After having pointed out their distribution into several subfamilies, genera, and sub-genera of Pyramidellidae, this note describes 44 species of this family. Forty-two were collected by the author in the beach sands at Pho-Hai, near Phan-Thiet (South-Vietnam) and two were dredged off Phan-Thiet by the Nha-Trang Oceanographic Institute. Among these species twenty-one are new: Cossmannica champaensis, Odostomia (Odostomia) chamorum, O. (Megastomia) elata, O. (Megastomia) binhdinhensis, 0. (Megastomia) gestroides, O. (Jodanula) megembryon, Pyrgulina (Standeniella) difficilis, P. (Parthenina) monicae, P. (Pyrgulina) phohaiensis, Chrysallida phanthietina, Egilina gigantea, E. babellina, E. (Numaegilina) ventricosa, Babella cylindrica, B. crassicostata, Miralda franciscae, Turbonilla barthelemyi, T. (Asmunda) secta, Pyrgiscus infantilis, Careliopsis sublaevis, Cingulina inaequalis.

Few observations on the first male Pleopode of the genus Actea are available. Examining the possibility of using their characteristics for a taxonomic work, the authors expose the obtained data on the subject and describe the Pleopods of 18 species of Actea collected on the Viet-Nam seashores. A tentative to define the different types of Pleopods gives a new argument to consider and recognize the genus Banareia as a distinct genus of Actea.

The authors have identified 18 species of the genus Carpilodes, collected on the Viet-Nam sea shores; three species and one variety are new. A key for the identification of the thirty species and two varieties of the genus is associated with the description of the new forms. The pleopods 1 of the male for the great part of the species identified in Viet-Nam sea shores are figured.

The 1:50000 Vegetation Map of Cam Ranh Peninsula is one of the first study performed in South Vietnam; it aims to locate various vegetation on coastal sands and it represents a synthesis of phytogeographic observations. (Barry J.P. and Phung Trung Ngan, 1960, Barry J. P., Le-Cȏng-Kiet Hoang and Pham-Hȏ, 1961 Barry J. P., Le-Cȏng-Kiet and Vu-Van Cuong, 1961).

Study on the dispersion of Rayleigh waves across the China Sea in 1964 has given following conclusions: - Thickness of the crust below the Sea could be varied from 12 to 15 km according to the area. -There would be a slight diminution of the thickness when the Sea depth becomes deeper. - Central part of the Sea very probably belongs to the regional character no. 3 of Santo. The present work is known as the first which estimates particularly the thickness of the crust below the China Sea.

Mr. G. Ranson found a small collection of plankton in Nha Trang (Vietnam), during a mission in the Far East. The samples were harvested in the Bay of Cauda at a water depth of 15-20 m. The author examined a number of samples kept in formalin, extremely rich in diatoms and in good condition. The group of pelagic copepods has been the most carefully studied.
