2005: Rekord-Anlandungen an Nordseegarnelen (Crangon crangon L.) in Europa

Brown shrimp (C. crangon) landings are an important factor and ranked third in landings value of North Sea Fisheries. Landings data are gathered by country and kept separately. However, the Working Group on Crangon Fisheries and Life History (WGCRAN) of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) compiles statistical as well as biological data on brown shrimp. This group has met in Ijmuiden end of May 2006 and found new record landings in 2005 for all three major producers: Germany, The Netherlands and Denmark, summing up with The United Kingdom, Belgium and France to more than 38 000 tonnes of con-sumption shrimp, the highest landings ever recorded.

Regional Fisheries Advisory Committee Meeting 18th June, 1984

This is the report from the Regional Fisheries Advisory Committee meeting, which was held on the 18th June, 1984. The report contains information on fishing licence duties, the Flimby Arrangement and the Disease of Fish Acts 1937 and 1983. Also covered is the use of Rotenone in the Lancaster Canal at Stainton, and the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act, 1975. The Fisheries Advisory Committee was part of the Regional Water Authorities, in this case the North West Water Authority. This preceded the Environment Agency which came into existence in 1996.

This is the report from the Regional Fisheries Advisory Committee meeting, which was held on the 18th May, 1987. The report contains sections on fishing licence duties, the abolition of coarse fish close season in enclosed waters and applications to trap eels before the 25th June. The Fisheries Advisory Committee was part of the Regional Water Authorities, in this case the North West Water Authority. This preceded the Environment Agency which came into existence in 1996.
