Bibliographie des lagunes et du littoral de Côte d'Ivoire (Afrique de l'Ouest)

The present bibliography collects references on lagoon and coastal environments in Côte d'Ivoire. It is mainly based on: - the draft bibliography prepared by Charles-Dominique and Durand in 1979, edited in the Archives Scientifiques du Centre de Recherches Océanographiques d'Abidjan (vol. 5 no. 2); - the synthesis on the marine environment, published in 1993 (LeLoeuff, Marchal and Amon-Kothias editors); - and the synthesis on the lagoon environment, published in 1994 (Durand, Dufour, Guiral and Zabi editors). In spite of a careful check of the available documents, it is more than possible that references are lacking or erroneous. That's why this bibliography is still a draft, and the author will be glad to receive complements and/or corrections from lectors. Méthodes simples de determination du CO2 total et du carbone organique dissous en eau saumâtre

Total CO2 of brackish water (Ebrié lagoon) is measured with a simple method: degassing and trapping CO2 in NaOh solution, the conductivity of which is a function of the trapped CO2 quantity. A relation CO2 versus salinity is deduced; it is nearly the same as the one deduced from CO2 measurements performed from alkalinity. Dissolved organic C is evaluated with a CHN analyser by evaporating 0.5 ml of acidified sample. Variation coefficient is near 10% for the lagoon values.

Étude comparative de la macrofaune associée aux racines de Pistia stratiotes L. (Araceae) du lac de barrage d'Ayamé II et du fleuve Comoé (Côte d'Ivoire)

Abundance and species variations of the macrofauna associated with the roots of Pistia stratiotes of Ayamé II lake and Comoé river were studied during one year. Samples of plants were collected by hand once a month within a sampler of 1 m2 of surface.

Variations saisonnières des facteurs hydrologiques et du biovolume microalgal benthique au sein d'un habitat artificiel (acadja-enclos) dans la lagune Ebrié: site d'Adjapoté

This paper presents the results of a comparative study of chemical and physical characteristics (temperature, oxygen, salinity, turbidity, pH, nutrient: phosphates, nitrates, nitrites, ammoniac) within the extensive aquaculture structure (acadja-enclosure or artificial habitats for fishes) and in the surrounding water. Biological characteristics of the periphyton growing on bamboos from acadja-enclosure were also described.

Biomasses du phytoplancton et du zooplancton dans l'Atlantique tropical le long du méridien 1O' W (Résultats de la campagne Capricorne 7314)

The standing stock of chlorophyll, the quantities of copepods collected with a 30 liter Niskin bottle and the standing stock of zooplankton collected with a 'Bongo' net were measured from 0 to 200 m depth during a cruise along 10' W from 1' N to 12' S. These parameters are correlated to hydrological conditions measured simultaneously. 6 zonal areas have been delimited and described; the north equatorial convergence, the northern flow of the south equatorial counter-current, the trade winds drift, the south equatorial counter-current and the Benguela's drift.
