在近海管线的铺设、安装、使用过程中有多种作业状态：在位、悬跨、挖沟、提吊、铺管等。各种状态下管线的受力特点不同,加上管线结构、海况和海底土壤等因素又都很复杂,所以近海管线的强度分析难度大、内容多。分别采用解析方法、数值方法（有限元法、打靶法）和二者结合来解决理论上的（如几何非线性、动边界等）、实用性方面的难点。在理论分析的基础上,编制了符合产业部门工程师使用要求的近海管线强度分析软件。介绍了该软件进行力学分析时采用的理论以及软件界面。

Edge-defined, film-fed growth (EFG) technique for the preparation of alpha-Al2O3 : C crystal with highly sensitive thermoluminescence response

In this work, alpha-Al2O3:C, a highly sensitive thermoluminescence dosimetry crystal, was grown by the EFG method in which a graphite heating unit and shield acted as the carbon source during the growth process. The optical, luminescent properties and dosimetric characteristics of the crystal were investigated. The as-grown crystal shows a single glow peak at 536 K, which is associated with Cr3+ ions. After annealing in H-2 at 1673 K for 80 h, the crystal shows a single glow peak at 460 K and a blue emission band at 415 nm. The thermoluminescent response of the annealed crystal shows linear-sublinear-saturation characteristics in the dose range from 5 x 10(-6) to 100 Gy.

Cryopreservation of cynomolgus monkey (Macaca fascicularis) spermatozoa in a chemically defined extender

Aim: To establish a method for cynomolgus monkey sperm cryopreservation in a chemically defined extender. Methods: Semen samples were collected by electro-ejaculation from four sexually mature male cynomolgus monkeys. The spermatozoa were frozen in straws by liquid nitrogen vapor using egg-yolk-free Tes-Tris (mTTE) synthetic extender and glycerol as cryoprotectant. The effects of glycerol concentration (1%,3%, 5%, 10% and 15% [v/v]) and its equilibration time (10 min, 30 min, 60 min and 90 min) on post-thaw spermatozoa were examined by sperm motility and sperm head membrane integrity. Results: The post-thaw motility and head membrane integrity of spermatozoa were significantly higher (P < 0.05) for 5% glycerol (42.95 +/- 2.55 and 50.39 +/- 2.42, respectively) than those of the other groups (1%: 19.19 +/- 3.22 and 24.84 +/- 3.64; 3%: 34.23 +/- 3.43 and 41.37 +/- 3.42; 10%: 15.68 +/- 2.36 and 21.39 +/- 3.14; 15%: 7.47 +/- 1.44 and 12.90 +/- 2.18). The parameters for 30 min equilibration (42.95 2.55 and 50.39 2.42) were better (P < 0.05) than those of the other groups (10 min: 31.33 +/- 3.06 and 38. 98 +/- 3.31; 60 min: 32.49 +/- 3.86 and 40.01 +/- 4.18; 90 min: 31.16 +/- 3.66 and 38.30 +/- 3.78). Five percent glycerol and 30 min equilibration yielded the highest post-thaw sperm motility and head membrane integrity. Conclusion: Cynomolgus monkey spermatozoa can be successfully cryopreserved in a chemically defined extender, which is related to the concentration and the equilibration time of glycerol.

Tunneling transmission in two quantum wires coupled by a magnetically defined barrier

A numerical analysis of an electron waveguide coupler based on two quantum wires coupled by a magnetically defined barrier is presented with the use of the scattering-matrix method. For different geometry parameters and magnetic fields, tunneling transmission spectrum is obtained as a function of the electron energy. Different from that of conventional electron waveguide couplers, the transmission spectrum of the magnetically coupled quantum wires does not have the symmetry with regard to those geometrically symmetrical ports, It was found that the magnetic field in the coupling region drastically enhances the coupling between the two quantum wires for one specific input port while it weakens the coupling for the other input port. The results can be well understood by the formation of the edge states in the magnetically defined barrier region. Thus, whether these edge states couple or decouple to the electronic propagation modes in the two quantum wires, strongly depend on the relative moving directions of electrons in the propagating mode in the input port and the edge states in the magnetic region. This leads to a big difference in transmission coefficients between two quantum wires when injecting electrons via different input ports. Two important coupler specifications, the directivity and uniformity, are calculated which show that the system we considered behaves as a good quantum directional coupler. practical type checking of functions defined on context-free languages

A type checking method for the functional language LFC is presented. A distinct feature of LFC is that it uses Context-Free (CF) languages as data types to represent compound data structures. This makes LFC a dynamically typed language. To improve efficiency, a practical type checking method is presented, which consists of both static and dynamic type checking. Although the inclusion relation of CF.languages is not decidable,a special subset of the relation is decidable, i.e., the sentential form relation, which can be statically checked.Moreover, most of the expressions in actual LFC programs appear to satisfy this relation according to the statistic data of experiments. So, despite that the static type checking is not complete, it undertakes most of the type checking task. Consequently the run-time efficiency is effectively improved. Another feature of the type checking is that it converts the expressions with implicit structures to structured representation. Structure reconstruction technique is presented.
