Characteristics essential for the readout durability of a superresolution near-field structure (super-RENS) disk are studied experimentally by using a home-built optical measuring setup and atomic force microscope, based on a simplified PtOx super-RENS disk. The experimental results show that for a super-RENS disk with constant structure and materials, readout signals including transmittance and reflectance vary with changes in bubble shape and size, indicating that the readout durability of the disk has a strong dependence on bubble stability, which is closely related to the thickness of the cover layer, the recording power and readout power, and the mechanical properties of the dielectric layer. Based on our experimental results, the main direction for improving readout durability is also proposed. (c) 2008 Optical Society of America.

Under the environment of seawater, durability of concrete materials is one of the chief factors considered in the design of structures. The decrease of durability of structures is induced by the evolution of micro-damage due to the erosion of chlorine and sulfate ions, which is characterized by the reduction of modulus, strength, and toughness of the material. In this paper, the variation of the flexural strength of cement mortar under sulfate erosion is investigated. The results obtained in present work indicate that the erosion time, concentration of sulfate solution, and water-to-cement ratio will significantly affect the flexural strength. 利用全谱直读电感耦合等离子体原子发射光谱仪(ICP—AES)定量分析了TeO2-ZnO系统玻璃的化学稳定性,并从TeO2-ZnO系统玻璃的结构与价键理论的角度分析了水对该系统玻璃的侵蚀机理。实验结果表明,水对该玻璃系统的侵蚀过程属于连续性溶解过程,且获得该系统玻璃化学稳定性较理想组分。

高功率大尺寸激光玻璃硬包边技术对于提高激光玻璃的饱和增益系数具有非常重要的价值。本文采用传统的玻璃熔制方法,研究了Li-Na混合碱效应对磷酸盐包边玻璃折射率、热膨胀系数α、玻璃转变温度Tg、膨胀软化温度Td以及溶解速率(DR)的影响规律。研究结果表明:当Li/(Li+Na)=0.5时,Tg、Td和DR取得极小值,表明混合碱效应既能降低包边玻璃的转变温度,又能提高包边玻璃的化学稳定性,这些性质对于包边玻璃的设计是非常可贵的。

abstract {Silica glass is an attractive host matrix for the emission ions of rare earth and transition metal ions because it has small thermal expansion coefficient, strong thermal resistance, large fracture strength and good chemical durability and so on. However, a major obstacle to using it as the host matrix is a phenomenon of concentration quenching. In this paper, we introduces a novel method to restrain the concentration quenching by using a porous glass with SiO2 content > 95% (in mass) and prepare intense fluorescence high-SiO2 glasses and high-SiO2 laser glass. The porous glass with high-SiO2 content was impregnated with rare-earth and transition metal ions, and consequently sintered into a compact non-porous glass in reduction or oxidization atmospheres. Various intense fluorescence glasses with high emission yields, a vacuum ultraviolet-excited intensely luminescent glass, high silica glass containing high concentration of Er3+ ion, ultrabroad infrared luminescent Bi-doped high silica glass and Nd3+-doped silica microchip laser glass were obtained by this method. The porous glass is also favorable for co-impregnating multi-active-ions. It can bring effective energy transferring between various active ions in the glass and increases luminescent intensity and extend range of excitation spectrum. The luminescent active ions-doped high-SiO2 glasses are potential host materials for high power solid-state lasers and new transparent fluorescence materials.}

包边技术是提高大尺寸激光玻璃饱和增益系数的关键技术。采用传统的方法熔制玻璃,研究了 P2O5含量对 P2O5-Al2O3-B2O3-CuCl-Na2O-ZnO磷酸盐包边玻璃的折射率、热膨胀系数、玻璃转变温度、膨胀软化温度以及化学稳定性的影响。结果表明:当 P2O5的摩尔分数为 60%左右,玻璃样品具有最高的折射率(1.522 0)、最低的玻璃转变温度(352.4 ℃)、较好的化学稳定性[0.52 mg/(cm^2·d)]和适宜的热膨胀系数(128.427×10^-7/℃),是用作钕磷酸盐激光玻璃硬包边的理

