este artículo se reconstruye la crisis cafetalera de finales del siglo XIX y primeros años del siglo XX. So toma en cuenta las diferentes tendencias y fluctuaciones de la coyuntura adversa con el propósito de conocer su impacto en la economía nacional y en aquellos actores que conformaron los distintos eslabones de la cadena del café.Abstract: This article reconstructs the coffee crisis of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. II takes into account the different trends and fluctuations of the business cycle in order to understand its impact on the national economy and those actors who made up the different stages of the coffee chain.

The aim of this study was to analyze the Quality of Life, Sense of Coherence and Job Satisfaction by teachers of technical schools in the Heredia´s region. A group of 81 educators (25 male and 56 female) joined the study. It was used the SF-36 Questionnaire, the Sense of Coherence scale and a list of items related to the Job Satisfaction. There were found three factors associated to job satisfaction: (1) social atmosphere and job recognition, (2) infrastructure conditions, salary and promotion and (3) amount of job and relationship with the students. In general the results showed scores up of average Quality of Life. However, there were found low scores in central aspects like “Vitality”. The highest factors scores were found by the physical function and the physical role. The sense of coherence scores related to the factors “Life” and “Feelings” were middle. Both factors were significant associated to some dimensions of Quality of Life and Job Satisfaction. In sum, the results showed up, that it is necessary to develop programs in order to enhance sense of coherence and quality of life. Likewise, it is important to promote job satisfaction. A good job satisfaction has positive consequences to the health, and increase the compromise levels and teachers identification to the profession.

This paper refers to a crucial issue for higher education institutions. In Mexico, particularly, the collective work of academic bodies is an unresolved issue despite the efforts made in this regard. In this context, a well-founded systematic discussion is essential to understand the potential of these academic bodies on faculty strengthening and their subsequent impact on the quality of education. This paper presents the results of a research project conducted by FIME with the purpose of identifying the characteristics of its academic bodies as well as their current and potential condition.
