《计算流体力学》是为高等院校和科研单位研究生撰写的“计算流体力学”课程的教科书。全书共分九章。前五章讲述了计算流体力学中的基本概念和基本方法。包括流体动力学的诸方程和模型方程及其数学性质、数值解的理论依据、基本计算方法和数值解的行为分析等。计算方法包含有空间离散方法、代数方程和非定常方程(包括时间离散)的求解方法。这里涉及到的离散方法有有限差分方法、有限体积方法、有限元方法和谱方法。这些都是已经成熟和具有普适性的方法。书中描述了构造这些方法的基本思想,重点是有限差分方法。书中的后四章是针对各种物理问题讲述计算方法。这里包含低速不可压和高速可压缩流体运动数值模拟的计算方法和网格生成技术。着重阐述了针对不同物理问题的特征对计算方法精度的要求,及构造不同计算方法的基本思想,且给出了一些简单物理问题的数值模拟结果,以证实计算方法的有效性。

In the hybrid approach of large-eddy simulation (LES) and Lighthill’s acoustic analogy for turbulence-generated sound, the turbulence source fields are obtained using an LES and the turbulence-generated sound at far fields is calculated from Lighthill’s acoustic analogy. As only the velocity fields at resolved scales are available from the LES, the Lighthill stress tensor, serving as a source term in Lighthill’s acoustic equation, has to be evaluated from the resolved velocity fields. As a result, the contribution from the unresolved velocity fields is missing in the conventional LES. The sound of missing scales is shown to be important and hence needs to be modeled. The present study proposes a kinematic subgrid-scale (SGS) model which recasts the unresolved velocity fields into Lighthill’s stress tensors. A kinematic simulation is used to construct the unresolved velocity fields with the imposed temporal statistics, which is consistent with the random sweeping hypothesis. The kinematic SGS model is used to calculate sound power spectra from isotropic turbulence and yields an improved result: the missing portion of the sound power spectra is approximately recovered in the LES.

A new high-order finite volume method based on local reconstruction is presented in this paper. The method, so-called the multi-moment constrained finite volume (MCV) method, uses the point values defined within single cell at equally spaced points as the model variables (or unknowns). The time evolution equations used to update the unknowns are derived from a set of constraint conditions imposed on multi kinds of moments, i.e. the cell-averaged value and the point-wise value of the state variable and its derivatives. The finite volume constraint on the cell-average guarantees the numerical conservativeness of the method. Most constraint conditions are imposed on the cell boundaries, where the numerical flux and its derivatives are solved as general Riemann problems. A multi-moment constrained Lagrange interpolation reconstruction for the demanded order of accuracy is constructed over single cell and converts the evolution equations of the moments to those of the unknowns. The presented method provides a general framework to construct efficient schemes of high orders. The basic formulations for hyperbolic conservation laws in 1- and 2D structured grids are detailed with the numerical results of widely used benchmark tests. (C) 2009 Elsevier Inc. An analytical formula for the cross-spectral density matrix of the electric field of anisotropic electromagnetic Gaussian-Schell model beams propagating in free space is derived by using a tensor method. The effects of coherence on those beams are studied. It is shown that two anisotropic stochastic electromagnetic beams that propagate from the source plane z = 0 into the half-space z > 0 may have different beam shapes (i.e., spectral density) and states of polarization in the half-space, even though they have the same beam shape and states of polarization in the source plane. This fact is due to a difference in the coherence properties of the field in the source plane. (C) 2007 Optical Society of America.

Static optical transmission is restudied by postulation of the optical path as the proper element in a three-dimensional Riemannian manifold (no torsion); this postulation can be applied to describe the light-medium interactive system. On the basis of the postulation, the behaviors of light transmitting through the medium with refractive index n are investigated, the investigation covering the realms of both geometrical optics and wave optics. The wave equation of light in static transmission is studied modally, the postulation being employed to derive the exact form of the optical field equation in a medium (in which the light is viewed as a single-component field). Correspondingly, the relationships concerning the conservation of optical fluid and the dynamic properties are given, and some simple applications of the theories mentioned are presented.

By generalization of the methods presented in Part I of the study [J. Opt. Soc. Am. A 12, 600 (1994)] to the four-dimensional (4D) Riemannian manifold case, the time-dependent behavior of light transmitting in a medium is investigated theoretically by the geodesic equation and curvature in a 4D manifold. In addition, the field equation is restudied, and the 4D conserved current of the optical fluid and its conservation equation are derived and applied to deduce the time-dependent general refractive index. On this basis the forces acting on the fluid are dynamically analyzed and the self-consistency analysis is given.

