随着软件应用领域的不断扩展,社会对软件产品的需求也在急剧膨胀。经过近三十年的锤炼与积累的经验教训,软件组织已不再以开发出满足用户需求的产品作为唯一的项目成功目标,而是将控制预算、提高生产率、更有效利用资源等方面都列入了考虑范围。 对于软件组织而言,要获得组织整体的长远发展,需要实施量化项目管理、开发过程控制、持续过程改进等一系列措施,在项目的不同时期设立合理的控制点和决策点来指导和监控项目的进行情况。当前,全球性分布式开发、敏捷开发与开源代码开发等已经形成了软件开发的新趋势;同时,大型软件企业在选择外包承接商时需要考虑众多因素,包括软件开发过程因素、人员因素、产品技术因素等多项可以为他们的决策提供辅助支持的信息。软件项目相关的决策支持除了组织内部需求以外,也存在于其他场景。例如,政府在进行软件资助项目挑选时、在购买合同软件时,也需要更客观更严谨的对这些项目予以评价并作出决策。 而种种这些软件行业的决策支持所需要的信息主要借鉴两方面信息源,一方面是在行业或市场背景下的软件组织所积累的特征和经验数据,另一方面是来自学术研究领域的相关理论和模型的支持。正是在这样的应用环境下,软件工程领域的经验研究在过去的二十多年里逐渐兴起(最后演变为“经验软件工程”这个独立的研究方向),它强调从实际观察和历史数据中挖掘信息或设计一定的实验来进行对已有理论与模型的验证与推进。 本文以经验软件工程领域的研究特征为基础,提出了一种问题驱动的经验研究方法框架,以及遵循这个研究框架进行的实例化经验研究。其中主要的独创性内容包括: 提出了一种问题驱动的经验软件工程研究方法框架QD-ESE (Question-Driven Empirical Software Engineering),其结构上由开发实践层、经验研究层、经验管理层三个部分组成。在经验研究步骤的进行过程中,融合经验软件工程的研究成果,通过三个部分的交互,实现经验研究所需信息支持与利用、数据分析、知识提取与经验积累等工作。 通过对QD-ESE框架的实例化应用,实现了针对工作量分布的经验研究,分析了市场演变等五个维度对产品演化项目中工作量分布的影响。该实例是针对软件项目中对工作量阶段分布预测的困难而提出的。其中基于某组织系列版本的产品开发数据,从市场演变、产品内容、开发过程、开发团队与采用技术五个维度,分析了它们对各版本项目中的工作量分布的具体影响,为开发组织在项目中的工作量阶段分配提炼并积累了可以借鉴的实际经验。 在针对生产率的经验研究实例中,得到对中国软件行业生产率整体状况的调查结果,并发掘出开发类型、业务领域、团队规模等多个影响生产率差异的显著因素。该实例研究是在中国软件行业缺乏产业数据及相应的重要指标基准问题的实际背景下提出的,尤其针对产品演化项目。遵循QD-ESE研究框架,并基于首次发布并可用的中国软件基准组数据,对软件开发生产率的影响因子进行了分析,为软件组织在提高生产率和改善开发过程方面提供了有价值的数据、信息和建议。 最后,QD-ESE研究框架在针对软件成本估算的经验研究实例中进一步得到应用,提出了一套针对政府软件合同定价的估算建模方法并在政府资助等实际项目中予以应用。该实例是在分析政府在软件项目合同定价中遇到的挑战并发现软件成本预算与核算中问题的实际背景下提出的。最终,提出了针对政府软件合同定价的COGOMO成本估算模型(COnstructive GOvernment cost MOdel)。

