Search of symmetric composition methods of symmetric integrators

Composition methods are useful when solving Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs) as they increase the order of accuracy of a given basic numerical integration scheme. We will focus on sy-mmetric composition methods involving some basic second order symmetric integrator with different step sizes [17]. The introduction of symmetries into these methods simplifies the order conditions and reduces the number of unknowns. Several authors have worked in the search of the coefficients of these type of methods: the best method of order 8 has 17 stages [24], methods of order 8 and 15 stages were given in [29, 39, 40], 10-order methods of 31, 33 and 35 stages have been also found [24, 34]. In this work some techniques that we have built to obtain 10-order symmetric composition methods of symmetric integrators of s = 31 stages (16 order conditions) are explored. Given some starting coefficients that satisfy the simplest five order conditions, the process followed to obtain the coefficients that satisfy the sixteen order conditions is provided.

Métodos cuantitativos versus métodos cualitativos en la economía de los Negocios. ¿Es una metodología reconciliable?

Changes in the organizational environment over the last three decades have increasingly led to traditional theories being called into question, by stimulating the search for new models suited to the new realities of business economics, generating a crisis or scientific revolution that may result in the appearance of a new paradigm. The positivism-phenomenology duality provokes an “epistemological crisis” in research in management sciences. But the existence of both approaches does not imply the election of one scientific orientation in frontal opposition to the other. From these two conceptions of research procedure, the methods applied can be classed into groups, quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative methodologies places great confidence in the ability of data and measurement to represent opinions or concepts, while qualitative methodologies focus on words and relations to describe a reality or situation. While the diversity of methods contribute to its development and indicates the maturity of an area, the methods must be suitably implemented to obtain significant, valid results. The methodology to be used is not going to depend solely on the type of study or the reality under examination, but also on the stage the research process has reached.

Selección de métodos de análisis de fatiga para ejes de transmisiones de máquinas.

[ES]Existe un elevado número de métodos para cálculos de fatiga en piezas sometidas a estados de tensiones multiaxiales. Cada método tiene un campo óptimo de aplicación: para materiales dúctiles, frágiles, estados con y sin tensiones medias, etc. En este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se trata de estudiar la precisión que proporcionan diferentes métodos de enfoque global (no de plano crítico) y comparar sus resultados a fin de decidir cuáles son los idóneos para los casos de carga más frecuentes en los ejes de transmisiones en automóviles.

Ekologia-datuak aztertzeko aldagai anitzeko analisiaren aplikazioa

[EUS] Aldagai anitzeko analisiak aplikazio ugari ditu zientzia esperimentaletan, hala nola biologian eta ekologian. Hala ere, ekologia-datuek zailtasun batzuk aurkezten dituzte estatistika-teknikak aplikatu ahal izateko. Gradu Amaierako Lan honetan, aldagai anitzeko analisiko teknika ezberdinetan sakonduko dugu eta ekologia-datuetan aplikatuko ditugu. Kasu bakoitzean dauden zailtasunak nabarmenduko ditugu eta estatistika-teknika egokiena aukeratzen saiatuko gara.
