Quantum Computing is a relatively modern field which simulates quantum computation conditions. Moreover, it can be used to estimate which quasiparticles would endure better in a quantum environment. Topological Quantum Computing (TQC) is an approximation for reducing the quantum decoherence problem1, which is responsible for error appearance in the representation of information. This project tackles specific instances of TQC problems using MOEAs (Multi-objective Optimization Evolutionary Algorithms). A MOEA is a type of algorithm which will optimize two or more objectives of a problem simultaneously, using a population based approach. We have implemented MOEAs that use probabilistic procedures found in EDAs (Estimation of Distribution Algorithms), since in general, EDAs have found better solutions than ordinary EAs (Evolutionary Algorithms), even though they are more costly. Both, EDAs and MOEAs are population-based algorithms. The objective of this project was to use a multi-objective approach in order to find good solutions for several instances of a TQC problem. In particular, the objectives considered in the project were the error approximation and the length of a solution. The tool we used to solve the instances of the problem was the multi-objective framework PISA. Because PISA has not too much documentation available, we had to go through a process of reverse-engineering of the framework to understand its modules and the way they communicate with each other. Once its functioning was understood, we began working on a module dedicated to the braid problem. Finally, we submitted this module to an exhaustive experimentation phase and collected results.

[EUS] Bizi ohitura osasuntsuak osatzen duten pautak ezartzea eta Portugaleteko kasura bideratzea da lan honen helburu nagusia. Horretarako, gaur egungo egoera zein den planteatu eta hobekuntzak proposatuko ditugu biztanleria aktiboagoa eta bizi ohitura osasuntsuagoak izateko asmoarekin. Portugaleteko jarduera fisiko eta kiroleko egoera aztertuko da, baita eskaintza eta udalaren jarduera maila ere, Portugaleteko kirol errealitatea zein den ezagutzeko helburuarekin. Lanaren datuak eta ondorioak testu inguratzeko, jarduera fisiko eta ohitura osasuntsuak osatzen duten kontzeptuei birpasa bat aurkeztuko dugu. Amaitzeko, Portugalete kasurako aplikagarriak diren proiektu batzuk proposatuko ditugu.

[EUS] Lan honen helburua egoera posturala eta bizkarreko minaren pertzepzioaren azterketa sakonagoa egitea da. Bizkarreko min zein desoreka posturalek gaur egun duten nagusitasuna ikusita, egoera azaleratu eta honen kausak zeintzuk diren ezagutu nahi dira. Honetarako UPV-EHUko Jarduera Fisikoaren eta Kirolaren Zientzien Fakultateko ikasleen (n=25) postura-aldaketak zein bizkarreko minaren magnitudea eta pertzepzioa nolakoak diren aztertuko ditugu. Egindako analisia longitudinala izan da. Ikasketetan sartu zirenean lehenengo neurketa egin zitzaien eta ikasketen azkeneko urtean azken neurketa. QPS-200 Shekel Posture Analyzer erremintari esker pisuaren banaketaren datu numerikoak lortu ditugu. Bizkarreko mina eta pertzepzioari dagozkienez, NASS osasun galdetegia erabili izan da. Posturaren neurketek erakutsi dutenez, bariazio handiena pertsonen artekoa da. Hetereogeneotasun handiena aurre-atze banaketak azaleratu duelarik, gehienbat lehenengo neurketan (2012: DS=9,33 begiak zabalik eta DS=9,99 begiak itxita; 2014: DS=7,37 begiak zabalik eta DS=7,94 begiak itxita). Aurkitu den efektu signifikatibo bakarra (p<0.05), bestalde, neurketa data da. Bizkarreko minaren pertzepzioak gora egin du urteak aurrera joan ahala (subjektuen %64 2012an; subjektuen %72 2014an) baina egunerokotasunean minak sortzen dituen zailtasunak behera egin du (%28 2012an; %20 2014an).

[EN]The purpose of this project is to design a system which improves the e ciency of power inverters. The project is focused in the analysis of the di erent power semiconductors (based on silicon, silicon carbide and gallium nitride) and driver applications. This system can be implemented in di erent future versions of power inverters and in many kind of applications like electrical vehicles. Other than that, it can be also implemented on any machinery requiring an inverter obtaining more energy and reduce manufacturing costs.