Neutron induced defect levels in high resistivity silicon detectors have been studied using a current-based macroscopic defect analysis system: thermally stimulated current (TSC) and current deep level transient spectroscopy (I-DLTS). These studies have been correlated to the traditional C-V, I-V, and transient current and charge techniques (TCT/TChT) after neutron radiation and subsequent thermal anneals. It has been found that the increases of the space charge density, N-eff, in irradiated detectors after thermal anneals (N-eff reverse anneal) correspond to the increases of deep levels in the silicon bandgap. In particular, increases of the double vacancy center (V-V and V-V-- -) and/or C-i-O-i level have good correlations with the N-eff reverse anneal. It has also been observed that the leakage current of highly irradiated (Phi(n) > 10(13) n/cm(2)) detectors increases after thermal anneals, which is different from the leakage current annealing behavior of slightly irradiated (Phi(n) < 10(13) n/cm(2)) detectors. It is apparent that V-V center and/or C-i-O-i level play important roles in both N-eff and leakage current degradations for highly irradiated high resistivity silicon detectors.

In commissioning the HIRFL-CSR (Cooler Storage Ring of Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou),with the spectrum analyzer monitoring the beams on-line, we measured many parameters of the beam status for improving quality of the heavy ion beams. In this paper, the sudden change of the beam center frequency is analyzed.A theoretical analysis is done mainly on instabilities of the electron voltage and the neutralization factor. Simulations were made for the problem. According to the simulation result, we can conclude that it is the instability of neutralization factor that caused the problem. 中文摘要:HIRFL-CSR调试过程中,利用频谱分析仪实时监测束流,根据其上测的数据进行相关参数调整,改善束流的品质。本文对分析仪上观测到的现象一束流的中心频率发生突变进行了研究,主要就电子束的高压不稳定性和中性化因子的突变做了理论分析,并进行了相关的模拟计算 ,根据模拟结果初步断定该现象的出现由电子束的中性化因子导致。

CSR(cooling storage ring)按计划将于2005年底建成调束,届时从~(12)C到~(238)U的重离子将可以分别被加速到900和400MeV的能量。HIRFL(兰州重离子加速器Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou)将用作CSR的注入器。为了CSR的屏蔽设计,本文利用现有的实验数据计算了由于束流损失产生的中子及其能谱、角分布,同时也估算了屏蔽体外表面的中子剂量、环境中子剂量及天空返照中子剂量。在源项计算中使用了400MeV/u~(12)C+Cu反应的中子产额、能谱、角分布的实验数据。计算表明,CSR对环境剂量影响最大的是天空返照中子。

The magnet design, fabrication, and measurement of HIRFL-CSR (Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou Cooling Storage Ring) are presented. All magnets will be laminated And welded with an armor-coated surface between two big endplates made of sticking glue 0.5 mm-thick sheets. The dipole of CSRm was chosen an H type with an air circle on the pole to improve the field uniformity. The dipole of CSRe was chosen the C type with an air circle and two air slots on the pole to improve the field homogeneity. Its reproducibility of magnet to magnet was adjusted with inserting small laminating pieces before demountable pole ends to reach less than +/- 2 x 10(-4) at optimized field level. CSRm quadrupoles diameter is 170 mm and has two different lengths, and its endplates were made with punching pieces after coating with epoxy glue, there is chamfered directly on the pole ends to reduce 12th-order contribution of field and without the demountable pole ends. CSRe main quadrupoles diameter is 240 mm and has two different lengths, and its endplates were also made with punching pieces coated with epoxy glue, there is also chamfered directly on the pole ends to reduce 12th-order contribution of field like CSRm.

Uranium ion beams were produced from electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) ion sources by sputtering method this year at the Institute of Modern Physics. At first, we chose the Lanzhou ECR No. 3 ion source to implement the production experiment of U ion beams. Finally, 11 e mu A of U28+, 5 e mu A of U32+, and 1.5 e mu A of U35+ were obtained. A U26+ ion beam produced by the LECR2 ion source was accelerated successfully by the cyclotron. This means that the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL) has accomplished the acceleration of the ion beam of the heaviest element according to the designed parameters. The Lanzhou ECR ion source No. 2 (LECR2), which was built in 1997, has served the HIRFL for eight years and needed to be upgraded to provide more intense high charge state ion beams for HIRFL cooling storage ring. We started the upgrading project of LECR2 last year, and the modified design just has been finished. (c) 2006 American Institute of Physics.