A new Er(3+)/Yb(3+) co-doped phosphate glass has been prepared, which exhibits good chemical durability and spectralproperties. Planar graded index waveguides have been fabricated in the glass by (Ag+)-Na(+) ion exchange in a mixed melt of silver nitrate and potassium nitrate. Ion exchange is carried out by varying the process parameters such as temperature, diffusion time, and molten salt compositions. The diffusion parameters, diffusion coefficients, and activation energy are determined by the guidelines of fabricated waveguides, which are determined by the input prism coupling technique.

The effect of Al(PO3)(3) content on physical, chemical and optical properties of fluorophosphate glasses for 2 mu m application, such as thermal stability, chemical durability, surface hardness, absorption spectra and emission spectra, is investigated. With the increment of Al(PO3)(3) content, the thermal stability characterized by the gap of T-g and T,, increases first and then decreases, and reaches the maximum level containing 5 mol% Al(PO3)(3) content. The density and chemical durability decrease monotonously with the introduction of Al(PO3)(3) content increasing, while the refractive index and surface hardness increase. Above properties of fluorophosphate glasses are also compared with fluoride glasses and phosphate glasses. The Judd-Ofelt parameters, absorption and emission cross sections are discussed based on the absorption spectra of Tm-doped glasses. The emission spectra are also measured and the 1.8 mu m fluorescence of the sample is obvious indicating that it is suitable to 2 mu m application. (c) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

通过优化熔融条件和玻璃组份,成功开发出一种新的Er^3+/Yb^3+共掺磷酸盐玻璃,其在沸水和熔盐中均表现出很好的化学稳定性。通过分析室温下Er^3+/Yb^3+共掺磷酸盐玻璃的吸收光谱,计算得到了Er^3+离子在波长1533nm处的峰值发射截面和杜得-奥菲而特强度参数;其中Er^3+离子在波长1533nm处的峰值发射截面为0.72×10^20cm^2,大于Schott的IOG1玻璃中Er^3+离子的峰值发射截面0.67×10^-20cm^2。通过改变离子交换的条件,获得了1.55μm单模光波导的制作条件

Coatings with layer structures of Ag/glass, Ag/Cr/glass, and Ag/Cr-Ag/Cr/glass deposited with magnetron sputtering are investigated. The results indicate that the performance for reflectance, hardness, adherence, and humidity durability of the silver coatings with Ag/Cr/glass and Ag/Cr-Ag/Cr/glass structures are better than pure silver film. In addition, the silver coatings with an Ag/Cr-Ag/glass structure present more advantages than that of the Ag/Cr/glass. Reasons are analyzed accordingly. Microstructures and electrochemical properties of Ti0.26Zr0.07V0.21Mn0.1Ni0.33Mox (x=0,0.025,0.05,0.075, 0.10) electrode alloys have been investigated. The results of XRD analysis show that the alloys are mainly composed of V-based solid solution phase with body centered cubic (bcc) structure and C14 Laves phase with hexagonal structure. The addition of Mo element can imp ove the activation characteristics, maximum discharge capacity and cyclic durability for the electrode alloys

A dense clad overlay with chemical inertness was achieved on top of the plasma-sprayed YSZ thermal barrier coatings by laser in order to protect them from hot-corrosion attack. The Al2O3-clad YSZ coating exhibited good hot-corrosion behavior in contact with salt mixture of vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) and sodium sulfate (Na2SO4) for a longtime of 100 h at 1173 K. The LaPO4-clad YSZ coating showed corrosion resistance inferior to the Al2O3-clad one. Yttria was leached from YSZ by reaction between Y2O3 and V2O5, which caused progressive destabilization transformation of YSZ from tetragonal (t) to monoclinic (m) phase. The chemical inertness of the clad layers and the restrained infiltration of the molten corrosive salts by the dense clad layers were primary contributions to improvement of the hot-corrosion resistances.
