南雄县紫色土砂页岩流失区银合欢引种栽培

紫色砂页岩沟状重水土流失区，土层十分干旱，常见绿化造林树种极难生长。根据这种情况，1983年始，应用多年来对银合欢属树种具有耐高温、耐干旱，适宜碱性土壤生长的观察研究结果，在南雄县13个自然村，500公顷低丘陵荒坡地、应用银合欢属树种营造水保林，综合治理水土流失试验。经三年试验，从26个银合欢引种材料中，选出适宜当地生长的三个优良品种，提出了一套树种栽培营林和水保工程措施相结合的治理技术。经治理三年的营林地段，水土流失年冲刷模数（固体迳流）从未治理的每平方公里对照区流失量19.057吨下降到每平方公里流失量5.372吨每公里长林带（林带宽1.5米）生产造纸用材9.8吨，供饲料生产的干嫩叶2.8吨。该项研究，在国内率先提出了控制紫色砂页岩地区水土流失的先进技术，具有在我国同类型地区推广应用价值。

Constitutive expression of thymidylate synthase from LCDV-C induces a transformed phenotype in fish cells

Thymidylate synthase (TS), an essential enzyme in DNA synthesis and repair, plays a key role in the events of cell cycle regulation and tumor formation. Here, an investigation was presented about subcellular location and biological function of viral TS from lymphocystis disease virus from China (LCDV-C) in fish cells. Fluorescence microscopy revealed that LCDV-C TS was predominantly localized in the cytoplasm in fish cells. Cell cycle analysis demonstrated that LCDV-C TS promoted cell cycle progression into S and G2/M phase in the constitutive expressed cells. As a result, the cells have a faster growth rate compared with the control cells as revealed by cell growth curves. For foci assay, the TS-expressed cells gave rise to foci 4-5 weeks after incubation. Microscopic examination of the TS-induced foci revealed multilayered growth and crisscross morphology characteristic of transformed cells. Moreover, LCDV-C TS predisposed the transfected cells to acquire an anchorage-independent phenotype and could grow in 0.3% soft agar. So the data reveal LCDV-C TS is sufficient to induce a transformed phenotype in fish cells in vitro and exhibits its potential ability in cell transformation. Investigation on the origin of wurtzite domains in thick cubic GaN using reactive ion etching

We measured the depth profiling of photoluminescence (PL) in cubic GaN films. The depth-resolved PL of normal grown GaN layers showed that the near-band-edge luminescence intensities of both cubic and wurtzite domains remained constant only until an etching depth of up to 2.7 mu m, but their ratio remained unchanged at all etching depths. Moreover, when a thin In0.1Ga0.9N layer was sandwiched between two GaN layers, the content of the wurtzite domains increased, and its distribution showed a dependence on thickness. As the reactive ion etching depth increased, the PL intensity ratio of cubic GaN to wurtzite domains increased. Based on the distribution, the strain relaxation, instead of the instability of cubic GaN at high temperature, was attributed to the origin of wurtzite domains. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. 八棱丝瓜蛋白1的体外抗HIV-1活性

目的:研究八棱丝瓜蛋白1的抗HIV-1活性.方法:通过实验株HIV-1IIIIB诱导合胞体形成抑制实验、HIV-1IIIB和临床分离株HIV-IKM018急性感染细胞以及HIV-1IIIB慢性感染细胞的p24抗原表达抑制实验检测八棱丝瓜蛋白1的抗HIV-1活性.结果:八棱丝瓜蛋白1抑制HIV-1IIIB诱导C8106细胞形成合胞体的EC50为0.025 μmol·L-1,治疗指数为76.八棱丝瓜蛋白1抑制HIV-1IIIB感染C8166和HIV-1KM018感染PBMC的p24抗原表达的EC50分别为0.033和0.207 μmol·L-1.八棱丝瓜蛋白1不抑制HIV-1IIIB在慢性感染H9细胞中的复制.结论:首次发现八棱丝瓜蛋白1是一种具有抗HIV-1活性的核糖体失活蛋白.

Preparation, characterization and quantized capacitance of 3-mercapto-1,2-propanediol monolayer protected gold nanoparticles

Monolayer protected gold nanoparticles (MPCs) are the focus of recent research for their stability and are deemed as the building blocks of bottom-up strategies. In this Letter, 3-mercapto-1,2-propanediol monolayer protected gold nanoparticles (MPD-MPCs) were synthesized and characterized by transmission electron microscopy, UV/Vis spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The value of quantized double-layer capacitance (1.13 aF) of MPD-MPCs in aqueous media was obtained by differential pulse voltammograms.

Synthesis and characterization of soluble polyimides from 1,1-bis(4-aminophenyl)cyclohexane derivatives

A series of novel aromatic diamines (1-3) containing kinked cyclohexylidene moieties was synthesized by a reaction of excess aniline and corresponding methyl-substituted cyclohexanone derivatives. The structures of (1-3) were identifield by H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, and FT-IR. The polymers were synthesized from the obtained diamines and various aromatic dianhydrides by the conventional polycondensation reaction followed by chemical imidization as well as high-temperature one-step polymerization. The inherent viscosities and weight-average molecular weights of the resulting polyimides were in the ranges of 0.55-1.58 dL/g and (7.4-15.2) x 10(4) g/mol, respectively. The prepared polyimides showed excellent thermal stabilities and good solubility. All polymers were readily soluble in common organic solvents such as tetrahydrofuran, chloroform, tetrachloroethane, etc., and the glass transition temperatures were observed at 290-372 degrees C.