Al inicio del plan de tutorización que se ha llevado a cabo durante el presente curso 2014-2015, la idea que plantee, se relacionaba con aspectos del ámbito del entrenamiento de la actividad física, y más concretamente con el entrenamiento personal o personal coaching. Esta primera propuesta, debatida en las primeras reuniones con el tutor, fue descartada, y a posteriori, inicie un proceso de reflexión conjuntamente y bajo las directrices del tutor del trabajo, en el ámbito de la especificidad del trabajo de fuerza. Este trabajo de reflexión concluyó en la primera etapa del proceso de tutorización con la propuesta de un título provisional en relación al análisis comparado en los ejercicios de tracción con elementos elásticos y con carga fija, título inicial, que ha prefijado la estrategia del trabajo de fin de grado

Gradu Amaierako Lan honek mugikorren salerosketan jarduten duen Guremugikor S.L. fikziozko enpresaren 2014 ekitaldiko kontuen ikuskaritzaren prozesu osoa azaltzen du. Kontuen ikuskaritza burutuko duen auditorea Kepa Fernandez de Antona Garmendia da. Azken hau Kontabilitate eta Kontuen Ikuskaritza Institutuaren (ICAC) baimena duen pertsona fisikoa da eta Kontu Ikuskarien Erregistro Ofizialean (ROAC) inskribatua jardularien atalean. Era berean, Kepa Ekonomialari Ikuskarien Erregistroan (REA) inskribatuta dago. Ikuskaritzako lana egiteko aplikagarria izango den arautegia hurrengoa izango da: Kontuen Ikuskaritzaren Legea eta hau garatzen duen Araudia , ICAC-en Ebazpenak, ICAC-ek egokituriko Kontuen Ikuskaritzarako Nazioarteko Arauak (NIA-ES ) eta Kontuen Ikuskaritzarako Arau Teknikoak (NTA ), azken hauek NIA-ES-ak arautzen ez dituzten arloetan. Background: In this study we describe the clinical and molecular characteristics of an outbreak due to carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CR-KP) producing CTX-M-15 and OXA-48 carbapenemase. Isogenic strains, carbapenem-susceptible K. pneumoniae (CS-KP) producing CTX-M-15, were also involved in the outbreak. Results: From October 2010 to December 2012 a total of 62 CR-KP and 23 CS-KP were isolated from clinical samples of 42 patients (22 had resistant isolates, 14 had susceptible isolates, and 6 had both CR and CS isolates). All patients had underlying diseases and 17 of them (14 patients with CR-KP and 3 with CS-KP) had received carbapenems previously. The range of carbapenem MICs for total isolates were: imipenem: 2 to >32 mu g/ml vs. <2 mu g/ml; meropenem: 4 to >32 mu g/ml vs. <2 mu g/ml; and ertapenem: 8 to >32 mu g/ml vs. <2 mu g/ml. All the isolates were also resistant to gentamicin, ciprofloxacin, and cotrimoxazole. Both types of isolates shared a common PFGE pattern associated with the multilocus sequence type 101 (ST101). The bla(CTX-M-15) gene was detected in all the isolates, whereas the bla(OXA-48) gene was only detected in CR-KP isolates on a 70 kb plasmid. Conclusions: The clonal spread of K. pneumoniae ST101 expressing the OXA-48 and CTX-M-15 beta-lactamases was the cause of an outbreak of CR-KP infections. CTX-M-15-producing isolates lacking the blaOXA-48 gene coexisted during the outbreak.

Background: Limited information is available about predictors of short-term outcomes in patients with exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (eCOPD) attending an emergency department (ED). Such information could help stratify these patients and guide medical decision-making. The aim of this study was to develop a clinical prediction rule for short-term mortality during hospital admission or within a week after the index ED visit. Methods: This was a prospective cohort study of patients with eCOPD attending the EDs of 16 participating hospitals. Recruitment started in June 2008 and ended in September 2010. Information on possible predictor variables was recorded during the time the patient was evaluated in the ED, at the time a decision was made to admit the patient to the hospital or discharge home, and during follow-up. Main short-term outcomes were death during hospital admission or within 1 week of discharge to home from the ED, as well as at death within 1 month of the index ED visit. Multivariate logistic regression models were developed in a derivation sample and validated in a validation sample. The score was compared with other published prediction rules for patients with stable COPD. Results: In total, 2,487 patients were included in the study. Predictors of death during hospital admission, or within 1 week of discharge to home from the ED were patient age, baseline dyspnea, previous need for long-term home oxygen therapy or non-invasive mechanical ventilation, altered mental status, and use of inspiratory accessory muscles or paradoxical breathing upon ED arrival (area under the curve (AUC) = 0.85). Addition of arterial blood gas parameters (oxygen and carbon dioxide partial pressures (PO2 and PCO2)) and pH) did not improve the model. The same variables were predictors of death at 1 month (AUC = 0.85). Compared with other commonly used tools for predicting the severity of COPD in stable patients, our rule was significantly better. Conclusions: Five clinical predictors easily available in the ED, and also in the primary care setting, can be used to create a simple and easily obtained score that allows clinicians to stratify patients with eCOPD upon ED arrival and guide the medical decision-making process.
