En la Escuela de Topografía, Catastro y Geodesia (ETCG) se ha implementado el Servicio de Datos GPS (SDG), el cual es un dominio en Internetque ofrece a los diferentes usuarios el acceso a información técnica y la posibilidad de descargar los archivos de datos generados diariamente por la estación GPS de operación continua de la ETCG. Los archivos disponibles en el SDG incluyen dos tratamientos previos a su publicación: un control de calidad al archivo rinex de observación con el programa Teqc y posteriormente la aplicación de la compresión de los tres archivos rinex (observación,navegación y meteorología) con el algoritmo de Hatanaka. Los dos procesos están totalmente automatizados y se ejecutan de forma diaria por medio de batch files. Con base en la puesta en operación del SDG, los archivos son procesados diariamente por uno de los centros de análisis de datos de SIRGAS y desde la semana 1501 GPS, los archivos de soluciones semanales generados por el DGFI de Alemania incorporan oficialmente los datos de la ETCG.

ISO 9000 is a family of international standards for quality management, applicable to all sizes of company, whether public or private.Management Systems ISO 9000 quality make up the human side, administrative and operating companies. By integrating these three aspects, the organization takes full advantage of all its resources, making results more efficiently, reducing administrative and operating expenses.With globalization and opening markets this has become a competitive advantage by providing further confidence and evidence to all customers, subcontractors, personnel and other stakeholders that the organization is committed to establishing, maintaining and improving levels acceptable quality products and services.Another advantage of quality systems is the clear definition of policies and functions, the staff is utilized according to their ability and focus on real customer needs.It should be mentioned that to achieve these benefits, it is necessary that management of the organization, is committed to the development of its quality system and to allocate financial and human resources to do so. These resources are minimal compared with the benefits you can achieve.

The aim of this study was to analyze the Quality of Life, Sense of Coherence and Job Satisfaction by teachers of technical schools in the Heredia´s region. A group of 81 educators (25 male and 56 female) joined the study. It was used the SF-36 Questionnaire, the Sense of Coherence scale and a list of items related to the Job Satisfaction. There were found three factors associated to job satisfaction: (1) social atmosphere and job recognition, (2) infrastructure conditions, salary and promotion and (3) amount of job and relationship with the students. In general the results showed scores up of average Quality of Life. However, there were found low scores in central aspects like “Vitality”. The highest factors scores were found by the physical function and the physical role. The sense of coherence scores related to the factors “Life” and “Feelings” were middle. Both factors were significant associated to some dimensions of Quality of Life and Job Satisfaction. In sum, the results showed up, that it is necessary to develop programs in order to enhance sense of coherence and quality of life. Likewise, it is important to promote job satisfaction. A good job satisfaction has positive consequences to the health, and increase the compromise levels and teachers identification to the profession.
