本文新种部分,记述了分布在横断山地区、台湾以及苏门答腊、菲律宾等地果蝇科的新种55种,异物同名3种。在果蝇属果蝇亚属的伊米果蝇种组建立了一个新的种复组-弯头果蝇种亚组(Drosophila curviceps species subgroup);在quadrilineata种亚组内建立了一个新的种复组-背条果蝇种复组(Drosophila notostriata species-complex)。对横断山地区的果蝇进行研究,计有119个种,主要由东洋种、古北种、特有种和广布种组成;对其渊源关系进行分析。运用分支分类学的观点和方法对伊米果蝇种组中5个种亚组间的系统发育进行研究显示,hypocausta种亚组最原始,位地分支图的最底部,是外群向伊米果蝇种组过渡的一个类群,进化中心在热带的苏门答腊及其附近;其次分化的immigrans种亚组其进化中心仍在热带的苏门答腊及其附近;但该亚组的特种逐渐向北扩散,在中国云南的西双版纳及其附近地区形成次级进化中心。伊米果蝇种组总的进化方向是从热带向温带的逐渐演化。

The reactions pi(-)p -> eta n and gamma p -> eta p are investigated within a dynamical coupled-channels model of meson production reactions in the nucleon resonance region The meson-baryon channels included are pi N, pi Delta, sigma N, and rho N The direct eta-photoproduction process is studied within a formalism based on a chiral constituent quark model approach, complemented with a one-gluon-exchange mechanism, to take into account the breakdown of the SU(6)circle times O(3) symmetry In the models search, the following known nucleon resonances are embodied S-11(1535), S-11(1650), P-11(1440), P-11(1710), P-13(1720), D-13(1520), D-13(1700), D-15(1675), and F-15(1680). Data for the pi(-)p -> eta n reaction from threshold up to a total center-of-mass energy of W approximate to 2 GeV are satisfactorily reproduced For the photoproduction channel: two additional higher mass known resonances, P-13(1900) and F-15(2000), are also considered However, reproducing the data for gamma p -> eta p requires, within our approach, two new nucleon resonances, for which we extract, mass and width

A formalism based on a chiral quark model (chi QM) approach complemented with a one-gluon-exchange model, to take into account the breakdown of the SU(6)circle times O(3) symmetry, is presented. The configuration mixing of wave functions for nucleon and resonances are derived. With few adjustable parameters, differential cross-section and polarized-beam asymmetry for the gamma p -> eta p process are calculated and successfully compared with the data in the center-of-mass energy range from threshold to 2 GeV. The known resonances S-11(1535), S-11(1650), P-13(1720), D-13(1520), and F-15(1680), as well as two new S-11 and D-15 resonances, are found to be dominant in the reaction mechanism. Moreover, connections among the scattering amplitudes of the chi QM approach and the helicity amplitudes, as well as decay widths of resonances, are established. Possible contributions from the so-called missing resonances are investigated and found to be negligible.

A chiral constituent quark model approach, embodying s- and u-channel exchanges, complemented with a Reggeized treatment for the t channel is presented. A model is obtained allowing data for pi(-)p ->eta n and gamma p ->eta p to be described satisfactorily. For the latter reaction, recently released data by the CLAS and CBELSA/TAPS Collaborations in the system total energy range 1.6 less than or similar to W less than or similar to 2.8 GeV are well reproduced by the inclusion of Reggeized trajectories instead of simple. and. poles. The contribution from "missing" resonances, with masses below 2 GeV, is found to be negligible in the considered processes.

Terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism (T-RFLP) analysis is a polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-fingerprinting method that is commonly used for comparative microbial community analysis. The method can be used to analyze communities of bacteria, archaea, fungi, other phylogenetic groups or subgroups, as well as functional genes. The method is rapid, highly reproducible, and often yields a higher number of operational taxonomic units than other, commonly used PCR-fingerprinting methods. Sizing of terminal restriction fragments (T-RFs) can now be done using capillary sequencing technology allowing samples contained in 96- or 384-well plates to be sized in an overnight run. Many multivariate statistical approaches have been used to interpret and compare T-RFLP fingerprints derived from different communities. Detrended correspondence analysis and the additive main effects with multiplicative interaction model are particularly useful for revealing trends in T-RFLP data. Due to biases inherent in the method, linking the size of T-RFs derived from complex communities to existing sequence databases to infer their taxonomic position is not very robust. This approach has been used successfully, however, to identify and follow the dynamics of members within very simple or model communities. The T-RFLP approach has been used successfully to analyze the composition of microbial communities in soil, water, marine, and lacustrine sediments, biofilms, feces, in and on plant tissues, and in the digestive tracts of insects and mammals. The T-RFLP method is a user-friendly molecular approach to microbial community analysis that is adding significant information to studies of microbial populations in many environments.

We propose the exploding-reflector method to simulate a monostatic survey with a single simulation. The exploding reflector, used in seismic modeling, is adapted for ground-penetrating radar (GPR) modeling by using the analogy between acoustic and electromagnetic waves. The method can be used with ray tracing to obtain the location of the interfaces and estimate the properties of the medium on the basis of the traveltimes and reflection amplitudes. In particular, these can provide a better estimation of the conductivity and geometrical details. The modeling methodology is complemented with the use of the plane-wave method. The technique is illustrated with GPR data from an excavated tomb of the nineteenth century.

High-density polyethylene with shish-kebab structure, prepared by a melt extrusion drawing, was employed to investigate the effect of the well-defined lamellar orientation on the deformation characteristics under uniaxial tensile deformation along the drawing direction. This was done by investigating the true stress-true strain dependencies at different strain rates, recovery properties, and stress relaxation measurements. Measurements were complemented by recording in-situ wide-angle X-ray scattering patterns during the deformation process. The oriented samples showed not only a higher modulus, but different from analogous isotropic samples, a homogeneous deformation without necking. The true strain associated with the onset of fibrillation was determined. Because of the preorientation, it is shifted to 0.3, which is below the value 0.6 of the isotropic counterpart. The main finding is a strong enhancement of the Viscous force, as was revealed by stress relaxation experiments; the viscous force takes up 70% of the total stress. The presence of shish-kebabs, i.e., interconnected lamellae in a stack, seems to be responsible for the high viscous force in the oriented samples. The absence of necking has to be ascribed to the high viscous force.

MEP is a member of thioester-containing protein (TEP) family found in Zhikong scallop Chlamys farreri and is involved in innate immunity against invading microbes. In the present study, the genomic DNA of CfTEP was cloned and characterized. The genomic DNA sequence of CfTEP consisted of 40 exons and 39 introns spanning 35 kb with all exon-intron junction sequences agreeing with the GT/AG consensus. The genomic organization of CfTEP was similar to human and mouse 0 rather than ciona C3-1 and Drosophila dTEP2. By RT-PCR technique, seven different cDNA variants of CfTEP (designated as CfTEP-A-CfTEP-G) were cloned from scallop gonad. CfTEP-A-CfTEP-F were produced by alternative splicing of six mutually exclusive exons (exons 19-24), respectively, which encoded the highly variable central region. While in CfTEP-G, the deletion of all the six exons introduced a new translation stop site and might trigger nonsense mediated decay (NMD). The mRNA expression and the proportion of the seven CfTEP variant transcripts were examined in the gonad of scallops after bacterial challenge. The fragments containing the highly variable central region of UTEP were amplified by RT-PCR and a 100 positive clones were sequenced randomly. The expression profiles of the seven MEP variants were different and displayed the sex and bacteria dependent manner. In the blank, sea water and Listonella anguillarum challenged subgroups of male scallops, all the transcripts detected were CfTEP-G isoform. In the Micrococcus luteus challenged subgroup, the isoforms expressed and their proportions were CfTEP-F (54%), CfTEP-B (23%), CfTEP-A (10%), CfTEP-C (7%) and CfTEP-E (6%). However, in the gonad of female scallops, only CfTEP-A were found in blank and sea water challenged subgroups. After L anguillarum or M. luteus challenge, four and five isoforms were detected, respectively, with CfTEP-F isoform being the most one in the both subgroups. These results suggested that the evolution of TEP genes was very complex, and that the diverse CfTEP transcripts generated by alternative splicing played an important role as pattern recognition receptors in the innate immune defense of scallops. Volcanic rocks from the northern and middle Okinawa Trough were dated by uranium-series dating method. Differential fractions using magnetic procedure were designed to separate samples. New report on the ages and isotopic data of rocks in the northern trough (especially black pumice) was discussed. Based on the uranium dates and Sr-Nd isotopic ratio, magmatic evolution process of the Okinawa Trough was noted. Firstly, there have been wide silicic volcanic activities in the Okinawa Trough from late Pleistocene to present, and the volcanic rocks can be divided into three subgroups. Secondly, magma generally came from PREMA source area under the Okinawa Trough. Magmatic evolution in the northern trough was similar to the middle, but different to the south. Finally, volcanic activities indicated that opening of the southern Okinawa Trough did not happen due to the collision between Luson Arc and Eurasian Plate until the early Pleistocene.

