La poesíaterapia: enfrentando y manejando el dolor

Este artículo presenta una propuesta para enfrentar y manejar el dolor y la enfermedad basada en los factores y beneficios curativos de la poesía como terapia. Se analiza la forma como ha sido utilizada la literatura (lectura y escritura) para fines terapéuticos a través de la historia y establece algunas actividades que se pueden realizar. Abstract The present article proposes a methodology to face and handle pain and illness based on the factors and healing benefits of poetry as therapy. The use of related literature (reading and writing) for therapeutic purposes through history is fully analyzed along with some dynamics to be performed.

Comunidades y agentes del estado en la construcción de formas cotidianas de negociación: Costa Rica, 1850-1914

ResumenEl artículo es un análisis de la construcción del poder en el mundo predominantemente rural del Valle Central, fundamentado en la interacción entre los agentes del Estado y las comunidades campesinas. Propone develar una dimensión de las prácticas hegemónicas en la organización del trabajo colectivo para el desarrollo de la infraestructura requerida por el proceso de mercantilización de la economía. El poder directriz de los agentes del Estado es afirmado, disputado y negociado por comunidades campesinas, cruzadas por diferencias y conflictos económicos y regionales. Puntos de encuentro y fractura entre las comunidades se integran a las construcciones discursivas que, sutil o abiertamente, enfrentan las políticas públicas.AbstractThis article constitutes an analysis of the construction of power, in a predominantly rural world of the Central Valley of Costa Rica, based on the interaction between government agents and rural communities. It intends to unveil a dimension of hegemonic practices in the organization of collective work for the development of infrastructure required for the process of commercialization of the economy. The steering power of the government agents is acknowledged, debated on, and negotiated by the peasant communities, intersected by economic and regional differences and conflicts. Points of coincidence and fracture between communities are woven into the discursive constructions facing public policies, whether in a subtle or open manner. 

Construction of the Cognitive Dimension of the Scientific Literacy in the Students through the Costa Rican Biological Sciences Olympics

This research recognizes the cognitive contributions to the students participating in the Third Costa Rican Biological Sciences Olympics that will define the advancement and strengthening in the construction of its conceptual dimension in the scientific literacy.  This paper is based, mainly, on qualitative approach techniques (ethnographic design:  case study); however, some data are interpreted through quantitative methodologies (descriptive design with an explanatory and exploratory touch) for the analysis of a sample of 54 high school students, finalists in the category A of the Olympics, through the use of tools such as a documentary study and a survey, in July 2009.  The information generated was analyzed using elements of inferential and descriptive statistics, figures and histograms.  It was proved that there is a better cognitive management in the topics assessed, an increase in the students’ academic performance as the tests are applied, a commitment for the academic update supported by the development of several tasks for previous preparation, curriculum contributions unprecedented based on our sample, a consent to optimize student’s knowledge about Biology, which will allow the application of scientific notions to diversify and renew the knowledge, according to what is established in the principles of scientific literacy.

LA PRODUCCION DEL ESPACIO, EL PRECIO DE LA TIERRA Y LA POLITICA DEL ESTADO

En este artículo se presenta el análisis del conjunto de procesos relacionados con la producción simple y ampliada del medio construido. En este sentido, la producción de las condiciones generales de infraestructura, equipamiento y los servicios y el proceso de la producción (vivienda) conforman la unidad básica para la reproducción de la fuerza de trabajo y del capital. La infraestructura, el equipamiento, los espacios públicos, las áreas verdes, los servicios de educación, salud y el aparato socio-cultural cumplen una función fundamental en la creación de las condiciones esenciales para la reproducción de la fuerza de trabajo y la acumulación simple y ampliada del capital.Desde la perspectiva este artículo se centrara en los aspectos relativos a la construcción del espacio y la producción de la vivienda, en una doble dimensión la producción del espacio residencial y la producción de la vivienda.SUMMARYIn this article, it is presented the analysis of the whole of processes related to the simple and extended production of the built environment. To this effect, the production of the general conditions of infrastructure, equipment, services, and the production process of the production units (housing) conform the basic unit for the reproduction of the labour force and capital. The infrastructure, the equipment, the public spaces, the green areas, education services, health, and the socio cultural device, fulfil a fundamental function in the creation of the essential conditions for the reproduction of the labour force and the simple and extended accumulation of capital.From this perspective, this article will focus on the aspects relative to the construction of space and the production of housing, in a double dimension, the production of residential space and the production of housing.
