A deep binary silicon grating as high-extinction-ratio reflective polarizing beam splitter (PBS) at the wavelength of 1550 nm is presented. The design is based on the phenomenon of total internal reflection (TIR) by using the rigorous coupled wave analysis (RCWA). The extinction ratio of the rectangular PBS grating can reach 2.5×105 with the optimum grating period of 397 nm and groove depth of 1.092 μm. The effciencies of TM-polarized wave in the 0th order and TE-polarized wave in the −1st order can both reach unity at the Littrow angle. Holographic recording technology and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) etching could be used to fabricate the silicon PBS grating.

Cr~(2+):ZnSe具有很宽的吸收带和发射带,是中红外波段优秀的可调谐激光材料。从吸收光谱、发射光谱以及角度调谐输出对Cr~(2+):ZnSe晶体的激光输出性能进行了研究。采用真空高温扩散法制备Cr~(2+):ZnSe晶体.获得了高浓度的Cr~(2+)离子掺杂的厚1.7 mm,直径10 mm的薄片ZnSe晶体。使用中心波长2.05μm,最大输出功率8 W的Tm离子掺杂的光纤激光器抽运,使用平凹腔结构搭建谐振腔,获得了最大平均功率1.034 W,中心波长2.367μm,线宽10 nm的连续激光输出。利用角度调谐的方法,对Cr:ZnSe晶体的调谐性能进行了研究,在100 nm范围内获得了调谐输出。

2μm激光器由于其在遥感、雷达和医疗等领域具有重要的应用前景而受到越来越广泛的重视。Tm3+具有长的荧光寿命,且其吸收带与商用的激光二极管相匹配。YAP具有与YAG近似的机械和热性能,其双折射特性使得Tm:YAP激光器可以直接得到线偏振的激光输出,并且可以降低热退偏效应。795nm连续抽运光经透镜组耦合进薄片板条1mm×5mm晶体端面,采用平凹腔结构,分析比较了1%,4%和5%掺杂浓度的Tm:YAP的激光特性。

报道了一种MOPA式国产单频光纤放大器。该放大器采用连续波单频激光器作为主振荡器,采用我国自行设计和制造的大模场面积掺Yb双包层光纤作为功率放大器,在波长1064 nm处实现了最高7.3 W的连续激光输出,斜率效率为39%,光-光转换效率为26%。此外,对光谱特性及放大的自发发射的抑制也进行了探讨。

以短的高掺杂浓度的掺铥硅基光纤为增益介质,采用790 nm波长的激光二极管(LD)为抽运源,得到了波长为2 μm的高功率激光输出。当光纤长度为7 cm时,激光器的阈值泵浦功率为135 mW,最大输出功率为1.09 W,斜率效率为9.6%(相对于耦合进光纤的抽运功率)。该激光器的输出稳定性在5%以内。此外,我们还观察分析了工作温度和其他腔结构参量对该激光器工作性能的影响。

We demonstrate passive Q-switching of short-length double-clad Tm3+-doped silica fiber lasers near 2 mu m pumped by a laser diode array (LDA) at 790 nm. Polycrystalline Cr2+:ZnSe microchips with thickness from 0.3 to 1 mm are adopted as the Q-switching elements. Pulse duration of 120 ns, pulse energy over 14 mu] and repetition rate of 53 kHz are obtained from a 5-cm long fiber laser. As high as 530 kHz repetition rate is achieved from a 50-cm long fiber laser at similar to 10-W pump power. 研究了卤化铅调整Tm^3+/Yb^3+共掺碲酸盐玻璃的热稳定性能、Raman光谱和上转换发光光谱,分析了Tm^3+/Yb^3+共掺氧卤碲酸盐玻璃的上转换发光机理.结果发现:混合卤化铅调整Tm^3+/Yb^3+共掺碲酸盐玻璃具有好的热稳定性能、低的声子能量、强的上转换蓝光.这表明混合卤化铅调整Tm^3+/Yb^3+共掺碲酸盐玻璃是一种上转换蓝光激光器的潜在基质材料.

制备了一种新的Er^3+/Tm^3+/Yb^3+共掺氧卤碲酸盐玻璃。研究了基质玻璃的热稳定性能、Raman光谱和上转换发光。发现:氧卤碲酸盐玻璃具有好的热稳定性能和低的声子能量,在980nmLD激发下,可同时观察到明显的蓝色(476nm)、绿色(530nm和545nm)和红色(656nm)上转换发光。上转换蓝光(476nm)是由于Tm^3+离子1^G4→3^3H6跃迁,上转换的绿光(530nm和545nm)是由于Er^3+离子2^H11/2→4^I15/2和4^S3/2→4^I15/2跃迁,上转换红光(6