How coniferous trees in northern China changed their distribution ranges in response to Quaternary climatic oscillations remains largely unknown. Here we report a study of the phylogeography of Pinus tabulaeformis, an endemic and dominant species of coniferous forest in northern China. We examined sequence variation of maternally inherited, seed-dispersed mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) (nad5 intron 1 and nad4/3-4) and paternally inherited, pollen- and seed-dispersed chloroplast DNA (cpDNA) (rpl16 and trnS-trnG) within and among 30 natural populations across the entire range of the species. Six mitotypes and five chlorotypes were recovered among 291 trees surveyed. Population divergence was high for mtDNA variation (G(ST) = 0.738, N-ST = 0.771) indicating low levels of seed-based gene flow and significant phylogeographical structure (N-ST > G(ST), P < 0.05). The spatial distribution of mitotypes suggests that five distinct population groups exist in the species: one in the west comprising seven populations, a second with a north-central distribution comprising 15 populations, a third with a southern and easterly distribution comprising five populations, a fourth comprising one central and one western population, and a fifth comprising a single population located in the north-central part of the species' range. Each group apart from the fourth group is characterized by a distinct mitotype, with other mitotypes, if present, occurring at low frequency. It is suggested, therefore, that most members of each group apart from Group 4 are derived from ancestors that occupied different isolated refugia in a previous period of range fragmentation of the species, possibly at the time of the Last Glacial Maximum. Possible locations for these refugia are suggested. A comparison of mitotype diversity between northern and southern subgroups within the north-central group of populations (Group 2) showed much greater uniformity in the northern part of the range both within and between populations. This could indicate a northward migration of the species from a southern refugium in this region during the postglacial period, although alternative explanations cannot be ruled out. Two chlorotypes were distributed across the geographical range of the species, resulting in lower levels of among-population chlorotype variation. The geographical pattern of variation for all five chlorotypes provided some indication of the species surviving past glaciations in more than one refugium, although differentiation was much less marked, presumably due to the greater dispersal of cpDNA via pollen.

As a complement to conventional MT, Long-period Magnetotellurics (LMT) has been developed at low frequency for soundings of deep electric structures. Eastern Himalayan Syntaxis (EHS) and surrounding area is a key place for the study of dynamics of the uplift of Tibetan plateau. Experiments in the pioneer studies for EHS3D project showed that the study area shares an unusual low resistive crust and upper mantle. Conventional MT could not provide sufficient information about the deep structures of the study area that requested long period MT measurement to be complemented. This thesis presents the LMT studies in eastern Tibet along the EHS3D-3 Profile from Xiachayu to Yushu including data acquisition, processing, inversion and interpretation. The effective period of the measured LMT signals extend from 10s up to 30000s for the duration more than one week measurement. The resulting model shows that the LMT sounding coincides with the MT data in overlapped periods. Especially the induction arrows and tippers derived from LMT data provide more information about the base of the conductors beneath the plateau with higher resolution. Anomalous induction coefficients and 2-D model suggest extensive conductive bodies beneath Lhasa block and Qiangtang terrain which would be a possible evidence for partial melt and fluids at depth.
