BIO-BIBLIOGRAPHY OF (AS) Benefactors (AS) OF THE COUNTRY AND CITIZENS (AS) 1847-2008 HONOR

Today's society called information society, grows rapidly and undergoes changes in the sources of information under the Information Technology and Communication ("tics"), in this situation it is necessary to develop tools or reference sources that allow the (to) user (a) the accessibility and use of information. It systematized information on the Meritorious Citizen of the Fatherland and Honor that is Costa Rica, since 1847 to 2008, due to its contribution to culture, science, recreation, among others. The overall objective of this research was to make a work print and digital reference, which will collect each of the biographies and works written by (as) Benefactors (as) of the country and citizens (as) of Honor and to facilitate access to information and strengthen outreach conducted by the Library "Victor Manuel Sanabria Martínez" of the Legislature, through its publications, exhibitions and related activities, to publicize its documentary. The variables used for this investigation were:-sources (primary and secondary), Organization of information - tools in various documentation centers and libraries. This was carried out a questionnaire, which was structured in the Excel program, aimed at (as) directors (as) or officers (as) in different libraries and documentation centers, and visits to selected sites for search and selection information. It is important to spread this final graduation in different public and school libraries in the country, since history and culture rescues national, who gave identity to the Costa Rican people. The systematization made by a thematic CD-ROM, provide accessibility to all (as) the (as) citizens (as) who access the Internet through the website of the Legislative Assembly Library and other state institutions wishing through a hyperlink on your "web", to refer the same.

Costa Rican personalities

In the chair Creating and Maintaining Database of the School of Library, Documentation and Information, in 1998, students created a database called "Biblos" with information on 632 libraries and information centers and documentation of Costa Rica. A valuable work needed more time to verify, debug, analyze the results statistically, prepare a report, a catalog and indexes required to publish the document: "Libraries Rican."In 1999, finding the students are excited and committed to this document, I suggested we call the project work: "Personalities Rican," which was to develop a database and use it as input to design a Web page that can be installed on Internet or burn a CD. Students were identified and committed to the project. Providing an innovative practices, apply creativity, awareness of acquired knowledge, skills and abilities needed to provide users with products and innovative information services.

Presented in this bulletin educational innovation that changes the traditional teaching of library and documentation with the inclusion of tools such as computer and support documents: the compact disc, floppy disks, optical media mail. It proposes a contemporary conception of storage and retrieval revolutionizing the traditional world of paper.

Nos encontramos a escasos 8 años del siglo XXI y la información que cobra día a día más auge y más importancia, el acelerado devenir tecnológico y los descubrimientos científicos, hacen que el bibliotecario sea un transmisor de innovación y comunicación que se desenvuelva en un mundo competitivo, en donde debe ser agresivo, dinámico y capaz de adoptar todo ese cúmulo tecnológico y científico si quiere sobrevivir en el futuro como profesional.Si retrocedemos cinco años, nos damos cuenta que la Bibliotecología es una de las disciplinas que más ha evolucionado con respecto a términos relacionados con gestión automatizada de información. Palabras como scanners, videodisco, reconocimiento de caracteres ópticos, CD-ROM, CD-I (Disco compacto interactivo), etc., forman parte del vocabulario bibliotecológico que ha sido incorporado por los profesionales quienes se desenvuelven en el complicado mundo de la información.
