Photonic crystal devices with feature sizes of a few hundred nanometers are often fabricated by electron beam lithography. The proximity effect, stitching error and resist profiles have significant influence on the pattern quality, and therefore determine the optical properties of the devices. In this paper, detailed analyses and simple solutions to these problems are presented. The proximity effect is corrected by the introduction of a compensating dose. The influence of the stitching error is alleviated by replacing the original access waveguides with taper-added waveguides, and the taper parameters are also discussed to get the optimal choice. It is demonstrated experimentally that patterns exposed with different doses have almost the same edge-profiles in the resist for the same development time, and that optimized etching conditions can improve the wall angle of the holes in the substrate remarkably. Concept mapping is a technique for visualizing the relationships between different concepts, and collaborative concept mapping is used to model knowledge and transfer expert knowledge. Because of lacking some features,existing systems can’t support collaborative concept mapping effectively. In this paper, we analysis the collaborative concept mapping process according to the theory of distributed cognition, and argue the functions effective systems ought to include. A collaborative concept mapping system should have the following features: visualization of concept map, flexible collaboration style,supporting natural interaction, knowledge management and history management. Furthermore, we describe every feature in details. Finally,a prototype system has been built to fully explore the above technologies.

The necessity of the use of the block and parallel modeling of the nonlinear continuous mappings with NN is firstly expounded quantitatively. Then, a practical approach for the block and parallel modeling of the nonlinear continuous mappings with NN is proposed. Finally, an example indicating that the method raised in this paper can be realized by suitable existed software is given. The results of the experiment of the model discussed on the 3-D Mexican straw hat indicate that the block and parallel modeling based on NN is more precise and faster in computation than the direct ones and it is obviously a concrete example and the development of the large-scale general model established by Tu Xuyan.

A systematic study of the pi(-)/pi(+) ratio in heavy-ion collisions with the same neutron/proton ratio but different masses can help single out effects of the nuclear mean field on pion production. Based on simulations using the IBUU04 transport model, it is found that the pi(-)/pi(+) ratio in head-on collisions of Ca-48 + Ca-48, Sn-124 + Sn-124, and Au-197 + Au-197 at beam energies from 0.25 to 0.6 GeV/nucleon increases with increasing the system size or decreasing the beam energies. A comprehensive analysis of the dynamical isospin fractionation and the pi(-)/pi(+) ratio as well as their time evolution and spatial distributions demonstrates clearly that the pi(-)/pi(+) ratio is an effective probe of the high-density behavior of the nuclear symmetry energy.