The micro-beam irradiation system, which focuses the beam down to micron order and precisely delivers a predefined number of ions to a predefined spot of micron order, is a powerful tool for radio-biology, radio-biomedicine and micromachining. The Institute of Modern Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences is developing a heavy-ion microbeam irradiation system up to intermediate energy. Based on the intermediate and low energy beam provided by Heavy Ion Research Facility of Lanzhou, the micro-beam system takes the form of the magnetic focusing. The heavy-ion beam is conducted to the basement by a symmetrical achromatic system consisting of two vertical bending magnets and a quadrupole in between. Then a beam spot of micron order is formed by a magnetic triplet quadrupole of very high gradient. The sample can be irradiated either in vacuum or in the air. This system will be the first opening platform capable of providing heavy ion micro-beam, ranging from low (10MeV/u) to intermediate energy (100MeV/u), for irradiation experiment with positioning and counting accuracy. Target material may be biology cell, tissue or other non-biological materials. It will be a help for unveiling the essence of heavy-ion interaction with matter and also a new means for exploring the application of heavy-ion irradiation.

This study is aimed at observing the apoptosis and Bcl-2/Bax gene expression of mammalian cells following heavy-ion and X-ray irradiations. Exponentially growing human hepatoma SMMC-7721 cells cultured in vitro were irradiated with a C-12 ion beam of 50 MeV/u (corresponding to a LET value of 44.56 keV/mu m) from Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL) at doses varying from 0 to 3 Gy. The X-ray irradiation (8 MV) was performed in the therapy unit of the General Hospital of the Lanzhou Military Area. Survival fractions of irradiated cells at various doses were measured by means of MTT assay. Apoptotic cells after irradiation were analyzed with fluorescence microscope and flow cytometer (FCM). Immuno-histological assay were applied to detect the expression of Bcl-2/Bax genes in the irradiated cells. The survival fraction of SMMC-7721 cells decreased gradually (vs. control p<0.05) with increasing the dose of the carbon ion beam more obviously than X-ray irradiation, and the carbon ion irradiation efficiently induced cell apoptosis and significantly promoted the expression of Bax gene while Bcl-2 gene expression was restrained. High-LET heavy ion beam would induce cell apoptosis effectively than low-LET X-ray, and the apoptosis rate is correlated with the transcription of Bcl-2/Bax and the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax in human hepatoma SMMC-7721 cells after irradiation to heavy ion beam.

A Superconducting ECR ion source with Advanced design in Lanzhou (SECRAL) was successfully built to produce intense beams of highly charged ions for Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL). The ion source has been optimized to be operated at 28GHz for its maximum performance. The superconducting magnet confinement configuration of the ion source consists of three axial solenoid coils and six sextupole coils with a cold iron structure as field booster and clamping. For 28GHz operation, the magnet assembly can produce peak mirror fields on axis 3.6T at injection, 2.2T at extraction and a radial sextupole field of 2.0T at plasma chamber wall. A unique feature of SECRAL is that the three axial solenoid coils are located inside of the sextupole bore in order to reduce the interaction forces between the sextupole coils and the solenoid coils. During the ongoing commissioning phase at 18GHz with a stainless steel chamber, tests with various gases and some metals have been conducted with microwave power less than 3.2kW and it turned out the performance is very promising. Some record ion beam intensities have been produced, for instance, 810e mu A of O7+, 505e mu A of Xe20+, 306e mu A of Xe27+, 21e mu A of Xe34+, 2.4e mu A of Xe38+ and so on. To reach better results for highly charged ion beams, further modifications such as an aluminium chamber with better cooling, higher microwave power and a movable extraction system will be done, and also emittance measurements are being prepared.

