ERIC is an information system sponsored by the National Institute of Education, Department of Education, United States acquires, selects, summarizes, indexes, processes and disseminates information that is generated and produced in the field of education.ERIC was founded in 1966 with the purpose of controlling and collecting the literature of education and research and technical reports, conferences, studies by commissions and committees, descriptions of projects and programs, lectures, speeches and the like.
Resumo:
This article marks the decline of the historical study of the Library meet the increase in studies on technology-driven globalization and the predominance of technicality in the discipline, but it is essential to return to that historical knowledge if the Library want instituted as a fully scientific field of knowledge. Emphasized in the beginning of the Library from orality to the written record preserved by the archives and libraries and its close relation to the development of the science of history. It also establishes the link between documents librarians and historians to understand the past and present society.

La geografía se plantea como la disciplina mejor capacitada para construir un enfoque de desarrollo menos destructivo, más social y sostenible. Este artículo promueve una mejor comprensión del valor de la perspectiva geográfica al desarrollo sostenible. La Geografía como puente entre las ciencias naturales y sociales permite que veamos el paisaje como producto de la interacción del ser humano con el ambiente. La geografía como disciplina científica facilita la construcción de un desarrollo sostenible. This article promotes a better understanding of the value of perspective geography to sustainable development. Geography as a bridge between the natural and social sciences permits us to see the landscape as a product of the interaction between man and the environment.