We investigate the chirality dependence of physical properties of nanotubes which are wrapped by the planar hexagonal lattice including graphite and boron nitride sheet, and reveal its symmetry origin. The observables under consideration are of scalar, vector, and tensor types. These exact chirality dependences obtained are useful to verify the experimental and numerical results and propose accurate empirical formulas. Some important features of physical quantities can also be extracted by considering the symmetry restrictions without complicated calculations.

We presented a series of symmetric double crystal X-ray diffraction (DCXD) measurements, (0 0 4), (2 2 0) and (2 - 2 0) diffraction, to investigate the strain relaxation in an InAs film grown on a GaAs(0 0 1) substrate. The strain tensor and rotation tensor were calculated according to the DCXD results. It is found that the misfit strain is relaxed nearly completely and the strain relaxation caused a triclinic deformation in the epilayer. The lattice parameter along the [1 1 0] direction is a little longer than that along the [1 - 1 0] direction. Furthermore, a significant tilt, 0.2 degrees, towards the [1 1 0] direction while a very slight one: 0.002 degrees, towards [1 - 1 0] direction were discussed. This anisotropic strain relaxation is attributed to the asymmetric distribution of misfit dislocations, which is also indicated by the variation of the full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) of (0 0 4) diffraction along four azimuth angles. In this paper, we propose a new approach to construct a 2-dimensional (2-D) directional filter bank (DFB) by cascading a 2-D nonseparable checkerboard-shaped filter pair and 2-D separable cosine modulated filter bank (CMFB). Similar to diagonal subbands in 2-D separable wavelets, most of the subbands in 2-D separable CMFBs, tensor products of two 1-D CMFBs, are poor in directional selectivity due to the fact that the frequency supports of most of the subband filters are concentrated along two different directions. To improve the directional selectivity, we propose a new DFB to realize the subband decomposition. First, a checkerboard-shaped filter pair is used to decompose an input image into two images containing different directional information of the original image. Next, a 2-D separable CMFB is applied to each of the two images for directional decomposition. The new DFB is easy in design and has merits: low redundancy ratio and fine directional-frequency tiling. As its application, the BLS-GSM algorithm for image denoising is extended to use the new DFBs. Experimental results show that the proposed DFB achieves better denoising performance than the methods using other DFBs for images of abundant textures. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

A novel and accurate finite volume method has been presented to solve the shallow water equations on unstructured grid in plane geometry. In addition to the volume integrated average (VIA moment) for each mesh cell, the point values (PV moment) defined on cell boundary are also treated as the model variables. The volume integrated average is updated via a finite volume formulation, and thus is numerically conserved, while the point value is computed by a point-wise Riemann solver. The cell-wise local interpolation reconstruction is built based on both the VIA and the PV moments, which results in a scheme of almost third order accuracy. Efforts have also been made to formulate the source term of the bottom topography in a way to balance the numerical flux function to satisfy the so-called C-property. The proposed numerical model is validated by numerical tests in comparison with other methods reported in the literature. (C) 2010 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

时空守恒元-解元(CE/SE)方法是近十年来发展起来的一种新的数值算法,最早是由NASALewis研究中心的Chang及其合作者提出的,后来由张增产和王刚等人对该方法进行了改进。理论和实际计算都证明该算法有很高的精度,特别擅长于求解守恒型方程。但是目前该算法只有少数几个版本的格式,这是因为为了保证全局时空守恒,现有格式都采用了在时间方向上相互交错的网格,这就大大限制了格式的灵活性。为此,本文对CE/SE方法进行了改进,得到了一种基于正位网格的局部时空守恒格式(LSTC)。该格式在应用中变得更简洁,最重要的是为时空守恒格式的发展提供了新的思路。不仅如此,该格式还继承了CE/SE方法几乎所有的特点和优点:1.将时间和空间统一起来同等对待;2.把流场物理量及其空间导数作为独立未知量同时求解;3.在推广到多维时无需使用算子分裂或方向交替技术,是一种真正意义上的多维算法;4.捕捉激波不需要Riemann求解器,激波分辨率高,在间断处能有效抑制非物理振荡。

The hydraulic conductivity function of fractures is a key scientific question to describe and reveal the process and the role of water seepage reasonably. In this paper, the generation technology of random fracture network and the latest numerical computation method for equivalent permeability tensor of fracture network are applied to analyze the landslide located at Wangjiayuanzi in Wanzhou District of Chongqing by simulating the changes of the seepage field caused by the running of the Three Gorges Reservoir. The influences of the fracture seepage on the seepage field and stability of the landslide were discussed with emphasis. The results show that the fractures existing in the soil increase the permeability coefficient of the landslide body and reduce the delay time of the underground water level in the landslide which fluctuates relative to the water level of reservoir,that causes the safe coefficient of the slope changes more gently than that of the same slope without fractures. It means, if only water level fluctuating condition is concerned, the fractures existing in the soil plays a positive role to the stability of slopes.