With the construction of the neutron detection wall at the external target position on Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou-Cooling Storage Ring (HIRFL-CSR), it will be possible to detect high energy neutron. A BUU model is applied to simulate the flow in both symmetric (Ni+Ni, Pb+Pb) and asymmetric(Pb+Ni) systems. It is shown that at above several hundreds MeV/u, the flow signals are very obvious and depend clearly on the centrality of the collisions. Based on the products in the forward angle less than 20 degrees, the simulation also reveals that the determination of the reaction plane and the selection of the impact parameter, both of which are essential in the flow measurement, are well implemented. The double event and its influence on the determination of the neutron flow are also simulated.

With the commissioning of the Cooler Storage Ring at the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL-CSR), a pilot experiment operating the CSRe in isochronous mode to test the power of HIRFL-CSR for measuring the mass of the short-lived nucleus was performed in December of 2007. The transition point gamma t of CSRe in isochronous mode is 1.395 which corresponds to the energy about 368 MeV/u for the ions with atomic number-to-charge ratio A/q = 2. The fragments with A/q = 2 of Ar-36 were injected into CSRe and their revolution frequencies were measured with a fast time pick-up detector with a thin foil in the circulating path of the ions. A mass resolution of better than 105 for m/Delta m was achieved.

There has been increasing demand to provide higher beam intensity and high enough beam energy for heavy ion accelerator and some other applications, which has driven electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) ion source to produce higher charge state ions with higher beam intensity. One of development trends for highly charged ECR ion source is to build new generation ECR sources by utilization of superconducting magnet technology. SECRAL (superconducting ECR ion source with advanced design in Lanzhou) was successfully built to produce intense beams of highly charged ion for Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL). The ion source has been optimized to be operated at 28 GHz for its maximum performance. An innovative design of SECRAL is that the three axial solenoid coils are located inside of the sextupole bore in order to reduce the interaction forces between the sextupole coils and the solenoid coils. For 28 GHz operation, the magnet assembly can produce peak mirror fields on axis of 3.6 T at injection, 2.2 T at extraction, and a radial sextupole field of 2.0 T at plasma chamber wall. During the commissioning phase at 18 GHz with a stainless steel chamber, tests with various gases and some metals have been conducted with microwave power less than 3.5 kW by two 18 GHz rf generators. It demonstrates the performance is very promising. Some record ion beam intensities have been produced, for instance, 810 e mu A of O7+, 505 e mu A of Xe20+ 306 e mu A of Xe27+, and so on. The effect of the magnetic field configuration on the ion source performance has been studied experimentally. SECRAL has been put into operation to provide highly charged ion beams for HIRFL facility since May 2007.

A linear accelerator as a new injector for the SSC (Separated Sector Cyclotron) of the HIRFL (Heavy ton Research Facility Lanzhou) is being designed. The DTL (Drift-Tube-Linac) has been designed to accelerate U-238(34+) from 0.140 MeV/u to 0.97 MeV/u. To the first accelerating tank which accelerates U-238(34+) to 0.54 MeV/u, the approach of Alternating-Phase-Focusing (APF) is applied. The phase array is obtained by coupling optimization software Dakota and beam optics code LINREV. With the hybrid of Multi-objective Genetic Algorithm (MOGA) and a pattern search method, an optimum array of asynchronous phases is determined. The final growth, both transversely and longitudinally, can meet the design requirements. In this paper, the deign optimization of the APF DTL is presented.

For radiation protection purposes, the neutron dose in carbon ion radiation therapy at the HIRFL (Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou) was investigated. The neutron dose from primary C-12 ions with a specific energy of 100 MeV/u delivered from SSC was roughly measured with a standard Anderson-Broun rem-meter using a polyethylene target at various distances. The result shows that a maximum neutron dose contribution of 19 mSv in a typically surface tumor treatment was obtained, which is less than 1% of the planed heavy ion dose and is in reasonable agreement with other reports. Also the gamma-ray dose was measured in this experiment using a thermo luminescent detector.
